I tried using SOUS VIDE to change the FLAVOR of everything!

Sous Vide Everything

I used sous vide to manipulate the flavor of everything you see! This experiment is awesome if it works but the only true way to find out is to do it. So, I did. Change the flavor or a tomato to taste like something else is definitely something you should try and other things too.

that shit is too labor intensive to cook man... all of the freshly grounded paste of spices have to be deep fried in oil barely enough to cover it under the tiniest amount of heat your stove can produce for almost an hour while constantly stirring just to get those spices start... then after it's done you need to add tons of coconut milk and meat, put it up into a boil, then stir it for HOURS at the same low level of heat as before until the entire pot of liquid disappears without the fat from the coconut milk separating... I tried it, it was a disaster, so I just bought some packs of ready to eat rendang online from overseas and call it a day. It's an impossible level of difficulty and hassle it's not worth it at all.

@Vanness Tan good luck for that, perhaps it could work, but I just can't get over how frustrated I was when my entire batch of rendang turned into a greasy mess that looks like I burnt some dirt under a deep fryer...

Thanks Guga !! I now cook Sous Vide almost daily for the last 5 months or so, Love your recipes and suggestions. Now my food is eatable : ) I just ordered a Flame Thrower today, I have had a Searzall for several months, works great can not wait to use the flamethrower. I have a small collection of Dalstrong Knives 8 steak knives and about 15 others. Not as big of a collection as you have. (They are awesome knives !!!) also I have now 6 Anova Circulators and 6 Tanks 3 sizes. The Sous Vide is great, I will cook for myself 5 or so steaks and refrigerate the extras then reheat the next day in the small Sous Vide tank Oh it is awesome. I have taken Sous Vide cooked frozen steaks direct from the freezer and put into the sous vide to reheat then sear oh still great. I am convinced this makes a great steak even better. Rib Roast has to be one of my favorites ! what am I saying they all are good. I forgot to mention I get text Messages from a Mike at Dalstrong and mentioned you promoting their knives, He said you are an amazing person.

Hey Guga, please make a video testing a regular vacuum sealer and sealing liquids. Most of us beginners do not have vacuum chambers and probably never will. There are some methods around like putting a paper towel near the top of your bag or freezing liquids first. Please test this.

If you don't like the bitterness of beer, you can cook out more of the alcohol by leaving it to boil for 10-15 minutes. This gives your beer reduction more of the flavor of fresh-baked bread. I use this technique in my Spicy Chi-Mehk (Korean Chicken & Beer) soup, and it's _amazing!_ I highly recommend you try it.
