That last dessert alredy existed in Spain. They are called "Torrijas". It is basically the same procedure: You marinate the loaf bread in milk, then you cover it with eggs, and finally you batter it with cinnamon and sugar before frying it. It is usually eaten in easter season. IT IS DELICIOUS!
