It's crazy that we now have this amount of tone shaping power in such a tiny pedal. Just 10-12 years back the Kemper head was praised for having so much power in just one amp head, and now there's a micro pedal with almost the same amount of power (except for the capturing itself).
Yep, and TBH I PREFER that the capturing be computer based because then they can update it without the hardware limitation of the current generation of pedal.
@@TaylorDanley I agree. Even back when the Kemper was new I was thinking why the heck doesn't someone create a similar software for PC/Mac. Doesn't matter how powerful they say that the Kemper was/is, it's still much less powerful than even a budget laptop. IK and NAM really made a huge impact in the machine learning amp capturing business.
My first thought of using this is because I run my hx stomp into the return of a valveking..you could just load an awesome amp onto the tonex one and just strap it to the front of your amp and run it into the return and boom you have whatever amp you want for less then $200 bucks
I got my TONEX pedal last week and got most of it nailed down but still browsing videos to see what more I can do with it or can learn. Now I have to get the TONEX ONE. I have to say, I had the PODxt years ago and this TONEX pedal blows all that old sh*t away. Hooked into my effect loop return of my Marshall Tube amp and damn! I think I want the TONEX ONE to get those few effects pedals I cannot afford or would rarely use. $179.00 you cannot beat that with a stick.
I own a boss gt 1000 and a blackstar amped 1 power amp was looking to buy a revv g4 distortion pedal or a tone x one what would be your recommendation. Tank you
Tbh I wouldn't use this for the amp models since I already have the TMP, but I'm curious how well it would work with running it as an OD/Boost in synergy etc
Hey Taylor, really liked the video. Especially the intro! One question though: How the heck do you get the track so loud? IT SLAPS! I just mixed something to -14 LUFS and -0,1 TP (RU-vid specs), but it doesn´t come close to your track!
The Tonex One is cool. However setting the software up was a miserable process. Not only that the software constantly crashes or freezes. It's off my board for now.
I understand that EQ changes I make to a capture while using the pedal will be retained as I switch between A and B or other stored captures, but it won't effect the original capture when I reconnect to the computer will it? Or at least not without an overwrite command?
Hey Taylor. Do you get a kickback for the tone x one. If we order it from the link? You've been really generous and helpful responding to my comments. Let me know so I can pre-order it through your channel.
so i just ordered the tone x one i just want to load the driftwood purple nightmare head to it. does their app connect to it to load it or do i buy the head ir pack ?
You actullay can get what this thing does and more and for a cheaper price(depends on a region though). Mooer prime p2 is much more versatile thing, some people even gig with it using additional footswitch
@@aaronhiggs I get it, but tbh you wouldn't hear the difference even if you're just jamming with a backing track. and I was mostly saying about the functionality.
@@Fartrellcluggins69 200 is a lot for a pile of crap. no need for spending alot of mony on tube amp btw. I paid 200 for my bugera 6262 120 watt high gain tube amp and 150 for the cab its sounding 10 times better. Spend your money smarter and don't follow influencer youtubers who pretend to invented warm water. This pedal doesnt sound better than what boss pedals did 20 years ago, still shit and digital sterile sound
@Jootn2kx it's not at all. I use my ears, not youtubers. I don't get your type. I'm 48 and i embrace new tech. I'll take a poor man's Kemper any day, the tonex. I'm going to sell my boss gt6 and pre-order one lol.
