There is literally nothing wrong with the milk Taz. It's the cream that has settled to the top because it's higher in fat than the "regular" milk. Next time just keep your hand on the cap and shake the ever-loving-stuffing out of the bottle to mix the cream and milk together. Alternatively, if you're not a fan of cream you can simply scoop the cream out with a tea-spoon however that kind of does defeat the purpose of the whole milk.
@@thequeerbee2026 When you grow up in a family or community that doesn't use a variety of dairy products regularly then it's quite easy being an adult who doesn't know about non-homogenised milk. Taz is young, she has said many times that animal milk isn't her favourite thing, and perhaps she's simply never come across whole milk before. I don't fault her for that at all, life is all about learning, trying new things, and paving your own path. If I were her Taz I'd look for sheep milk. It contains significantly more calcium than cow's or goat milk, it also contains significant levels of iron, magnesium, zinc, thiamin, riboflavin, vitamin B6, B12, D, and essential amino acids. The texture is also not as thick and thus doesn't feel unpleasant, it's lower in unwanted fats, and doesn't contain A1 protein so it doesn't play havoc on peoples digestive system. It can cost more than cows milk because it's often done in small batches, but it's better for you and the environment than many nut and grain "milk" alternatives.
You say that but something odd happened to my milk a few weeks ago. It turned to like jelly and it wasn't off but it was unusable. Never have I seen that in my while 31 years of living before it was definitely not the cream.
@@ju.d If that's the case then I would suggest that you contact the manufacturer and if you still have the empty bottle or the receipt giving them the information. The only reason for milk to completely solidify is if there is an issue with that particular batch of product. Even high cream whole milk doesn't solidify into jelly unless there is something added to the product that shouldn't be there such as a thickening agent, or if alternatively there could be an issue with the manufacturers heating process. The dairy industry is generally pretty well regulated and legislated in most western countries (not all), so if there's was an issue as you said, then you should contact the manufacturer and/or the store you purchased it from.
if the milk doesn't smell off that is ok. want know what "that stuff on top" is? fat. AKA cream. the stuff you later consume as whipped cream. if you don't like the consistence, just shake the bottle and it will dissolve back into the milk. i am not making fun of you, i just realize that really, there should be some kind of food/cooking class in schools because i bet there are a lot of ppl who don't know that
@@isabel453 Well it could be spoiled even if the bottle is closed. But you can figure it out quite easy at the container itself. If the container is "bloated" chances are very high, that it is spoiled. The same applies to other dairy products such as yogurt and cream cheese, where the lid bulges, for example. The reason: When germs multiply, they form gases that ensure that the packaging bulges outwards
@@isabel453 yes since the milk we usually buy nowadays is highly processed. Than it could happen if it is to old or if it wasn't cooled properly the whole time
Nicole we used to buy green top milk, but since my grandads doctors advised him to drink blue top due to cancer to get his weight back up we’ve been living off that and I can honestly taste no difference
I get that the message is „most expensive doesn’t equal better“ but the price includes a lot of different things: is it organic, is it less processed, is it ethically made, is it without palm oil, is the packaging less wasteful, are the ingredients healthier, is it made with a lot of effort or more expensive ingredients like gluten-free food often is,...? Yes, sometimes the price is ridiculous, yes sometimes you’re just paying for the name of the brand and yes not everyone can afford that! But this video gives off the impression, that it’s just about the taste and as it doesn’t always taste perfect, the cheaper option is better. I am not saying to buy expensive things if they don’t taste good to you, I‘m just saying that you might think about more factors than that, especially if you have the means to do it. This doesn’t come from a hateful place, I really love Taz and her personality, I just think that a lot of her viewers will not think further, because she is not addressing it.
@@veyabalingit4789 I was looking for someone addressing it, but as I couldn't find anybody, I wrote a comment, although I don't usually do that. But I'm glad I'm not alone haha
I agree with your points but I think for the purpose of this video she was mostly judging what she bought by its taste not if it was organic, or less processed.
Fun fact! 7:22 it’s pronounced ‘macaron’, not ‘macaroon’ And YES there is a difference: ‘Macaroon’ is a cookie with shredded coconut which is often dipped in chocolate ‘Macaron’ is a French cookie made up of two round cookies sandwiching a filling or ganache (this is what Taz was tasting) No hate ily Taz 🥺❤️
I’ll never get over how cheap food is in the UK, even considering the exchange rate. Each time an item was introduced, I guessed the price, and it was at least double. In California our “bougie” market would be Whole Foods or Gelsons, and the granola would have been $18, the vitamin shot 3.95, the fish dinner and pizza at least $12
I wonder if that's because of the quality? Our food standards are higher so there is a lot of competition while it might be more niche there and thus more expensive
That's 14 AUD!And Australia pays higher than UK,but things are more expensive in Australia, meaning that could be like 20-26 AUD for you if we were going off of that!
