The Onewheel GT that's been sitting unused has finally found a new home, and in exchange I got the first of a collector set of old boards that will include the original (V1) Onewheel, the Onewheel+ (or Onewheel Plus), and my first Onewheel, the XR. The monetary value of the trade items often gets cloudy when collector pieces are involved.

I rode a plus for the first time a couple months ago and it’s crazy to me how unprotected the underside of the board is😅 also ran through a whole battery in 2 miles

The OW+ was awesome when it finally shipped. Rail and bumper protection didn’t exist yet, that’s why so many are beat up. But that range anxiety was crazy. Was that a good exit downpipe on the street right behind where the trade happened?

I have the same one that I only replaced with 15S3P and it gets me over 25 miles in range. I weight 240 lbs.

It wouldn’t be the same board then. The Plus doesn’t use a 15s pack, it’s a different chemistry and voltage range than the XR.

@@MrDmadness No, I’m saying that a 15s3p battery doesn’t work in a Plus, it’s a different controller. The 15s3p pack works for the XR.

@@TheBoardGarage it should work fine if the l1 voltage is the same as the pack it's replacing. Plus models didn't have paired packs. Is plus not 15s ? The voltage should be the only factor. ( e.g if it's 10s then output voltage would be less, you could still make a bigger pack by adding more parallel cells )

@MrDmadness I’m aware of how pack voltages and capacities work. I’m saying it won’t work for the Plus, as it’s a different voltage range and cell chemistry. The V1 and Plus don’t use 15s li-ion batteries, they use a 16s LiFePO4 battery, and so you can’t just put an XR battery into a Plus.

I totally get this man, theres something about a pristine V1/Plus/XR that is just amazing to behold. I know how hard I tried to keep my XR looking factory new haha If I was gonna buy a board to make a display piece out of, it would definitely a V1 with the pink rails. Wonder how many of those are out in the wild

Sweet. I have the XR and just went on a 10 mile ride pushing my overall mileage over 80 miles. I have had it since new but stopped riding after my third fall that really hurt. Now after 2 years on it just to cruise very slow and carefully.

I traded 2 Pint X’s one with 100 miles and the other with 10. All brand new rail guards and bumpers for a GT with 170 miles. I was more than happy but kinda bummed out since I was able to buy those Pint X’s for $650.00 a piece, don’t think I’ll ever find a price like that again 😅 My current fleet: 1 GT 170 miles 1 Pint X 1800 miles 1 Pint CHI Battery 0 miles 1 Pint 0 miles 1 Pint 500 miles 1 Pint 800 miles

Rad dude. I have a 2020 XR with rail guards and skid plates that I made for it. If I ever pull them off she will look just like newish. No where near as good as yours though. It would be interesting to know the battery state after sitting for years. I know your not going to ride it to test the mileage but I think you may have some test equipment at hand to find out. I am looking forward to the retro series. Its interesting to see how the XR holds its value and the GT is not.

I never considered this might have value. I have a 1 mile plus I would be open to trade/sell with anybody. I only put the mile on it to test it worked

I bought a GT bundle $2850 In June 2023 didn’t like the ride . in October 2023 Installed WTF, rails, lowboy, footpads, (Combined 5/8 of an inch lower ), Goat tire $800 ;( It was a completely different board (and couldn’t ride it enough. And just in case it broke, I wanted back up one wheel Last week April 2024I bought an 2022 XR with 300 miles for $900 on FB . The modded GT is as fun as XR but almost 4 times the $ LOL
