I've been thinking about the same thing. Like extravagant mansions have on the curved walls at the entrance with a curved staircase on each side. Also, they really need to fix the curved walls lol. They're really buggy.

The only broken game I actually enjoy is werewolf. Idk what it broke but the sims are more unhinged than ever. I look away and my family somehow hates each other. My sims bf/gf are also dating other sims. And idk why I enjoy this XD

They're just adding the good stuff so that people stay to the Sims after paralives gets released

I built a portion of my sim’s house with half walls the size of short walls. They put plates up there. There’s a roof on it. Why do they put plates there. Why. Why. Why

And let's not talk about friezes, exterior trims, or mezzanine style rooms. 😭

@@bigsiskrishere the friezes made me cry at one point. I was trying to modify Vlads house and I was so absolutely frustrated even after looking up RU-vid tutorials.

@@bigsiskrishere roofs in general as well; what a mess ! Especially since that bug James turner spotted before sims 4 officially realised where roofs clip though open interior balconies is still in the game

I'm low key upset about it. I saw another simmer explain that the game doesn't even consider it a whole room and messes up builds. I know this isn't "final" but I also have my doubts that we will actually get bug fixes on these.

I guess we'll have to wait and see when they release the update - as kayak introduces all these videos, this was super early content, so they may have been rushed for the early access release, but focused on them in the time since.

Well, to be fair, build mode was never designed to accommodate such features to begin with and there's only so far as you can go to push its original limitations. The only other option I guess is to completely remake build mode from scratch... which is extremely complicated and will probable break a dozen of other things in the whole game (like old builds, pathfinding etc). So, with this in mind, I think Maxis has to make a tough call that having a useful utility that works janky is better then having none. And I can respect that.

@@igorkoskin5214 yeah I 100% get that, but in my opinion releasing new content in that state sets the bar super low for future content too, and is pretty harmful to newcomers. I know how junky build mode is as I build for the gallery regularly, and I'm not new to it, but to me this mechanic is bringing me back to the release of my wedding stories

Me too, I’d rather have it _work_ so it is better for us all in the long term, rather than them only thinking in the short term and then we suffer from bugs that they won’t/can’t fix for YEARS…

Have you guys ever considered it looks like EA doesn’t care and pushes their workers so hard because you guys are always complaining and critiquing them on every single thing and threatening to delete sims every single moment?? Like have you ever considered maybe THAT’S why the packs Always seem so rushed and the workers seem so stressed? Just wondering

@@rawfermews4186 this wasn’t a problem in sims 3….. because the packs were actually good. The sims 4 packs are them trying to make as much money as possible. They’re trying to please us but we are telling them what we want. We could have had an amazing supernatural pack and town but instead they make them separate. They’re rushing because they’re trying to put out pack after pack. Half the stuff could of been in the base game and a bunch of the game packs could have came with the expansions. If they worked on expansion packs that include game packs they’re also working on we would get great expansion packs with amazing results that they took their time on…. And people wouldn’t complain. If they did it with the other sims they can do it for sims 4.

I'm a programmer and I was just thinking about this. Imagine the stress of always having to send broken code because they don't let you do anything in the time that's needed.

sims 3 was way better and had way better content with worse graphics and nobody complained because of it if they could create sims 3 then they can create good content AND graphics in sims 4

This, walls down may help. Also when building rounded decks, I furnish "from outside the room" rather than from inside, I find furniture placement a bit easier this way.
