Its hilarious to me that none of the Amish businesses will know you reviewed them because ... theyre Amish, so no social media 😂 But as usual, you were honest and fair and your insights are appreciated.
I went to NFL Hall of Fame museum in Canton Ohio. We stayed a hotel that was connected to an Amish restaurant. Some of the BEST food I have ever had in my 46 years of life. Their broasted chicken was just ridiculous... We had that every night...lol... I don't think they have ever seen a black person in their life...lol... but that food was unforgettable... Shoutout to my Amish homies...lol...
@@GerryDrukh They don't class themselves as "white", and are not like your standard "white" person. To them, if you're not Amish, you're "English", whether you're white or black. Additionally, there are several hundred black Amish spread across the Eastern half of the US.
Whatttttttt bruh he was all up in laurel 😇I’m shocked Amish market is stamp but they smoothie stand is banging you had to ask for extra syrup 🎉🎉🎉🎉 bruh Djs line always bumpin that spicy chicken go crazy and yes the Amish market is always crowded like that “ ALWAYS”😂😂😂😂
Bro you gotta hit the Pennsylvania Dutch Amish market in Annapolis MD, they stay with the heat. I think you might like them even more than the other places you've been to.
One of the BEST spots to go is the Amish Market! That is one me and my Mom's FAVORITE spots to go! The chicken AND the wedges are AWESOME there! The next time you go, try the crab dip!
Thank you for coming to the Laurel, MD Amish Market. When you asked for recommendations, I completely forgot to list it. I wish you had some of DJ’s fried “crack” chicken. That place is always busy. The market is only open 3 days a week, so I’m sure people had attitudes and tired of the long lines.
Thanks for coming to Maryland.. if your still here try Miss Shirley’s Cafe and order the shrimp and grits with fried green tomatoes 😋 (it’s 2 Shirley restaurants make sure you go on Coldspring Ave or Pratt St locations don’t get it confused with Shirley Family Diner that place is trash- thank me later 🤣(the one on Pratt street isn’t too far from Lexington market- still in downtown Baltimore area) Also check out our famous crab cakes at Lexington Market called “Faidleys” And another spot is our famous corn beef sandwich spots on Lombard street called “Weiss deli “ make sure you order one Reuben sandwich and one corn beef sandwich with Swiss cheese ,onions, and mustard
How did you go to an Amish market and not get fresh cheese and apple pie ??? I was born and bred in Brooklyn .. the big B-K… but we had relatives in P.A … my mom would look forward to the visits … not because of the in laws 💩…but because of the Amish Markets we passed on the trip
Hey brother, long time watcher (heheh) first time commenter! You may not need any more hype, but I still wanted to let you know you're one of the GOATS in the food review game! Much love and well wishes from Windsor, Canada ❤
Fun facts about Amish community. They eat natural of course and work hard physical labor. Because of that, their lifespan is among the longest of any north American group. That's crazy because of butter, oleo etc but it just goes to show you that things like butter and natural milk and fat are not as bad for you. So I started drinking raw milk etc and I have physical job and go to gym. I have Amish community near me. 1 year into drinking raw milk etc. I've gotten healthier. No Cap. Had to edit cause I didn't mention how delicious their food is. Raw/ warm / fresh milk with cinnamon toast crunch ready to make a fresh bowl was life changing. Fresh butter and fried cheese curds were impressive as well as things like dumplings and ham they make and their own lamb and other livestock. Overall 8.5 or 9 for my Amish community in my area. Great people and Great food.
Another fun fact: The Amish opposed slavery from the very beginning and many were abolitionists. Many Amish helped runaway slaves on the Underground Railroad escape to freedom. They have been quality people from the very beginning.
Bro' they are connected to the Amish market in germantown MD. The wings are a beast. I had them before I found out they cook with animal fat. They don't usually use a lot of salt. But you would think they flavored it with more...it's that good
You're a brave and AMAZING man for doing what you like to do... Eat. I'm a young ole school woman (I have old parents) and I was taught the way to a man's heart is through his stomach. God bless you boo
You were in my neck of the woods. We used to go there every Saturday and my faves are their dill pickles, jalapeño habanero cheese, fried chicken and Rueben sandwich. You really made your way around the DMV💜🫶🏾💜
I got some ribs from an Amish barbecue vendor in the Reading Terminal Market in Philadelphia a few years ago. I walked by the spot several times, but they looked so good, I just had to stop. To my surprise, they had some of the best ribs I've ever tasted. I hope they're still there when I make it back to Philly.
Too bad you did not try the fried chicken there. When I lived in Maryland, you had to go early to get that fried chicken. The lines are ALWAYS crazy there but it is worth it. You damn near bite your fingers off ita so good.
If you're at an Amish market and that one in particular, you should get the shoo-fly pie. And if you're looking to go all the way, you get it with soft serve vanilla ice cream.
I went to the local farmers market to get some fruit. They had different variations of chicken flavored pickles I got the rotisserie chicken and hot Nashville chicken pickles. They were the greatest pickles I have ever had in my life, bro! 7.5/10
You need to hit the Amish Market in Annapolis. Get your chicken and get a cheesesteak log (cheesesteak stuffed pretzel). Unfortunately, the pretzel spot took over restaurant. The pretzels hit hard. Also check out Julep if you make it to Annapolis. The smoked wings with their Blackberry Chipotle Bbq sauce is a must.
