I woke up at 9:30am started brewing at like 10:00am finished brewing at 12:08pm and then was all sleeved and ready by the end of players meeting at 1:10pm. Cutting it close and I am not just talking about my proxies.
Xyris Wheels is one of the most entertaining cEDH decks I have ever played and it can really get there. This deck has legs. Well, its a snake but you get the point.

Couple questions. This tournament was obviously proxy friendly, but what kind of proxies? Could they be home made? or have to be bought from mpc/etsy/etc? Do these tournaments have cash prizes or do you play for points in something or? Also, how do you personally create your proxies? Unless you buy them lol thanks. Love your channel man

This tournament was proxy friendly and allowed any proxy as long as the cards had the same art as an official magic card. I actually show my proxies at the end of the video they are just printed on printer paper, cut out, and sleeved over a real deck. This tournament had a 250 dollar prize pool donated by some of the organizers. Internal practice tournaments like this one are usually for a small prize or an altered art cEDH playable card but it’s up to the person hosting the event to provide prizes. We have a proxy tutorial on our discord that’s the method I use too. I basically just print them out and cut them out off of Deckstats. Moxfield also has a great printer friendly proxy function.

@@ElderDrunkenHighlander I see. I'm so tempted to get cool alt arts from MPC but a lot of the proxy tournaments I've heard only allow official wotc artwork sadly. Right, that makes sense. It’s better just to get the original art anyways because a lot of the cool art is put on those sites without the consent of the artist and usually if you really like art on there you can find the artist and get something from them. Deffo can’t make a living playing cEDH right now. Even if I did win everything which I don’t the prize pools are just too small. Maybe one day.

@@ElderDrunkenHighlander Well, I def did not know that. I figured the artist was the one that uploaded their images to the site. The usernames resemble artist profiles to me, but that's a great point. Thanks for letting me know. Right, I figured as much, but you grind tournaments so often and upload a lot of videos so I thought maybe it was your job! I heard Shauna say the silicon valley tournament prize pool was insane and the highest ever offered. That said, yeah, that would seem rough as a career lol What do you do if you don't mind me asking? Anyway, I appreciate the advice. I'll hop in the discord. I don't use discord much but I try lol
