I Turned this Warhammer Librarian into Merlin... 

Space Wizard called Merlin or should I say "There are some that call him.....Tim"

I would love to see a chaos lord model for Mordred, one who was of the chapter but turned to chaos.

A wizard Space Marine is probably the coolest idea I've seen from custom warhammer minis. Well done!

Lancealot and many of the named Knights of the Round Table already have official heraldic designs. Lancealot’s is a white field with 3 diagonal red stripes.

Very nice, i'd recommend using an emperor's champion model + a good chunk of kitbashing for Arthur because it has one of the coolest swords for a space marine.

If you ever wanted to redo the magic barrier I think shaping it like a kite shield would be pretty cool (but like air strike shield from Rise of the Shield Hero for reference). Might be a cool idea

If you do an Arthur model you've GOT to give him a shield, everyone forgets he had a shield. Instead of Mary you could paint a Living Saint on it

Making clear resin clear-> apply a relatively thick coat of clear varnish or more of the clear resin and cure it with an UV flashlight to make the surface of the print smooth, the reason clear resin isnt clear off the printer is because of the surface texture caused by it being built up from voxels (think really small minecraft). all those small surfaces refract the light so it looks cloudy. The varnish or added resin fills those in making it a smooth surface. Love how he turned out :)

iirc the Dark Angels' aesthetic is based around Arthurian legend so bits from them might be useful in this army. Tho the winged sword motifs are pretty much everywhere on their stuff so idk how useful they actually would be.

You get quite a bit of speckling when you use the airbrush, you should try either turning up the pressure, or thinning the paints a bit more, this should help 😊

I feel like a judiciar model can be converted to one of King Arthur's knights, maybe can become the king himself. Really love this channel. Whenever I paint or build models I play your videos for inspiration.

The Horus Heresy Dark Angels models have a lot of really good knights of the round table looking things that a great for kitbashing for this project.

So, while full 40K might be hard, maybe you should set them up into a Kill Team? You would probably need some sort of heavy ranged character to fill the squad to be playable decenty. Also, Kill Team allows you to have small teams of really customized characters, and your chapter theme really fits the bill.

Now i really want to see some Chaos Knights of Ni 😆

man, I certainly didn't look this cool when I worked in a library! I love that I learn something new in every single video. I've always based my yellows on just white, and pink is something I never would have thought of! Whenever there's an upload here, it makes me want to drop everything and paint!

Lil Tipp for sculpting hair: build it up slowly, use a hard sculpting tool (I prefer a dull thicc metal Blade) to carve the strands of hair, then use a sharp thin blade to sculpt lines into the strands. Good thing you can repeat that process forever and eventually it looks good!

really cool Knight bits with arthurian stuff would be cool. Like chest new chest plates, shoulders, kneepads and so on

There was something I always wanted to see and perhapses this will bring your love for chaos and this new band of chapter together. A army made of primaris if they had fallen to chaos.

The idea of combining the over-the-top space magic of Warhammer 40K with the classical ideas of nights it doesn't seem like they'd mix at first but the more you think about it the better it gets.

The great part of this army series would be challenging yourself to take existing character models and see what knight from Arthurian lore you could homage them with. I for one am imagining making your ‘Arthur’ from Dante or a ‘Sir Kay the Seneschal’ out of Arjac Rockfist or Tor Garadon.

Another greenstuff tip: the portion where the two colours are sold touching one another is often solid and difficult to integrate, strong recommendation to remove a millimeter or so of that frontier before mixing!

For translucent resins, I print, clean in alcohol and then do a pass with gloss varnish *before* curing, te effect is nice on thin parts (like banners or minis(aka ghosts))

these unique army videos are my favorite ones on the channel. every time a new one comes outive gotta watch a couple times, this one, the sakura tau, jotunn tyranids. these conversions and custom paint schemes are just amazing everytime

Had an idea for a chaos warband that were Arthurian. Basically corrupted by an evil Excalibur. Having a "knights of the round" sort of thing with undivided, Khorne, Nurgle, Tzeentch, and Slaanesh

If you are having trouble with the clear resin, I found I had to print clear minis on very high resolution covered with a high gloss varnish. Not perfect, but gives a pretty good result.

technically, Merlin is not a wizzard but a druid (so no pointy hat and more grass and green) but very nice conversion and really nice idea, he look amazing

Just a little tip for the clear resin, most of the time they will go cloudy after curing, all you need is a very thin layer of UV resin and it will go clear again, dead fast and easy

No Way!! I am also currently working on a knight based chapter. Or rather, designing one, as I don't have the money to buy models. Though my chapter is not solely based on the Arthurian Legend, but the "fairy tale knight" archetype, with many of the characters based off of the Knights of the round table, but also other mythological Knights and Warriors. I think the 1st company will mostly be comprised of the Knights of the round table, though. Mine are called the "Knights of Fable", and are a Salamanders successor chapter. Or at least mostly Salamanders, as they were the result of the Mechanicus trying to fix the Salamanders gene-seed to make it more stable and less prone to mutations (so, possibly from one of the cursed foundings?), so they have kind of a chimeric gene-seed, which is mostly Salamanders, but also a good bit of Imperial Fists (thought they're thematically more fitting for Knights and have, just like the Ultramarines, a more stable gene-seed with about 10% chance of mutation, in comparison to the Salamanders 90% chance), possibly some gene fragments of a few other chapters as well. The Mechanicus was mostly successful, though every now and then a Marine has mutations that show the Salamanders legacy. They have an above average amount of psykers, though only few are fit to become full on librarians, with the most of the chapter being only able to channel their powers to boost their physical capabilities, similar to how you find many legendary Heroes of myth and legend to solve superhuman tasks. Their homeworld is the feudal world of Avalon, where they are kind of a special caste of nobility, being also involved in its politics. In my designing process, I let myself be inspired heavily by the original myth, so the current chapter master wears an image of Saint Celestine on his shield, as a little homage to King Arthur. Likewise, the Chief Librarian is covered in scars and has the remains of a horn above one of his brows, a reminder of his past as a daemonhost (after he was chosen as a potential aspirant, he was abducted by a cult, who intended to turn him into a daemonhost to then infiltrate the chapter. Their plan went sideways, the daemon went loose and killed most of the cult, but even then that young Boy did his damndest to resist its influence. When the Marines arrived, they were so impressed by the Boys resilience, that the then chapter master decided to take the risk to excorzise him and then turn him into a Marine) as a nod to Merlin being a half-incubus in the Arthurian Legend.

Using a hobby blade to make the beard it works better then. Light cuts drawn down and up will make much better hair. Because he used a toothpick it looks more like the model is throwing up. Unfortunately it doesn't seem like we will get close to work put into space bears.

Okay, so, I know you said you wouldn't be updating these too often, but I do have a suggestion: Captain Gawain, of the 9th company. His Company colour is, of course, Green, but it wasn't always so: it used to be an earthen brown, but Gawain defended the honour of his Chapter Master against an insult from a Salamander Lieutenant named Bertilak. They dueled to settle the matter, and Gawain so impressed Bertilak that he swore an oath to be his blood brother. Bertilak later transferred to the Shields of Avalon, becoming Gawains first lieutenant, and in honour of their kinship the 9th company colour was changed to Green.
