I went to a virtual reality school called VictoryXR Academy! We took a tour around to see what VR school is all about and got to ask the staff questions to dig deeper into this!! What kinds of things can you expect from a hands-on education style? Learn all about it here. Comment below what kinds of educational experiences you wish to see in VR! Expect uniforms. Phia told a story about how she bought clothes from a designer that offered a virtual copy of her purchase she could wear on her avatar. If the avatar system standardized, it would be rich for marketing benefits.

I would do it for like 1 quarter to see if it was good or not then probably drop it. It most likely will be like any online school. Online school is known to have the least engagement compared to any kind of teaching method so far. VR might be different but doubt it.

tbh, not having a VR headset shouldn't be a limiting factor. uni/highschool is far more expensive than a VR headset and if this can reduce the cost of education, then it's a win-win-win. School gets cheaper, more people get access to VR and people get to enjoy VR outside of school as well since they now would own one.

This is very promising, with VR becoming more and more accessible, one day a VR school would definitely be more cost effective and in some cases more efficient. Actual sensory stimulation is of course more preferred for kids and some technical fields, but most of the time for teenage and adult learners VR sure would be great.

Because it closes off the world it becomes incredibly immersive And because of this attention is more keenly focused on what's right in front of your eyes I.E. making learning more efficient and fun VR is truly revolutionary and ever since I had the chance to try it I am literally saving up hundreds to get a PC rig and a headset myself

I predicted this a couple years ago. It just seems like it makes sense, the capabilities of VR are immense and the amount of unique demonstrations you can do in VR are endless. Online classing saves a lot in infrastructure and also general daily commuting, but losing the social aspect of school is hard. Things like bullying people for their appearance would go away, and people wouldn't feel so insecure about their hormonal bodies. Let's just hope people don't get into trouble for showing up in their big tiddy anime avatar

I can only imagine deep dive school. I'd love to actually feel like I am in space or in the deepest depths of the ocean in an instant without any real fear of danger. The future of interacting with things for class or in VR in general is gonna be insane. I am actually very interested in how far this can go in a learning sense. Normal school was never as interactive and encouraging as this has the potential to become.

I see this being great for language classes. For example, a common role play excerise is ordering at a restuarant. Imagine the classroom being a restuarent where you have complete menus in front of you. You get to read the menu and select a meal you would probably order.

This is an amazing concept to still give people some sort of social interactions during a school day with everything going on right now with covid. This could help so many people feel alittle more normal again as they walk with friends through school and actually have the ability to see them and interact with them through more than just a video call

I've always liked the idea of a classroom being taught online because I think it would be easier on military families. Since children would have a consistent ability to learn and not have to constantly to catch up to where their school is at. Plus they wouldn't have to leave their friends so they could form lasting connections

As much as i love the idea of a vr school i think i still prefer to go to school physically. For me atleast i like to be able to see my friends in person and i feel as though being at school physically could help you to make more friends.

I was literally suggesting this to my friends but then I remembered not everyone can afford VR including me but we have a computer and VRchat is free but I’m not sure if everyone in my class(again including me) can understand how to go around worlds, mute/unmute and etc.

Whenever VR education gets established, the students will most likely be provided a headset. And you can always learn how to travel to different worlds and use the controls within VR.

Student well my school an iPad is $75 per year to use and after 4 years we keep it so that could also go for a headset and if you break it you must get it fixed and etc etc especially if it’s an oculus

I've been learning sign language in VRChat for the last year and found myself close to conversational after a year - making much more process than other languages. I feel like VR has a lot of potential for learning. While learning sign language may have more to do with community, it did show me that VR has learning potential in places you may not think initially. As a budding game developer, I want to see how we can use the technologies for learning.

I would love to work with them! Thats the class i dreamed of. Its so inspiring that i really could try to make the same for teach TI (computer tech) But i also would love to have lessons with them. Since vr school is now a thing schools doing online because of the virus should be doing this (in my opinion) ; I’ve heard you don’t need a headset to play vr as well since it’s a computer game. My school is fully going online again next week and I think vr school would make school a little more fun than it is or was.
