I am a retired Mechanical and Electrical Research Engineer with a PhD from MIT, with 50 years professional and teaching experience, and lots of hands on practical experience in machining etc with a machine shop at home to boot! But, in 50 years of R&D I have never done anything as INNOVATIVE as this 2 stroke 3 dual-cylinder (one compression and one power) as this person has done! This man is a genius! This very practical innovation brings together everything we know about internal combustion engines to create something entirely novel with ordinary tools! AMAZING indeed! My hat off to you sir!

I don't know where this man is from. I assume he's in India, regardless he needs to show this video to a dean at one of the major Universities, Technical College, Ministry of Education or any one of he major engineering companies in his area. Anyone with the slightest grain of intelligence would recognize the genius qualities this man possess. The possibilities of designing and building future projects appear to be limitless if given the opportunity to develop his skills. All he requires is the support of his Government, educational institution, or major engineering company. This is a golden opportunity for his country to take this man under their wing and with further technical training in university or on the job I truly believe the potential to develop great ideas are limitless. I pent more than 50 years teaching apprentices, mechanics, mechanical maintenance programs in both developed and developing countries. I've watched 100's of similar RU-vid videos and was impressed by many of them however this one stands out above them all deserving golden award. Young man, whoever you are you have what it takes to make you dreams come true ( just look at the at all of the positive comments you got on this video) that alone should tall you something. I finally figured out that this engine design is called a revolving cylinder, axial piston engine, for all those wondering.. I guess technically it would be described as a revolving cam, axial piston engine. Very similar to a swashplate axial piston engine, like those used in torpedos, however instead of a swashplate rotating, the whole cam rotates which has peaks and troughs that push the pistons up and down as It rotates. They operate much better at slow rpms as the centrifugal force tends to wear down the engine too quickly when it’s operated at high rpm’s. Which is why they have limited applications and are great for torpedos. Very interesting and impressive engine nonetheless!

This is the dream of a lot of budding mechanics (I know it was mine as a kid, but we were limited to points ignition and metal parts). At the time, all AC compressors were still standard piston, crank, and connecting rod configuration, and the axial compressors didn't come out till later on. I'm glad you included the failure of the first acrylic reed plate, which demonstrates that these projects rarely ever go according to plan the first time around!😁 The second iteration was a much better setup, and I'm surprised it ran as long as it did before it melted the threads on the spark plugs! Well done man!😁👍👍 I really like these little projects that use the most basic of components for proof of concept.😉

exactly what I was thinking, a two stroke thayt didnt sound like one but sounded powerful I think because it had dedicated pistons to force the mixture into the combustion chambers, where as a conventional two stroke has a compromised crank case to do that. So the fuel mixture is 100% completely injected into the power cylindealso notice no need for piston rings as the blow by increases the compressor stage pressure of the supply gasses Thus less friction= more efficiency

Unsurpassed in performance even today. It powered the first diesel locomotives and fast boats in WW2. Look up the Napier Deltic.

Very impressive! First, the model of the engine itself is clever. It actually functions! And the making of it is fun to watch. Second, the video is shot and edited very well. I have seen some comments, especially from the grumpy Russians, complaining that "This engine violates all the principles of good engineering; It will not work more than a few minutes; Engine out of Plexiglas? This guy is wasting his time" -- but such comments entirely miss the point. This is not a project to buid a practical engine. It is a project to show something *cool* on RU-vid. I do not know how much 100,000 views a day are worth, but they probably do bring some income through advertising tie-ins etc. For a young guy in a village in the middle of nowhere this is probably far from negligible, comparing to the $20 a day that he probably earns from his regular job. Kudos for creativity!

I wonder if it would be possible to run both sides of the pistons and run it as a 6 cylinder instead of 3? I know there would be many issues with this but it would greatly increase the torque though that in itself may be a big issue due to such a thin walled block/cyl walls. Anyway this is absolutely an amazing project you have done very very creative.
