I Tried Memorizing Surah AlBaqarah | What Happened 

I just finished reading my English Quran after starting it last Ramadan (I've been going through a lot of trials) and I cried reading the last few pages because felt surreal finishing it for the first time I felt even more Muslim and proud if that makes sense 😂 Alhamdulillah

After watching your video on memorising surah Baqarah, I’ve made it my 2024 goal insh’Allah. May Allah made it easy on us 🌸

I started with you but i fell behind after verse 26, alhamdulillah now i am in the 200s and although i couldn't keep up, the memorization challenge got the ball rolling, in sha Allah i will soon be done within a few weeks. It's such a great gift to be able to memorize even a little, everyday I look forward to the day i'll have completed it, in sha Allah.

My mom is learning how to read Arabic for the first time. She got assigned ayah 177 for homework yesterday. Even though I’ve been reading Quran for years… it took a whole hour just for me to be able to recite it properly with tajweed and teaching her how to read it properly. Memorizing that ayah would have taken me days. You guys were so ambitious to make the goal of memorizing 1 ayah/day! I know that didn’t happen for the whole year, but I am so impressed still. Mashaallah

May Allah make it easy for you to complete the memorization, ameen 🤲💐 you're so on point, being ahead of 0% is so much already! I've also started my hifz of surah al-Baqarah and also facing struggles. My problem is lack of discipline :( my recommendation for anyone memorizing is to listen to Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan's tafsir lectures along the way to connect better with the meaning of the verses 👍

Alhamdulillah I started my Surah Baqara memorization journey in May.2022 and ended January, 2023. Initially the memorization was not that good then we stated revision with other sisters. Three days per week, every week one page (our first revision). The first revision was so struggling. After finishing 1st revision then proceeded 2 pages per day, that mneans 6 pages per week. Alhamdulillah we are still continuing our revision. One para every week. Masa Allah, Alhamdulillah I pray my prayers with Surah Baqara. Group work is very important!

The best way for reviewing is to read suratul baqarah completly in one session every 3 days. Its by the way very beneficial in so many ways. I didnt memorize surat al baqarah, but i am pretty sure that if i would try to memorize it, it would be very easy for me in sha Allah because i am so used to read it. I started the memorization this January. At beginning I was following your schedule but I ended up doing a bit like I could because I don't speak arabic (I'm French) so learning the Quran is a reel challenge for me. But inch'allah I'll make it and I'll learn arabic through out the way inch'allah ! ^^

Assalam Alaikum! The Hifz Al Baqarah playlist on RU-vid by Dr. Farhat Hashmi is really helpful to use as a reference to track oneself. I think memorizing small sections at a time is often easier. One thing that helps me with independent hifz is to listen to myself through voice recordings and note my mistakes. Also continuously reading the verses by looking at them allows me to memorize the position of certain verses on a page which aids the process. May Allah make it easier for all of use ❤

Are you planning on doing another challenge with smaller Surat like Almulk? One thing I learned that help with memorizing as well from scholars on RU-vid videos about this topic is listening. They say pick a favorite reciter and listen to verses you’re focusing on on repeat then start memorizing, May Allah help us all achieve our goal and guide us to his path. Subhanallah sister. Thank you for this.. I have also fallen behind but pressing on. I also fell behind in Ramadan despite thinking it was going to be the best month... because I also took on too much. When I found this program I was so excited because like you I need a story or an understanding of what's going on... And most traditional memorization programs don't focus on this. The transitions have also been my biggest challenge Alhamdilillah my son and daughter who are huffaz are keeping me accountable.

My struggles are EXACTLY the same struggles you mentioned. like word for word. I was amazed as I listened to each one you mentioned because I thought I was alone in some of them (like skipping sections). I almost gave up twice but now i'm back at it. please pray for me that I memorize it and the whole Qur'an solidly

Al hamdulillah dear sister. You did a great job ma cha Allah. It was a long cherished dream of me to finish surah al baqarah, I started and stopped many times and never actualy reached the end. This year I made the intention to revise till where i reached and complete the surah al hamdulillah ❤ it was such a wonderful feeling to finally reach the end with the Help of Allah. Memorization becomes a little difficult process as we progress from childhood to youth to middle-aged to old age. Memorizing long surahs will be an even more challenging and arduous task. We all know that, as reported in Muwatta hadith book, Abdullah ibn Umar (ra), one of the closest companions of the Prophet Muhammad pbuh, said that, it took eight years for him to learn Surat al-Baqarah. However, we should keep on trying to memorize atleast a few Surahs or verses of long Surahs. 🌿🌿🌿

