I Tried Explaining the Political Nuances of Amphibia's Species-Based Caste System 

For once, I utilized the knowledge I learned in college for my videos lol

I honestly think the caste system, though Andrias may've started it, is mostly the Core's fault, at least its persistence into the events of the show (feeding Aldrich beliefs that he passed onto his son, lying to Andrias about his friends to increase his grudge's power, and all that). Andrias regretted his actions separating frogs and toads and newts, but the Core wouldn't allow that to happen and further complicated things by constantly searching for that regret so it could finally lay waste to that feeling.

Usually, the very mention of "political" instantly bugs me. But I can't wait to see how you've analyzed that aspect of Amphibia and its various species of peoples

I. Love. Politics xD. Amphibia definitely did lore the right way by taking real world elements from history and telling a separate but underlying story to the main story. This doesn’t make the story told in the show purely about a few characters changing the world, but also about how societal developments, politics and historical developments effects the course of the story, which is way more interesting. And especially to those who care about the lore, it instantly increases the lore’s depth and importance and makes it useful when trying to understand the story that was actually told. I really hope we get to see more stuff like this. It would be interesting to see societal developments being as central to the story as the main characters. It would’ve also been really fascinating if we could have for example seen the fascinating, awe-inspiring and gruesome culture of the Puritans in The Owl House. It would’ve been a lot more nuanced than it being sort of referred to when the lore of that show touch on Belos’ past.

I absolutely noticed some parallels to real-world politics while watching the show, but I think this video sums everything up perfectly. You've given much more detail than I could've ever noticed and gave a lot of really good insight as someone who is much more well-versed in history. Amazing video!!

4:05 Uuuuh, you do know that Loggle’s an Axolotl, right? They’re not… “One Google later” Apparently, Axolotls are a type of Salamander. And Salamander’s are so closely related to Newts that it probably makes sense why there’s arguable Salamanders amongst the Newts.

I didn't know Loggle was a newt lol. I also usually don't care about politics but this was entertaining.

Ironically enough, we've actually been talking about the industrial revolution in History class recently. As well as some other things mentioned in this video. I love everything that you pointed out, and it was a lot to take in. I enjoyed every minute of this video. I'm surprised I didn't zone out. I can barely focus in History class but Ig when you start talking about Amphibia I'm immediately drawn in, lol. I do like history overall though so I very much enjoyed this video. I do think amphibia took a page from modern history like the Russo Chechen war or the constitutional crisis in Russia (wow I mentioned Russia twice)

And then it’s casually resolved in 11 minutes when Anne just yells at them to get along and they get along because they felt bad for Anne. The power imbalance and caste system is never addressed, they just hate each other over surface-level stereotypes.

"Amphibia" is my favorite show about socialist revolution in the land of sentient humanoid frogs!😀 Jokes aside, very good analysis of that strange social situation that we saw in the show
