Healthy living brother here is showing us what he uses as shampoo and giving us advice on what to use and what not to use. Video credit = coastbrah on insta
Lol i know people are laughing but this is actually an old folk recipe in South Asian villages. You mix egg yolk and a little bit of Yogurt and slap it on your head. Apparently the egg is good for hair health/luster and the yogurt acts like anti-dandruff. You are supposed to use it once a week or so. It smells really bad so you use it and let it sit for an hour or three and then take a shower. Cant comment on whether it works or not lol My grandmother used to mix the recipe up for me when i was a kid
It works, but you keep it for 30 mins to an hour. Then shampoo the hair like normal. I have tried it once but could not stand the smell till it was in my hair. The shampoo gets rid of the smell but I noped out of it
yeah as a kid, my mom at times washed us with egg and mayo... We were poor, I'm not sure if we didn't have soap or if she just thought it was better. No idea. I'm not interested in it but A LOT OF PEOPLE have done this.
This guy is not totally wrong. When I was a child (1980s) you could buy shampoo with egg in the supermarket. And nowadays there are still beauty tipps in Women's magazines about using egg for your hair. But in these recipes for home remedies they usually mix the egg with some other ingredients. And it works more like a conditioner not like a shampoo.
Just don't use shampoo problem solved. The stuff in shampoo destroys your hair and scalp. A year off shampoo and my hair is odorless. It started out a little rough and I had to ease off of the stuff but when all was said and done its only slightly greasier then when I used shampoo every single day and that doesn't bother me any. Who else do I have to impress?
@@allistertheeldritchmemegod3537 not everyone is the same. some people can live without shampoo at all, but some people who have dandruff or get really greasy will need shampoo and conditioner
This is true, research from Google and you'll see: Take one whole egg. Whisk in a bowl. Take it into the shower with you. Rinse hair with luke warm/ cold water. Hold bowl close to your head and just sort of slop it on, massaging in to the ends and the roots. Leave for 3 minutes and then wash out thoroughly with water as cold as you can handle it.
It's used a conditioning hair treatment but only the egg white and then washed out using beer. But they recommend washing with regular shampoo following the treatment.
To be fair the guy is not wrong, people have been using egg yoke to nourish their hair and skin for centuries. Egg yoke also does not contain any of the toxic chemicals found in shampoos and you will not smell of eggs, you wash it out when you're done, unlike shampoo it does not have artificial perfumes added so the organic smell does not linger.

Actually its true. I do it as well before coming across this video. For those who says its smells, its only if you use a bad egg or an egg from a chicken who doesn't eat properly and full of man made poisons. All in all its beneficial.
I usually agree with Max but this video jurt shows how ignorant and how much of a follower people are while doing very little research. Before i decided to join the sheep, i actually had a mind of my own and went out of my way to see if eggs can really work as shampoo and turns out the guy is on to something. Im not saying its for everyone because everyone's hair is different but it may work for some
@@allashuwa_ well you point out the bad thing, it's not for everyone. at least with shampoo, the company have their own method with full medical research published to make the product as safe as possible. not saying traditional is bad, but I don't think we can compare traditional with latest high tech
@@hakimapg seeing how rearchs are now a days with company stake holders influencing the result of research by some face on paper powe, it's getting harder to trust.
tbh, this one might not be delulu. i mean an egg has all the required amino-acids, vitamins and minerals for a chick to form in it. including its feathers. now i am not a dermatologist, so i have no clue on how it works on human skin. but i don't think it's too harmful if it's fresh and you make sure you take a second shower and make sure to clean it off afterwards. i think bady is trolling us again.
I had a neighbor that would do egg treatments to her and her daughter’s hair like once a week. It does work but they did it like a deep conditioner kind of way not as a shampoo like this guy.
Problem is, with the inflation, egg prices have gone up. So popping one per hair wash is extremely expensive and may need more for women with very long and coarse thick hair. Unless you have a farm/big yard in the country, and you rear your own chickens. But then there's the smell
He is showering outside, he's going to have to put a refrigerator in that shower or maybe get a chicken coop and put it in the shower. It's outside anyway 😂

