Today we're back with Derail Valley Simulator for an epic race against Hyce! Since there is no multiplayer in Derail Valley we decided to get similar jobs in sandbox mode and see who could deliver the cargo the fastest in the 0-6-0 steam locomotive!

This worked really really well with you too taking pains to _not_ cut out bits of the race. Syncing, to see both of you simultaneously in a side by side vid was fantastic!

I don't know how, maybe if you record discord separately so that you can both use the same recording, but it would be sweet if you could get the chat in sync.

Advantage of having 2 monitors: I watched them side by side with Hyce's audio, and kAN's vid muted, re watching only kAN's, the explosion is insanely unexpected

Hyce set you up for failure. You said "I need to open TWO vaults in the front, right?" Hyce said "Yes", as he was turning his lubricator on. REMATCH!!!!!

I mean, he wasn't wrong. You only need to open two valves, the dynamo is technically optional. The only thing wrong with what he said is not clarifying WHICH valves are required and where they are.

When I heard “Smells like Kenosha” playing on Hyce’s video, I was pretty sure he was going to derail… until I saw the big curve with a higher limit than he was going, so I was so confused… until I heard you say “it blew up”… so now I just have to see it happen! I’m no good at syncing, though. Love the steam train content! I’m sorry it hasn’t done too well for you though. :( It’s how I found you originally, haha.

Race idea: Shunting/ Dutch drop racing. Three or four shunt jobs. They don't need to really all be in the same save, or all at the same time, but do a best x of y series. Find a couple shunt jobs that are similar enough across different yards. Maybe even do a points system, instead of the best x of y. Dutch drop with each loco, DE / DH / Steam etc, assign points to each.

So it took me like five minutes to sync both videos up good enough that the vocal delays weren't giving me too bad a headache, and just as I sit back to enjoy the action, youtube gives me an ad, and throws all that work out the window... THREE TIMES 😡 Great video guys, thanks.

I like it kAN that you always worry about the thing you're doing. I'm really similar in that myself, always with the anxiety, am I doing it right, how things will turn out, is that decision okay etc. We might be neurotic, yes, but I also think that it's related to empathy, or immersion, into what we're actually doing. How it is doing is PERSONAL. I really like that about your streams, you seem to give a genuine damn. Thank you for the good time.

In steamer you need to pay way more attention to the water than to the coal. Nevertheless you cannot overflow the boiler so you can fully open the injector and forget about it because it will not waste a single drop of water nor affect the engine performance.

the reason why the "brake Shoes" on the locomotive were glowing orange is Because when the freight train was approaching the steel mill Kan Applied the Independent Brake !! Instead of the Automatic Brake !! This should have been a red flag!! And if You look at the Speedometer it showed that the Independent Brake was barely able to slow down the train as the freight train was approaching the steel mill if He Applied the Automatic Brake the Brake Shoes wouldn't have been glowing !! They were only glowing Because He Applied the Independent Brake which were destroying the brake Shoes !!

Argon is a inert gas, so yes technically it wouldn't explode if you crashed. Argon displaces oxygen because it's heavier. So you wouldn't want to be in a confined space with an argon leak or say a town in a valley and have 5 cars of argon spill out and asphyxiate everyone.

Argon is heavier than air and will displace the oxygen from the area. So you will smother anything living in the area.

This episode was hard to watch. The part where you guys talked about the brake system i did not get it at all what that second sprung lever does. Partially cuz i dont know steam trains but mostly because of the volume. Took the usual educational part oit which are present with hyce

@scottyscott9965 Argon is inert and a noble gas, just like oxygen and nitrogen in the air we breath. Oxygen can also suffocate people, along with nitrogen, the three make up the air we breath. Are you scared yet?

This happened because He Applied the Independent Brake and not the Automatic Brake when the train was approaching the steel mill which is why the Brake Shoes were glowing!!