Yeah, a lot of alt-milks even come in shelf-stable (until you open it) boxes so if your big issue with dairy milk is that it goes off before you finish it, that might be a benefit as well. Or you can have just oats in your pantry and whizz up some oatmilk in the blender as you want it...
I hope this girl didn’t throw that perfectly good milk away cause that would’ve outrageous. All it takes 5 seconds to do some research-_- to know what it is
No reason to get upset with her. She was already afraid of milk-if you’ve seen her previous videos where she cooks she is afraid of getting food borne illnesses. You also have to admit that you can’t always trust the internet, especially on matters of your health.
@Alessia N Because that’s the point of the video buying the most expensive foods so the most expensive thing in Waitrose is whole milk so she bought it, also you can’t always trust the internet for your health
I wonder if the reason you didn't like these things was more to do with you not liking them in the first place so therefore it doesn't taste all that different to you? Reusable packaging is definitely a big bonus though! I'd like to see a version where you do the expensive version of what you'd normally buy! Or other fancy ready meals!
@@hermithillfarm1123 macaroon and macaron are pronounced differently because they are literally different words. i wasn't trying to shame her or anything. just pointing something out.
Honestly I thought this challenge was kind of pointless.. Why would you spend the most money on stuff you don’t even like? If it were me I’d have got the most expensive breakfast waffles/pancakes and syrup, then you could’ve got some posh pasta and sauce or chilli - stuff that you usually have. You don’t like milk but you bought milk and you don’t like fish pie but you bought fish pie... so you were never going to like them whatever price they cost. Just doesn’t make any sense 🤯 🤷♂️
I've only watched a few of these videos and I've noticed she does that a lot - "I bought this cheese quiche"... "I don't like cheese" I don't think I'll bother subscribing, just gets annoying.
A person who used to live in Pakistan closed to 50c temperature and now reside in London believe me it is so so hot. They don’t have proper fans forget air conditioning and the tiny brick houses add humidity to it 🥵
Taz: *I love how so far the perk Isn't the food item It's the packaging. I get a jar and a tin so I guess that's we're winning some way* Yeah Taz.That's how asian mothers use these after eating the food inside.I have a tin jar where my asian mother keeps thread and needle. That tin jar used be a biscuit tin.
So we’re not going to comment on how Taz looks like an absolute Diva in that satin shirt with that make up 🤤 .... Yeah...that high pitched noise! 😣😣😣😣 I got a headache. I didn’t want to stop watching
Toniiamanda H, I never said it was English lmao, it’s just a really popular and in my opinion extremely underrated, she’s also mentioned it in a few other videos so I expect her to say it here too lol
Did anyone else get an email saying their "It's fine" tie-dye hoodie was cancelled because they couldn't "find stock for your order". I was so sad when I got the email. I was just wondering if this happened to anyone else
In my experience, whenever I go to M&S (most expensive food store here) for a meal deal the people that regularly shop there have always acted so rude? Im not saying that every regular shopper there is rude at all, just that I have had a lot of the customers be rude to me. For example, pushing past, bumping into me and not saying anything, trying to bunk the queue 😂 its as if they act entitled bc they can afford to shop there? Im a student and regularly shop at Aldi, and I can eat very well from there. I be having veggies, staple foods and meat for very cheap and it all tastes great. In short, don’t knock Aldi. Its a great shop with very tasty and healthy food ^^
iibxnni it’s just that I’m a french native speaker (macarons are known to be french) and it’s sounds weird to me. (I guess that English people also may feel weird if typical English specialties were to be pronounced differently)
Shirin Banu It’s not even very expensive food, her diet is crap so that’s why she isn’t used to it. It has nothing to do with the price. When have we ever seen her eat granola or fish pie? You can get cheap versions of both those items but the girl lives off beans and ramen ffs 😂
To everyone freaking out about her milk, firstly thank you for educating people like me who had no idea what homogenized means 😅. However if you have been watching taz for long you know she doesn't like dairy - taste and texture. So it's understandable when she keeps it aside.
