I don’t live in Detroit anymore, but I will always love my city. Buddy’s brings back memories. I’m so grateful I can still get jet’s pizza where I am now.

Was just saying it was even BETTER when they had the restaurant in Greek town... is it still there?!?!? Was closed last time I was in town. I go about 3 times a year for Red Wings games...had to go to the other smaller location last time and unfortunately didn't have time to wait for the deep dish but the Detroit style was still amazing
I wrote a paper about Pizza Papalis Seafood Pizza. It use to hang up in there downtown store. My family always went there for all our major celebration. At least 5 or 6 times a year for there seafood Pizza. They have good salads too.
I lived in Michigan for some years and Green Lantern was always my go to if we went out for pizza, soooooo bomb!!!! If we ordered in it was Hungry Howies😊

Great reviews! I like this format where you try one dish from 5 or 6 restaurants and review on the same video. (Although it would be nice to have the results on the same video). BTW, what did oyu do with all the extra pizza? In one video you showed that you give it the homeless. Thanks for your work.
Love your reviews brother ... also pizza papalis was the BOMB when they had the full restaurant in Greek Town... last time I was in town it was closed down so we had to go about 10 mins outside downtown to get it... it used to be even better
New York style will probably always be my favorite, but I’ve been liking Detroit style more and more every time I eat it. It’s definitely a close second. It’s for sure better than Chicago deep dish. Detroit Style usually always has the little pepperoni cups that get crispy which is the best and that crispy outside crust is hella good.
Detroit native here. Every pizza here is an excellent example of Detroit style pizza. Jets may not be quite on the same level as the others but, definitely deserves and honorable mention. Great example of Detroit style pizza but at a much more reasonable price.

You asked for best pizza joints in Detroit, I gave you Pizza Pappalis. I retired in Florida and haven’t found a pizza joint that matched Pizza Pappalis. I am so glad it made your standards. When I do go back to Detroit, I will go back to Pizza Pappalis knowing it is still kicking high. Thank you 🙏🏽 for checking out my suggestion.
Most of those pizza's you showed looked awesome, except for Buddy's. Seeing that pizza chain only brought up a horrible experience I had when they released it in my area. Pretty much one of the only decent place for Detroit style in my area happens to be Jet's.
Welcome to the D!!! I'm not a Detroit style pizza fan, but you gotta try Gregg's pizza on Livernois, get the Gregg's special, and Black Chinese food on 14th and Davison.
In my opinion, the best pizza has that crunch from the crust & that sweet from the sauce. You cannot go wrong! Bitter sauce will turn the best pizza into garbage 🤷♀️ Love your content btw!! ❤✌️ @Mr.ChimeTime , what is your favorite pizza EVER??!!
Have you heard the story behind Buddy's? A cook at louies stole the recipe and started Buddy's, that's why I won't eat there when I go back to Detroit. I will remain loyal to Louies because they are the original real deal. Owner of Buddy's is a douche 😊
Just had the misfortune of ordering a pizza from them a few days ago. Mid is an understatement. And it cost me like $30 for four slices when you factor in tip and delivery. They are trash

This guy is legit, I have tried all the above pizzas and came to the same conclusions (also worked at a few of the places mentioned). I know for a fact that green lantern makes everything from scratch or at least used to when I worked there as a teen. My family goes to pizza poplis for deep dish on the regular.
Love that pizza Mr. Chimetime - but next time ask for some xtra sauce on the side. Makes a world of difference - Also for the very best in Pizza ( regular) cheese pizze, no better place than New Haven , CT. (Sally's/ Modern, etc..)
He's right, being from the D I have to say that Green Lantern za is awesome and is the king, Cloverleaf for me 2nd, Shields & PizzaPapalis 3rd, not a fan of Loui's or Buddy's and I have not tried Sicily's or Grandma Bobs but I plan to check them out.
