I Unboxed the NEW Valkyrie Heirloom!! (24 Awakening Collection Event) 

Hey Kandy, I was lucky enough to do the sound design for this heirloom and really appreciate the shout-out! Been watching your videos for eons, but this will mark my first comment on your channel. Audio (understandably) gets a bit of flak on Apex, so it's really wonderful to hear some praise occasionally haha. The animation and FX teams absolutely slayed it on this heirloom as well which served as an incredibly solid base for the audio design. Keep up the great content as always!

The fact that Kandy spend apex coins to buy that caustic skin instead of using crafting material hurt my soul 😭

Her heirloom reminds me of the staffs on the map origins from black ops 2 & 3 zombies lol

I hate how fuse skins don't change how his ult looks while equipped. They need to have skins change ult weapon looks. Note: if you inspect the heirloom while crouching, you get a animation with vipers helmet. It's not by chance, either, so you can do it anytime!

I agree that the spear was a good choice. Though I think if it looked like a naginata would be neat since that weapon is almost never in video games.

One note, If you crouch and inspect the heirloom you get the viper's helmet and if you run and inspect it you throw the apex pred card

Overall really cool Skins. And that heirloom is just WOW!

I learned their are 4 animations while standing and then a secret one where if you crouch and look at the ground and then inspect it will always pull out viper helmet and has a voice line along with it

Valkrie’s Spear is so awesome! Also the Maggie skin is a definitely a reference to Godzilla and the Fuse skin is a clear reference to King Kong. Loba is Ultraman. This was a Kaiju themed event!

Hey Kandy, dunno if anyone else pointed this out but the reason some of the skins might be odd, especially Loba’s, is because the event is based mainly on Japanese pop culture icons with the main theme of Mechs Vs Monsters. This is seen by some skins like (for example) Loba’s inspired by Ultraman, Maggie’s inspired by Godzilla, Seer’s inspired by(of course) Power Rangers, and Rampart’s inspired by(possibly) Sailor Moon. Some of them are pretty specific designs, but it’s because they have direct inspirations.

At the top of the Handle there is like a white with some black pattern thing. That pattern and the Colors look just like the handle of the katana from michonne in the walking dead

Looked at everything available and honestly only like the Longbow skin and Ash skin. Though the Volt skin packaged with the new Lifeline set is really nice.

As a valk main bro I love the sound an just the overall vibes of it. Good job EA

@Kandyrew I'm not sure if you know but in an event pack you get one event item per pack and it's always in the middle slot so that paths skin was a previous event skin

What I love prowler burst. It's so accurate and not hard to control recoil. I can respect that you don't like it but I didn't expect you to say it

Hey when u inspect the hairloom for valk crouch and it should trigger a rare one I’m not going to say much on it but u will see it’s pretty cool

Heres an heirloom tip for valk. If u crouch then inspect you get another inspection. Not gotta spoil it but for all the titan fall players. This inspect will hold a special place in your heart

Zyuranger was the first appearance of the green ranger. It Also had one of the best super sentai themes

kandy, there is another animation for valk that you can only get if you slide when inspecting it

what happens if you buy a special offer after you've bought all of the event packs? can you even buy a special offer? do you get your apex coins returned like you do with thematic events?

When you got the apex coins from the pack, that happened to another creator I watched live so he had to buy the skin and it was the caustic last bit I watched another live and he didn’t get the coins?

Chappy I got in a normal pack this season actually maybe a couple days ago. Also, the 24th pack gives you enough coins to buy the 25th until you get the final item WTF!?

I think theres an extra special inspection for her heirloom when you crouch

Every heirloom that comes out is just further evidence that respawn needs to revamp the first 5 with new animations and inspects, because the old ones just don't hold a candle content wise to the new ones. They just have so much more to offer.

i think you unlocked 2 or 1 in the normal drops for example normaly we get 2 normal(Left+Right)1 Event(middle) but in ur case its maybe 2 event skins in 1 pack

I think the theme of the skins were supposed to be pacific rim with Kaiju and jeagers type stuff I don't remember for sure

I think the packs were giving you coins just to make the process for actually claiming the heirloom longer because each time you got a total of 700 coins and that’s how much one pack is

there is a inspect were you slide and do it and it shows vipers helmet

the pathy skin was from the unshackled event

I had the exact same last pack bug with the exact same Caustic item

Did you know the kanji next to VLK in one of the inspect animations translates to northstar?

ive got a feeling the ash, hemlok, maggie, and havok skins are a reference to the 2014 Godzilla movie. The hemlok is very similar to one of the monsters just me that sees that?

The path skin (everyone probably knows this already) is from a thematic event

i got the same bug with the same caustic skin left, it cost me 300 coins unfortunately but still this heirloom is sick, im soooo so happy bcs im a valk main hehe, Respawn pls fix.

when i saw the prowler skin my mind instantly went to the power coins from power rangers same with the seer all i saw was mighty morphin green ranger, for lobas skin i see that as ultraman
