Its been a thing, to people who collect shoes i look at what you and many others suggesting collectible cards look better creased and smashed. Some shoes arent necessarily made to be broke in. I wouldnt go crazy over it myself, though
I like crease protectors but I draw the line when people use sole shields and literal trash bags to not mess up there shoes at that point just buy some reps and use them like they were intended

That’s not true. Shoe trees keep the toe box in shape while Crease protectors like the name suggests protects from creases from happening all together. Crease protectors don't make your toebox crease-proof. All it does is prevent the toebox from being all creased at the front. Your shoe still bends when you walk unless you walk like a penguin.
Yeah I mean personally as someone who doesn't own expensive shoes or collects shoes what is the point of buying shoes where you can't even wear them or walk normally in to avoid creasing yk?
I wore crease protectors for like 3 months in a pair of jordan 1s and the shoe bends completly fine it just didn't crease that much. I took them out tho because i want them to crease now

With my 4’s and any higher price shoe I own 1.) i WEAR the shoe 2.) I keep the boxes for storage with all the package paper etc 3.) to keep the toe box from collapsing or creases from just sitting in I keep or make paper stuffing for the inside of the shoe like in the store; look I’m all about keeping your shoes fresh and fly but if you’re not re-selling or investing in a ULTRA RARE high ticket item. Do us all a favor either wear your shoes or leave them in the store for someone who will
Ngl I don’t care if my shoes crease, it’s just if they crease in the wrong spot and pinch or if the crease isn’t the same on both shoes. I just avoid leather or pleather shoes now and get fabric instead. Yet to have my vans crease after 3 years lol
keep it real with yall i used to wear crease protectors when i was like 12 bro and nowaday it dont matter fr unless they suede cuz it just uncomfy and dont rly do much in the long run
damn i bought crease protectors at the beginning of this school year of of amazon and they are amazing i still have em in my shoes and even tho i don’t wear the shoes anymore they’re still not creased
Just walk like you march in a band but don't raise your foot in the front too much. Learnt this technique in the band at school and it totally works for avoiding creases in my expensive shoes.
As a sneaker head I honestly don’t really believe in crease protectors. Last year I got new Js for my bday and so did my friend. We both wore them everyday but he had crease protectors and I didn’t but mine never got ruined. That’s also just one of my experiences.
I like crease protectors, they don’t prevent all creases, but they keep my shoes looking good enough. I put them in marching shoes rather than sneakers, though.
When I got crep guard instead of keeping the sides where it goes on the side of your feet I cut them off and it’s way more comfortable without the sides and it still works perfectly fine
When I was a teenager I made stuff like this out of cardboard and duct tape or kept the cardboard that came with some shoes and taped them up so they last a while
I’ve had my split black and white air forces for about a year, with the crep protect, using em as normal wear. And they still got no creases. Still look new out the box. Only thing I didn’t do was put some sole protectors. Now I got no grip but they still look fresh 😂😂
I would buy any cheap crease protector as I use to use that shoe cardboard that is inside the shoe when you get it out of the box. so any cheap crease protector I see I would use even if it’s cheap
My first pair of air forces that were protected by creps from china and you probably know what happens to the af1s yeah they didn’t hold up so much there was dents creases everywhere it was terrible

The crep guards make my white socks a bit yellow on the front, I can‘t get in easy and can‘t get out without it coming with me It‘s Ass (at least on jordan 4s)
I bought crease protectors from Shein for 2$ or something, best investment of my life. I’ve had my AF1s for a year or more and they haven’t creased at all.