After downloading your Surah baqarah memorization plan I started my hifz journey with an intention of sticking to the plan and memorizing one ayah a day…. But I'm soooo grateful to Allah he sent me my cousin (who's a haafiz e Quran) just the very next day and I asked him out if he could help me. He's helping me so much in this now that I'm wayyy ahead of the planner already alhamdulillah… What I suggest the sisters is to have a mentor who's already done it before and start memorizing under their guidance… may Allah help us all and make it very easy for us ❤

Salam, For me it's important to learn the links between ayat. And I always group the ayat into chapters related to the meaning so I know what comes next which is my greatest struggle in memorizing. But I am far away from memorizing Surat Baqara so that's a long way to go 😅

❤️ Proud to be a Muslim, Alhamdulillah! ❤️ And a part of the Ummah of prophet Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wa sallam 🌺 But to all those reading this comment, whether you're the person whose channel it is or you're just a viewer; I would like you to spend a moment to reflect on, "Am I truly being a Muslim?" I mean Islam means to submit your will to Allah totally and that starts with the 5 pillars but then moves on to other things that are haram too. So here are just a few general things I think many of us maybe doing that we can change, or if we're not doing them then just sharing it with others can help too Insha Allah 1. Allah has made women as precious stones or 💎 that are supposed to be protected and hidden from any harm. That is why we are instructed to observe the proper hijab, meaning covering our whole body from head to toe with the exception of face upto the chin and hands upto wrists, with clothes that aren't tight, see through, attractive (glittery, satin etc) or that imitate men or non muslims. And other things like perfume, jewellery, makeup that are considered adornments shouldn't be worn infront of non mahrams 2. But Hijab isn't limited to our outfits rather we should make sure that in our speech there isn't softness or jokes and laughter, we shouldn't be present in mixed gatherings, or take or upload our pictures wit or without hijab both, and you can refer to a video of sheikh assim on this as he is an authentic and reputed scholar, that can give you in depth info 3. Music is haram and any songs or nasheed without music that contains un islamic lyrics, are also not allowed to be listened to 4. Nail, hair extensions are not allowed in islam 5. We know that not cutting nails beyond 40 days is not permitted but even before 40 days if you are lengthening your nails purposely, like to follow a trend then that should be avoided as it is like imitating the disbelievers 6. Plucking, trimming, threading etc of eyebrows is not permitted 7. RU-vid channels for women are not allowed in islam and there is a rich wisdom behind this that again you can refer to sheikh assim's video on, or you can check out Dr Muhammad salah video on huda tv 8. Apart from both the Eids no festivals are part of our religion whether that's mawlid or non muslim origin things like birthday, anniversary, new years or some other days like independence day for example. There is a beautiful video on this subject, infact several videos of sheikh assim that you can refer to for the exact specifications. 9. Stay away from the sins of the tongue like backbiting (saying something behind someone's back that is true and he would not like to be said), slander(lying behind one's back), making assumptions, nameema (telling someone that this person said such and such bad stuff about you). Stay away from reading, listening, typing or saying these things as all of these are huge sins 10. Hanging images on walls of living beings is haram as it prevents angels of mercy from coming into your house 11. Taking your husband's name or last name after marriage is not part of Islam. 12. Allah has also asked us to instruct good and forbid evil to others. And that is obviously with wisdom and saying the right thing in the right moment. Or if you don't have the authority to do something or saying anything will be harmful then just atleast don't promote it or support it or even witness it. So that you don't have to be questioned about anything with Allah. Even you're own sins, stop them and don't promote them too. Also, if you don't do a sin then don't do it on behalf of others like you don't post your pictures but you share other girls reels on social media. Alot of us do that sometimes. Build yourself and help others too. 13. Even just as a joke too we can't engage/promote or imitate haram stuff or stuff of the disbelievers for example 14. Public display of affection in a way that isn't the norm in a person's society is not allowed and should only be done privately in a person's home. May Allah bless you ❤️❤️
