The fringe treatment on the optic fiber is excellent - made me think of jellyfish! - and the translucent spots really worked out as well 🤩 You always add a layer of creativity I wouldn't have thought of, so inspiring ❤️
Reusing the fiber optic cape for a jelly fish project would be so cool ! Instead of the red wool mushroom one, it could be a shiny blue/white organza fabric for the translucent effect and with hanging curly strands of mousseline ! 😍
The fringe!!! It's a game changer, made that cute but stiff cape look way less plastic and all the movement add so much to the final result! What an adorable design, love that you mix techniques so much. Always learn new things!
This was so fun to watch. Not only did your project turn out amazing and lovely, but also the editing made it so entertaining. I love how organic the hood turned out. Favorite part was the montage, it was so fun.
Love how you incorporate incredibly time consuming processes to create exactly the desired effect. Also appreciate your use of existing materials rather than just buying new supplies each time.
Absolutely gorgeous work 😍 Just an fyi in case there are other wool-allergy sufferers here, you can needle felt acrylic and even make your own roving from acrylic yarn 😁 I dislike using plastic, but I don't want to be covered in hives so 🤷♀️
I love the little touches like the lights shining through the lace spots. I think it came out the perfect length too with the fringing, it stopped the fibreoptic fabric looking stiff and shapeless. The felting worked perfectly too for that organic look (years ago for college I made a autumn themed outfit with a corset out of hand felted wool and lots of felted leaves sewn onto a long skirt so your project reminded me how much I love felting!) Really great job!
The way you used felting for the colors and to bind the lace was absolutely genius! It turned out beautifully, I love how the spots look when illuminated. The wool gives the whole thing a lovely weight as well. Super cute piece, you did a great job as always!
This turned out so cute! I do love when you reflect on the process-what you liked/disliked/learned from it, that’s something I would have loved at the end of this video! Eved if you already did it for the glowing fabric. 🍄
LOVED the project!! looks like something that Rachel Maksy would do, bc of all dedication and creativity!! (now I'm here wandering if you guys are already friends)
It looks amazing!! I love the process and the result. I'll add this costume to my wishlist. 😍🍄 Also you could do another mushroom costume with the glowing fabric, I know there are some mushrooms that glow in the dark, it will be amazing.
I love this! So cute and a different take on mushroom Headwear! Love the felting gradient!! Also, the name of the seam binding stitch you're using is called a Fell stitch! So you're hand felling it down. (I learned that from Bernadette!)
I LOVE the felting! felting spots in place seems so obvious and genius! you have inspired me! And the end result is amazing of course! I have seen many mushroom costumes and love them all but this is the one that made me want to attempt it myself. Thank you Ariel! Also, I hadn't realised I'd never heard 'chandelier' pronounced by a French person before, but I love that pronunciation, seems obvious now from what little I know of French that it should be pronounced like that! I've learnt a lot today from this video!
It looks really nice, I´m sure it will get a 1st place at a con or in a halloween contest, Man, If mattel, hasbro or any of them launched a doll collection with this level of quality, I´ll buy it with no doubth. Cheers!
This was such an adorable costume piece! I play a mushroom fae character, and her color scheme is pink, white, green, and brown. I based her off of the wrinkled peach mushroom, and this gave me inspiration for an entire winter/Christmas ensemble for her. Thank is amazing! ♥
Girl your videos have gotten so much better! I've watched almost all of your videos, and can see the progress in every one. At this point I'd argue you're one of the best edited channels out there! I hope you explode soon!!! Edit: In popularity. You know what I mean.
Oh my goodness this turned out so beautiful. I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!! I adore the felting details, both on the bottom of the wool cape and around the layers of lace for the spots. Such a great organic detail that packs such a great pinch of color and texture. I love the effect of the fiber optic cape and the way you trimmed it is so gorgeous. I love that organic edge, it adds so much to the over all shape and natural texture. Even the lights shining through look so much more natural because of the way you cut them. I love this cape and I hope you find occasions to wear it out. It’s extra in the best way.
So FANTASTIC that you've made something that can be cool in the daylight and the dark! Biggest problem with that fiberoptic fabric seems to be that it really is boring most of the time.
The costume is soooo cool and cute !! Maybe do a red felted coat you can pair underneath for a full red riding / mushroom look !! And some more felting techniques would be cool loved the wolf/ fox head mask !! Plus the light up cape would be cool as a snow queen/Elsa look !!
This is so cool and turned out so well that I’m a little sad that the reveal part of the video isn’t longer! Would’ve loved to see the finished piece in closer detail for longer! Awesome result though 😍👏🍄
Ohhh to pretty!! And so much fun! That was a lot of work but it is priceless! You are a very clever woman ;) Thank you for taking us on this journey with you. Hope this finds you and yours happy and healthy ;)
I make crochet handbags and I am about to start on a mushroom bag. I found this video incredibly inspiring. I was going to make my white spots with beads but now I want to use needle felted wool and lace. I use mostly cotton yarn so I'm not sure it will work, but I am going to try. I really look forward to watching your videos. As a handbag maker the heart shaped bag is my favorite video. I know it isn't exclusively your thing but I really wish you would make another purse video. Sending you all the love and blessings in the world. 😘 Can't wait for the next video.
I love this channel. This project is so cute and fun. And watching your editing and production improve with every video is so fun. I have no doubt you’ll be able to do this full time and be very successful.
Such an adorable mushroom, and wonderful use of the LEDs :D Off topic, but out of curiosity, where are you from? I find your enunciation/accent a lot clearer and easy to understand than what is typical in French media I've watched.
