AWESOME VIDEO! Loved the pacing. Was really easy to follow. Shame about the sales, but with Halloween only a few days away, it makes sense. Most people's parties are on Sat night, so you probably had even less time than you originally thought.

True! Shot myself in the foot really with the timings. But, like you said, I probably would've got better results making designs based around a short-term trend to get started

I am doing dropshipping as a side hustle (started with almost nothing), and it's paying off last few months. AI tools help me so much (mainly chatgpt, but I am trying to incorporate others as well). Now after few months I have really good income from it that I have already quit my regular job xD. Consistency and hard work will always pay off at the end (with a little bit of winnerzila of course).

I don't think a lot of people want to buy seasonal merch, since you can only wear it a certain time of the year. Maybe a hobby or fanbase related merch would do better.

Absolutely! Shimmy, a print-on-demand expert, says in the video call at the end of the video that seasonal isn't the way to go for a beginner but that I probably would've done better going for a short-term trend

It's a good observation, I admit i never buy seasonal stuff, even xmas jumpers don't appeal to me just because they only serve a role for a few weeks of the year, just like Halloween really only works for maybe a week or so (a few days each side). Of course people can wear it whenever they please but I imagine 90% of people only will want it for that time period making it a big investment for a short period. Trendy stuff or just goofy timeless hobby based stuff probably would work (we all probably seen the "Game over" and "x lives" gamer shirts which still sell.

Also Halloween isn't in a specific niesche. I don't know what kind of people woukd buy a Halloween shirt with a pumpkin

Then I think you'll like this: In January 2024, I'm changing my channel to be where I'll have a cash balance on-screen in every video, beginning at zero, and each video will build on the cash balance achieved in the previous video. My living costs will be deducted from the balance each month too so it'll be realistic - not only possible in RU-vid land. I'll only try side hustles that I think have a good chance of working. And I'll be able to keep going until I make money, unlike now where I have to move on to a new side hustle to get another video out. So, me attempts at making money will be much longer/on-going

I think a big part of this was also the website, if it seems shady/low effort people will run from you like the plague.

I think you're right - if I saw that blank freakin page with only 3 sweatshirts on it, I would avoid it completely. Doesn't seem like a legit business.

would love to see you make another of these videos with a diffrent item? or maybe a tweaked version that you could run for say 1-2 months iv heard people sometimes make BANK off of these dropshipping products and i think you just need to test the limits if you could! great vid hope to see more like it

Like with any business, if you want it to succeed, it needs as much time as you can give it. There isn't a fixed number of hours

I tried drop shipping t shirts about a tear and a half ago. Got nowhere with any of them. Tried it with amazon merch too and nothing happened. I sold 1 shirt from amazon merch recently thats been up for over a year snd a half. The royalities were about 45p.
