I saw them about a year and a half ago, they keep up that energy for about 2 hours. You would think that people with that much talent would let it go to their head. However I met them before the show and they were very cordial. My daughter and I then went to a local eatery to get a pre show meal. We got seated and I looked up from my menu to find out that we were seated next to the band. They were very warm and polite. True story

I like seeing RELEASE THE ARCHERS "Reaction" videos from musicians, because there is more appreciation for what the band is able to do.

They are mostly power metal, but mix in elements from other subgenres too. Brittney writes a story and they make concept albums based on it. The harsh vocals usually represent a different character in the song, at least in their newer stuff. Some of the older stuff has multiple screaming parts with their previous guitarist too. For an older song, try General Of The Dark Army. For something from the most recent album, the title track Abyss.

You said you don't wanna compare Unleash the Archers to anyone else, but Frozen Crown is another female-led power metal band that also has great musicians including a female guitarist that can shred, and a young teenage drummer who is great as well. Their current single is pretty bad ass with some great guitar work. I think you'd love that one as well. And for yet another rabbit hole, try the Swiss band Burning Witches. They're like an all female version of Judas Priest. Traditional Metal by all women dressed in studded black leather. And they're more paganistic in their lyrical themes as the band name might suggest. They're about to release their 5th album, despite only having debuted in 2018. Busy ladies...

Within Temptation spans over a 25-year. And still active therefore there is a lot of metamorphosis. And then there are progressive projects such as AYREON

This is one of those performances that move the state of the art forward. A fusion of speed metal, power metal, 'classical' metal, and a touch of occult metal, with vocal harmonies, double-kick bass drums, duelling guitars, even a mini bass solo, and oh god those crunchy technical metal riffs. Just that touch of "rainbow" harmony on the vocals really fattens it out to compete with the other instruments. I like that she stays in the alto zone, not going high too much, only for the explosive vocal moments, the rest of the time you hear her "real" voice with just a bit of operatic power. It makes the words very clear and melodic and listenable, and contrasts the short harsh moments as special and meaningful. Hearing this gives me an idea of what it would be like if I had super powers, how my body would vibrate with extra-humanly power and my brain would be going faster, at a higher level.

Unleash the Archers do a very good job at finishing a thought musically and bridging the gap to the next. You can tell when a section ends and a new one picks up like the bassist's solo tapping, or the intro riff into the growls, and/or the drum fills. Cleanse the Bloodlines is a good follow up for the same heaviness, Tonight we Ride for the heights, and Abyss for something newer.

Tonight We Ride is one of her best ones to show her power and range. The band rocks again and the video is cool you being from Aus and all.

Yes, Brittney is very good singer, and very nice lady. She is known for interaction with fans, she visit streams and even play some "D & D" role playing games with some of fans! Band have a number of very, very good songs, and you don't mistake if you check any of them! I must ask you to check another Japanese all-female metal band - "Nemophila". They play very heavy, but yet catchy songs... My favorite songs are "Adabana" and "Seize the Faith", but (as you could imagine) all songs by them are very good ones...

My favorite two albums I've ever listened to all the way through in one sitting have been Apex and Abyss. They got me through a period of turmoil, the story of the two albums is amazing. By the end of abyss getting to Wind That Shapes The Land, Carry the Flame, and Afterlife it felt like I had came back to life. These three songs being my favorite 3 tracks to listen to in a row for sure. Haven't heard anybody in a long time that felt like they were emanating so much energy as Unleash the Archers. Probably since Through the Fire and the Flames from Dragonforce for me, as corny as that is lol.

Yes, this is Power Metal with a bit of death metal thrown in with the harsh vocals. But generally speaking, Power Metal is characterized as Speed Metal with a Gallopping beat or rhythm done by either the drums or guitars, with clean, and sometimes high-pitched vocals. Lyrical themes are often based around Fantasy or Sci-Fi elements. Not always, but a good portion of the time anyway. Thrash Metal is different in that the guitar riffs a bit more chuggy, slightly slower, and don't have that gallop sound. You'll know it when you hear it. Thrash vocals can range from loud clean screams to throaty or scratchy deeper vocals. Traditional Metal (or just Heavy Metal) is Metal that doesn't really fit into either of those two genres above, but isn't Death Metal or any of the other types of slower types like Doom, or Groove Metal. Groove Metal is kinda hard to define as it's just got melodies that you can Groove to, ya know? I know you're not supposed to use the same word within its own definition, but I think you get what I mean. Pantera has been defined as Groove Metal a bit. But when you look into it, they became more of a Metalcore band. Which explains their Fandom with 90s kids.

Great reation! They are a great band. Now if you haven't heard of Kobra and the Lotus, another Canadian band, you should give them a go. Kabra is the lady fronting the band. She has an amazing voice. They are power metal, also. Try either Velvet roses, Trgger pulse or You don't know.

Id say this is power metal. But I think it would also qualify as Speed Metal... Power and Speed metal is basically the style, you could play the exact same song twice, once going 11 on power, 8 on speed, the other time 11 on speed, 8 on power. And you wouldve payed one Power metal song and one Speed metal song... This is a bit trickier cuz its like the went 9.5 on both speed and power. Gun to the head I would probably place it in Power as the actual power *_really_* shines through. But it is very fakking *_fast_* power metal.

Nightwish and bloodywood are a couple other bands you may enjoy.