Lathering your scalp/hair with egg is pretty legit way since it contains enough biotin that our hair needs to maintain a healthy scalp, but he seems to be going about it the wrong way especially when he mentions how you should use egg to wash your hair rather than use it as a conditioner.
Actually, we have been doing this for decades in Jamaica 🇯🇲. We mix egg with natural aloe vera and use it to treat our hair. Very good remedy for moisturized, strong and healthy hair. 🎉
Egg actually cleans really well. Just use COLD water because any heat and the egg starts to cook, which is much harder to rinse out. Also don't use on the regular if you have protein sensitive hair. You can over-protein!
I haven’t used shampoo or any other product in my hair in almost twenty years and people are always asking me what I do to make my hair look so good. It’s just my own all natural oils that my body secretes. It’s amazing how healthy your hair can be when you don’t damage it with harsh chemicals all the time. Same thing with hands. I never use hand soap and my hands have never been dry in my life.
Okay the guy is actually not wrong. It's a legit thing. I usually agree with Max but i don't think he did research. What this guy is saying is part of those natural Asian ingredients. You use the egg after conditioning. Leave it on your hair after like 20-30 minutes then wash it off. Don't worry your hair won't smell. It only smells if you use bad/rotten egg. It actually makes the hair a little bit silkier and smoother, enhances hair growth by reducing breakage. Mixing it with yoghurt works too. If you don't want to use egg, rice water works too. It makes your hair thicker and does pretty much the same thing plus it's used more. These are very very good for the hair because they contain protein which is good for hair. Depending on your hair, be careful how often you do it because too much can actually break your hair or make it look dry so 1-2 times a week is usually recommended. I use it and it works.
“Bro 🫡 r u delulu?😵💫u want me to put egg 🥚 on my head 👩🦲and stand there 🧍like u in the sun ☀️ for 5 minutes ⏰so that the egg 🥚 can turn into omelet 🍳 on my head? 👩🦲”
Bro are you delulu? you want me to put egg on my head and stand there like you in the sun for 5 minutes so that the egg can turn into an omelette on my head ? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Actually people DID do this in ancient times, and it did work. Of couse you want to wash it out though. They also used eggs in certain paints for portraits known as tempura paint

not egg alone, but combine1 single egg with cedar powder and 1 spoon of coffee powder and with a small portion of water. after mixing, let it be for half an hour. and then put it on your hair, try to rob it on your skin rather than the surface of your hair. cover your head with plastic bag for 1 to 2 hours, then go and wash it. its great for the hair and the smell of cedar its just beautiful, use it once in a week, u will see the diffrence. btw, this is a central iran recipe.
Ok eggs are actually really good for your hair and make a great hair mask however I would not wash my hair with it, you definitely need to shampoo afterwards.
Actually, eggs are very good for your hair, as is beer as weird as it might sound he's actually right. Ask a barber or beautician they'll tell you that using eggs in your hair will help give or a nice healthy glow. There's something in the eggs that are beneficial for the hair again, same with beer
Eggyolk is both water and fat soluble, so while it is still a bit weird to jsut use straight egg yolk and you will smell of egg, it would actually get the hair clean
To be fair, my dad used to breed and show Belgian malonois dogs. Fed each of them a raw egg everyday to keep a healthy shiny coat.... But no way in hell am I going to stand in the Arkansas Delta heat with eggs in my hair 😂😂😂
actually gonna try this since eggs is so cheap in my vietnam village. been losing hair more lately since im 34 but still not close to bald yet and hair puffs out which i hate
The guy in the video wasted an egg every time he washed his hair, because 5 minutes isn’t enough. He has a good point about the benefit of eggs to hair care though. Also as he didn’t wash his hair with shampoo after that, his hair would carry a smell. Many years ago, I used eggs and yoghurt as a type of hair mask for my hair care routine. The smell of raw eggs was definitely unpleasant for me, as I had to leave the mixture on my hair for at least 30 minutes. Then, I needed to wash my hair with shampoo, twice. Aside from hair oils, I think rice water and rosemary water are better options than raw eggs.
What he doesn’t know is that those vitamins need to be in a form that the hair can absorb. We can’t absorb egg through our hair. Do you know how insane it would be if food got absorbed through our hair?! We’d have to use hair covers while we eat.
U better use coconut extract milk that contain lot vitamin to repair damaged hair and make ur hair soft, this also fix dry hair problem better than sampoo that say can fix ur hair problem
Women's hair blogs all over the world still tell people to do this. It's super common. I mean...why waste the white though? He should have separated them before the shower and had an egg white omelet too.
Finally, an egghead. So, from the comments, I've learnt that eggs are good as a conditioner but not as good as shampoo. So shampoo, egg it, let it sit there for a bit and then wash it out. That said, decent eggs don't come cheap and I'd rather not put it in my head. I'll just stick to shampoo, but Im aware there are actual alternatives to shampoo though, not sure what though.
Actually, using a shampoo is delulu. You put some chemicals on your head... I stopped using shampoos and just use water. Best decision ever for my hair.
Finally found someone who thinks the same Shampoo originated as a hair massage oil and now it turned into something soapy It removes oil which our body produces for a reason so people apply additional oil than their body produces more oil now they use shampoo again 😑
Tbh, this guy technically isn't an idiot like all the other people maxim has reviewed. The only thing is there are probably other efficient ways without using shampoo.
