Each year at Straand hotel in Vrådal there is a motorcycle meet where you can try all the bikes you want. Producers and retailers from all over norway bring their demo bikes for people to try, and I was told by Runa Grydeland from the youtube channel Off she goes that I have to go check it out. So I did, and had my first experience on a Harley Davidson and on a Ducati supersport.

That's so neat to be able to try different bikes, where I live, we don't have events like this. I've ridden a cruiser before and didn't care for the forward foot pegs, I'd like to be able to stand on my bike. I'd love to try a sport bike. I'm also a member of WIMA here in the USA and it was nice to see you talking to my Norwegian wind sisters. 🙂

Always interesting to try something different. Like coffee. And like coffee, there is something for everyone. You happen to have chosen one of the best travel bikes available. Not necessary to spend so much to get a lot of bike - the Tenere. Interesting watch. Ride safe 👍

I really think you may want to think about a wind shield riser or a higher and wider one. I have it and I like it long distance even more.

Over here in the UK they have an Adventure Bike Weekend meet, it's held in the grounds of a big stately home, they have off-road adventure trail riding, live music, food, lot's of guest speakers like Itchy Boot's, she was a guest speaker at last years event, they have lot's of other world vloggers and travellers being interviewed. It's a 4 day event paid in advance online, tent camping in the grounds, I believe you can test bikes and buy gear there. Not been myself but it sells out most years, you might get to meet Itchy Boot's if you take a trip there in the future. Look's like you are managing to have some good times now you are back home, but that's not the way to save up for your next big travel adventure is it, lol

Nice video 👍 I ride a 1250GSA but part of me want to ride a harley road glide or street glide touring bike across the USA. Looks like the only comfortable harley to me.

Hei.

Try a Harley Road Glide. Very comfortable touring bike.

You can't be serious. It has terrible suspension, no ground clearance, it kills your lower back with a totally unergonomic seating position. If you want to do comfortable touring, you gotta have an adventure style bike or a sport tourer (like FJR, RT etc).

@johnfrye8452 4 месяца назад
@@emilenossin5098 I currently have an adventure bike and really like it. I had a road glide for years and never had any of the problems you stated. I did an 18 hour ride on it with no problems. I seriously doubt that you have ever ridden a road glide.

I think Harleys are over rated. Where I live, rich older men ride Harleys . The alternative to HD are custom builds but now it seems that adventure bikes are all the rage. Great vid. Your editing skills are impressive!

As a FORMER Harley owner AND an American biker, I don't understand the appeal, either. I sold my HD Electra Glide back in 1981 and haven't bought another HD since then. Today, especially, they are way over priced, and not comfortable for a very long distance rider such as myself. You barely lean and they are scraping the foot boards. In all fairness to the bikes you didn't like that much, it is likely that you are just used to riding the Tenere. When I get a new bike, it takes time to get used to the feel of it, and the way it handles are responds. That looked like a great event. Norway is beautiful, I would love to ride a bike around it someday.

Tried the Harley Pan America, does not sound like a Harley , Goes like bat out of hell. The looks and price tag don't do it for me. Went with a used KTM 1090 adventure r . Waiting to try the 2024 KTM adventure 790. Great video, always nice trying different bikes.

True that it is more my fit, but it is too low and too bulky for me. If you go back on the channel you’ll see I was traveling with a friend on a Tiger 900 for 3 months so I got to know it pretty well. Great bike, just not as good as some others in most aspects.

Yeah I’ve tried that too. It is awesome, and I love riding it. But that has the same issues as the BMW and KTM in that it’s got too much fancy stuff on it and is heavier than the T7

Alright I see. I got a CB500X myself, got it as a first bike after grabbing the license 2 years ago. U thinking about ever arranging a group ride? It would be a great way to meet likeminded people. I find it so hard to find people to explore with (live at byåsen).

Dude, the new age Harleys are probably more to your liking, Try the PanAmerica (no telling what it is called there) or the new Sportster. Betcha like those. Not vibrations, power pulses... I ride Harleys (as well as my Urals), that one, customs in general, are not my speed either.... Wait, you think a Ducati is hard to ride? The HD must have been torture! Practise, that is how you get it to steer...it's different...not my thing either and yes, I would kill myself on one.... One more thing, my HD is a dresser with a sidecar (of course) easy chair comfort, rubber mounted motor, smooth as glass, until you stop. Then it becomes a Milwaukee vibrator. Basically, you chose the wring 2 Harleys, IMHO...been riding Harleys since the 80's...

Men denne nye generasjonen ser mer konkurransedyktig ut. Er forøvrig ganske nøyaktig like gammel som deg og hatt MC lappen like lenge.

Kjører ktm 890 A

Hi I think you - just like me - did find out, that you have bought exactly the best bike for what you want to do with it. 😉👍🏻 A sportsbike is for 1 hour cafe rides, a GS is to heavy, a Harley adventure bike is total bullshit and an Multistrada is a complex overpowered italian electric diva. Stay with your T7!

Riding a Harley is more about the culture and the lifestyle, most of the time Harley riders will only ride with Harley riders, normally with outrageously loud exhausts. I owned a couple of Harleys about 30 years ago and joined HOG, Harleys riders are almost cult like in their devotion to the brand,I was never that dedicated so sold my bike, they really are not a great bike to ride in my opinion, they are a bit boring. Now the professional types ride BMWs, gone are the days of the bad boy look the Ewan and Charlie look has taken over. 😂😂😂😂😂😂

Why folks like Harley? Besides the BS reasons. Different strokes for different folks. It is what one gets used to and I am not a fan of forward controls... Keep in mind folks ask the exact same thing about Teneres... Looks uncomfortable as hell to me... Ride what you like, like what you ride, like the folks you ride with...
