Checkout the specialized site often, they tend to have lots of special sales on their tires.

I’ve tried the Butcher T9 Trail in 2.6, Butcher 2.3 T9 (gravity), Butcher T7 2.3. Like the softer feeling rubber on the T9, versus the T7. Mixed following of Spesh tyres here in the UK. I am a die hard Maxxis fan, but honestly impressed by the Spesh tyres I am running on my Stumpjumper. Will continue riding on them for a while yet and they seem much better value than Maxxis now.

I love Specialized tyres, they perform well and last longer than other brands I've run.

I especially liked the "boss level" music when you were cleaning that rock climb. Production value!

Always look forward to your videos Matty! I have a T7 that I love, but I've always been interested in the value that the D6 brings to the table. Keep up the great content!

Matty btw, idk if you looked at it but when you were saying the roscoe 9 wasn’t shifting as nice… you need to make sure the clutch is switched on and also, there is a screw on the derailleur that adjusts the position of it

No wonder. The Butcher T9 do target the Schwalbe Magic Mary and the MAXXIS Assegai. Also the 2.6 has bigger contact patch than the 2.4

Hello. Going on my. 5th butcher in the front. The Eliminator in the rear , is the best combo. I ran the purgatory in the rear, too slow. Specialized tires are awesome. Even thou it says 2 .6 , it's actually 2.46". Rock and roll. ....

Is your rear tire also a 2.6? Or is it a 2.3/2.4

Nice. I run maxxis more because I trust it more but maybe I will give those tires a chance 💯

I was hesitant to try something different but they surprised me. I still run Maxxis on my Marlin 6 though.

Better tyre over all much lighter & better value! T7 rear & t9 front for defo much better in wet terrains! Traction depend on weather & which T number to choose!

Specialized move the Mountain Bike only tire manufacturing to a plant in Viet Nam to have more control, they have new compounds too, they still have gripton compound. T9 is the softest, T5 is the hardest they make.. makes ya wonder what they want to control, whatever it is the new compounds are great, they also have new tread patterns..

Are you running the 2.6 on the stock rims? I just picked up a D6 on a killer sale and it had 24mm rims. According to the tables it maxes out at the 2.4. let us know how the tubless set up goes!

I might have hit a bad batch of rubber but I had two different 2.6 T9 29er butchers have splitting of the tread blocks before I'd even worn the fuzzies off of the tire. I am still planning to try a 27.5 2.6 T9 on my other bike. If it also has premature tread splitting I will definitely be complaining directly to specialized.
@MattyActive
@MattyActive Год назад
I’ll definitely keep a look out for that. A lot of my trails are rough so I’ll find out really quick if they can’t hold up
@mybadvideos

@@MattyActive it was within the first 10 rides on both tires. For me that was within 2 weeks or so.

My 2 cents... I've run Butchers and they're aggressive and grip... but their life is trash. Knobs start to break off fairly quickly. Check out Maxxis Assegai.

I’m surprised you’re not washing out with such a high psi. I (175lbs) run a 20psi in the rear and 18psi in the front for my 2.6 maxxis and even that is borderline high for me

Bro it’s because he has tubes in his tires, he said it like 5 times, running that low of pressure with tubes in will definitely get you flats no question.
