here in scotland i dont think our roads are good enough for e-scooters lol, i do see a good few rentable e-bikes tho which im all for (as long as you dont ride em in pedestrian areas)
feet together is very bad for safety, ride like a skater so you have more stability if you are right handed left foot forward and ride depending on what side your drive on ride with your body protecting you from people who Might open car doors on you, there is a few things that will save you but feet together you will go face first when you hit something and flip over more easily!, one foot in front of the other and lean back slightly with knees slight bent not locked so as to protect your knees and strengthen your core.
The idea of someone throwing a car door in my face is terrifying. When driving over bumps I did bend the knees and brace for the impact haha. I'll adjust during my next ride, thanks! 🙏
THIS! Very good piece of advice, I would also add to keep your balance on the palm of your feet (so your heels don't touch the scooter) as it dampens the impact of uneven surfaces - kinda like suspension forks in a bike - so you don't hurt your spine or back when part of the road gets rough.

@@DENADAGRACIA yeah, it’s the same throughout my country. I don’t understand because we have mandatory helmet laws in some states here for motorcycles, but not scooters? We have mandatory seatbelt laws for safety. Let’s be consistent in our laws.