Acadiana, as defined by the louisiana legislature, refers to the area that stretches from just west of New Orleans to the Texas border along the Gulf of Mexico coast, and about 100 miles (160 km) inland to Marksville. This includes the 22 parishes of Acadia, Ascension Assumption, Avoyelles, Calcasieu, Cameron, Evangeline, Iberia, lberville, Jefferson Davis, Lafayette Lafourche, Pointe Coupee, St Charles, St. James, St. John The Baptist, St. Landry, St. Martin, St. Mary, Terrebonne, Vermilion, and West Baton Rouge. The total land area of Acadiana is 14,574.105 square miles (37,746.76 square kilometers). If Acadiana was a U.S. state, it would be larger than Maryland; if it were a sovereign state, it would be larger than the Bahamas Just a lil history of how acadiana became to be
It’s hard enough to park at this one!! If you are in this area also check out the one in upper Marlboro or annapolis. The one in laurel has gotten a lot of social media attention since COVID and it makes it really hard to get parked and enjoy your shopping
you gotta go back and get that chicken !! that's why the farmers market is famous .... the lines look long but there are 3 ...most people dont' realize it and wait in one LOOOOOOONG line....when you get the chicken it will be worth it.....
This is my spot and the food is delish!!!!!!!!! My Mom and I frequent this one and the fresh vegetables, fruits, turtles, smoked cheeses, smoked turkey chops, freshly ground seasonings😋😋😋😋😋. Pickles👍👍
Let’s talk about the Amish market in Laurel n Upper Marlboro aka Brown Station road. The Laurel location is bigger…. Their chicken wings (that he didn’t have a chance to taste) are really good but so are the ones at Brown Station….. JMPO- the Amish market pickles are A1 at both locations- especially the spicy and garlic ones. I heard the breakfast at Brown Station for $2 is a hit.. (I’ve never had it) but it is always packed. The seafood salad at Brown station slaps… I don’t recall liking the one in Laurel…. Overall, if you are looking for farmer fresh meats, fruits, etc., the amish markets are the way to go. But get there early (IYKYK) also, the amish are usually friendly with me but the locals have turned them ghetto 😂😂😂😂. I also forgot to mention: both locations rave high on their desserts…
I love the Amish market. Every time I go to Virginia I make sure to get there. You should've got in the line for the wings it actually moves pretty quickly. Can't wait to get back that way.
I always wanted to try Amish cakes and breads. I want to try anything fresh they make. I know those pickles sound good. I'm sure all the pickled and canned stuff is good too.
Take a road trip to the Yoders in Charlottesville, Va and get the coconut custard pie… it will change your life. Its so good that I ate the entire pie while my hubby was driving us back home to Woodbridge, Va I hated myself when I got home… but loved the pie!!!
Chime it was worth the wait. Trust Bro. The fry the wings and it has a spicy finish. I enjoyed the review. You gotta check out Chicken and Friends. Great job my guy.
I live 15 minutes from there. That spot next to home depots and we there every weekend and your reviews are 💯 correct and on point. Their fried chicken is banging too.
Fun fact about Amish: when he was a teenager, Sean "Puffy" Combs was involved in a city/country exchange program where he had to go spend months with an Amish family in Pennsylvania and he rode on horse and buggy and he had positive memories of these times. He talked about this on a talk show and said he wondered if the family he lived with knew that he became successful but they probably don't know because they don't have TV.
@@Heyitschy03 you seem like the type that believes anything people say if it's bad. you're very negative. You probably believe Michael Jackson was abused little boys.
Get the fried chicken wings next time bro. When them chickens come out the fryer, Lawd it’s pandemonium. My chunky ass need about 15 of them hot whole wings and keep em cookin
They've really expanded that. I lived in MoCo when it first opened, and it was the place to go if you weren't making the trek to Lancaster. After they opened the one in Germantown, that was closer. I still prefer Lancaster.
I'm definitely fascinated by their business set-up because a lot of people don't know this but they don't have driver's licenses, business licenses, LLCs, or anything that involves contracting with the government and when they are accepting your payments I'm very curious as to what legal loop hole they used to also not pay taxes either and use the government funny money.
I love that Amish Market! Everything is so fresh! I love the regular pretzels and Buffalo chicken pretzel log. The chicken was good. I enjoyed the popcorn too.
Check out the one in upper Marlboro too. If you go around Christmas, make sure you bring an overnight bag, phone charger and blanket because you will be there a min…the lines are crazy!!! 5030 Brown Station Rd, Upper Marlboro, MD 20772
One the best almost breakfast place I know of it’s a little auction place that you sell a lot of stuff like farm tools and stuff like that but they have a good sausage and biscuits and if you want gravy and biscuits🤤 it is somewhere in Kentucky
Try the one in germantown next time. Get an apple cider donut and a blueberry fritter from the donut shop, a salted pretzel w/side of cheese, and a sausage and cooper pretzel from the pretzel shop. Then get fried chicken from the chicken spot. Anything else fresh out the fryer is worth getting from there.
Good homemade pickles, guaranteed fresh churned butter in everything, real sugar and probably local made bacon. Love to see you expand outside the norm and try this. I need them pickles stat!
Chime you mentioned the glaze on all the sweets. You never mentioned the taste and texture of the fresh baked breads. This is some of the best food you can get.
