I completely agree with you. Rosalina's class is very underrated and underused just because midweights like Yoshi are way easier to use. You can actually build the best bagging combos with this class while still doing great for frontrunning. It surely requires more skill and open playstyle to get the most out of it. You got really unlucky during this session but still managed to clutch middle spots at the end because the higher speed stat also affects your speed items for comeback. In some races it was kinda your fault as well because you took questionable lines - understandable since you're not used to the lower handling (even though it's still perfectly fine because it's above 3.00). This is the proof that this class is amazing if used properly (and if you don't get Mario Karted every 30 seconds of course!)

It is funny that Paris Promenade and Tokyo Blur are argued to be the worst Tour tracks (I can't disagree). They both are Wave 1 tracks, too. Honestly, the Wave 1 tracks were such a weak start to the Booster Pass Courses (maybe with the exception of Ninja Hideaway).
The game is pretty balanced tbh. Unless you’re playing super competitive you can use whoever you want. Even then you kinda can, you just have to be smart about items and whatnot As far as koopa, he has less speed than the meta, but the same mini turbo, and better handling, traction, invincibility, and ever so slightly acceleration So you definitely could use him if you wanted
