I feel like the only reason it didn't get nuked from the inside is that there was no way to get gunpowder. If RT had built a secret room with chests full of gunpowder, redstone and TNT blocks it would've been a different story.

Roke Beedell True, those who pay to sub to support RT and his stream wouldn't necessarily want to grief (outside of the odd harmless practical jokes). There are the gifted subs who haven't paid anything themselves however who may feel differently. In general though I believe those that really bother to join the server, especially during these events, are those that enjoy RT's content & community and just want to have a good time with one another.

Have to consider it's a white-listed server for his Twitch subs. So we're talking about a lot of people who actively pay to support RT's stream which would remove a lot of desire to grief on his server, especially during these community events with him. There are however the gifted subs who haven't paid anything so some may feel a desire to grief, in general though they are still viewers who presumably enjoy RT's stream and most who would go through the effort of joining the server wouldn't want to grief. So I feel it really just comes down to that the vast majority of people that join the server enjoy RT's streams & community and are there to have a good time with him & one another. And as max said they would most likely have permissions set on the server to limit the potential for griefing, fire spread definitely seems to be disabled.
