Fun fact, your food should be on the outer perimiter of the microwave plate to ensure even cooking. The middle doesnt get heated in the microwave. So if you put food in the dead center of the microwave, its not going to cook evenly. Hope this helps someone, cuz it definitely was a game changer for me

The wattage of the microwave that you use plays a big part in how long it takes for your food to warm up which they should have mentioned on the warming instructions because not all microwaves are the same

No lie my microwave sucks for sure 😩 However I think the timing is just off in general because even when I followed the oven temp and directions, it wasn't warmed up enough. I appreciate you watching💕

play with the microwave settings. There's usually a base setting of low, medium, high wattage. Yours may just be set on low.

that's a 700w microwave you are using , that's y it takes so long . most people microwave is 1200 or 1100 watt.

I tried factor this week. I think it makes sense if you’re focused on portion control, eating a balanced meal, and tracking macros. It’s easier to plug these numbers into MyFitnessPal than when cooking from scratch. The meals I’ve had are good enough for me to want to eat the whole meal but not as good as home cooked necessarily. However I do think they are way better than frozen dinners for sure. Just my 2 cents!

I totally agree, Factor is not perfect and I definitely prefer the taste of home cooked meals. After i've had them more than 2 weeks, I tire of the taste tbh but they ARE better than frozen dinners. I appreciate you watching💕

Thank you sm for the honest review! Usually I wouldn’t think microwave time and exact nutrient facts are a big deal but it’s tough to market yourself as a diet-geared meal kit with minimal effort and mess those two things up. I get the regional ingredients change but it should change *that* significantly if recipes are followed.

I totally agree and I know for a fact my microwave is old but even the oven cook times didn't work for me. It's not bad but if you're in a crunch and only have a short lunch break, it gets more difficult. I appreciate you watching 💕

I've been thinking about trying Factor since I'm heading into my busy season as a window cleaner. I'm pretty exhausted by the end of the day, although I like to cook my own meals, sometimes it just doesn't work out. Too often I'll resort to fast food, or a frozen pizza. Neither are very healthy, especially as I'm about to hit 50. Thank you for the honest review!

Currently, I don't get factor every week but when I anticipate being busier than usual, I'll get it for that busy time and it helps me a lot. Just started a new full-time job so I got Factor for the first couple weeks to make sure I can make healthier choices even when I don't have the energy to cook😊 You're very welcome! That's actually crazy that the food didn't heat up after 2-3 minutes in the microwave. I am the same way, steak over chicken but that creamy mushroom chicken meal does sound like something you can recreate. But the price honestly isn't so bad for someone who needs quick meals on the go.

Wattage is key. 1000 to 1200 watt microwaves are the best and would be perfect for these meals.

Nice. Explained what you liked and why. Noted the sharable link they toss in to get you to do their advertising, and pointed it out. Didn't feel like you were reading from the same script the previous three reviews I'd seen seemed to have. Didn't "have the salmon, which is farmed and I'd prefer wild caught." Like it seems is the first meal everyone has... Just Nice.

I tried every plate but it’s not pre made meals like factor is. To me it was like getting half of your groceries delivered to your door bc there will be items you will still need to pick up from the store or already have in your pantry. It would probably be easier and cheaper if you were to get a recipe book vs getting every plate. Unless you need your groceries delivered !

The heating issues relates to the wattage on your microwave. I have one oven that requires 5 minutes and the other 3 minutes, but 2 has never been enough because my fridge is always at the lowest temp.

My job had gifted me a months worth of factor meals while I was on maternity leave. It was very convient for me to have because I was able to pop food in the microwave when caring for my little one for lunch during my husband's work hours. All the options I chose were pretty good and the portion sizes were good also. The only reason why I wouldn't do it again is because of the price. I'm a good cook and I'm already good at meal prepping. I can make all the food I chose for a more affordable price and it will be enough for my whole family. Other than that, it is a good time saver. If you eat out often but don't have any healthy restaurants around you, this would be a good option.

The reason why your Microwave wasn't working is because you don't have an 1100 watt Microwave. Your microwave isn't cooking hot enough. I know cause I own the same microwave as you and it will NOT cook a pot pie at all.

Yeah I tried factor v blue apron... my opinion is blue apron for the win.. the protein portions were bigger w factor but overall food was better w blue apron, microwave times also were more on point w blue apron.

I had a meal that was supposed to take about 4 minutes and it took at least 10. Even then, it was barely warm. If I hadn’t removed the broccoli, it would have been mush.

I tried Hello Fresh a few yrs ago. They lured me in with the "free meals" they were offering. 😮‍💨I wasn't a fan of cutting up veggies and the lack of season. Factor seems to be more convenient. I'm going to try them but I won't be starting with the 3 meals a day lol

I do like HelloFresh when it comes to cooking for my family but Factor is a wee bit more convenient just for 1 off meals (and quicker too.) I only get an hour for my lunch break so having a full meal in under 4 mins is hard to beat😩 I appreciate you watching💕

Mine actually weren't frozen, I kept them in the fridge! But I don't think they taste like frozen food tbh especially compared to other microwavable meals I've had in the past. I appreciate you watching💕
