What about not listen to anything and focus on what your body is telling during training?
@Epistemologics
@Epistemologics Год назад
@@djzrobzombie2813 Not listening to anything always keeps me more mindful during training, however you can get to a point with training where it doesn't take any focus to train properly, so using the time to be more productive might not have much of a cost other than not being mindful. There's give and take to every decision, like he says in the video.

i got sick with covid and having a ten day long guilt free break seriously made me wake up and realise how much i’ve wasted my life grinding for the next thing for nothing. i felt so good during that time being sick that i decided that i was going to prioritise just vibing out not even caring about my future as long as i get the bills paid but no more and no less. honestly my life has gotten so surprisingly better since then and i’ve had so many breakthroughs I find it a truly ridiculous thought to ever go back to the way i was. All i’ve been doing is skating, hanging out with friends and making money in the days I feel like it. I’m not worried about motivation or where I might be headed because I know following loving myself legitimately is the only thing worthwhile doing, the rest just seems like ego. i used to hate myself and when it clicked how horrible and wrong it is to hate on myself was, I cried and said to myself that I would never treat the truly innocent part of me (the child) like shit ever again. Most of what I want nowadays is to just not being anyone down, including myself. Just hang, give, love and remember that we’re all gunna die. I totally sympathise with anyone reading this who is thinking “fuck… how?!” I thought like that for most my life. Took seemingly forever to have all the pieces tumble into place after years and what i’ve shared with you just now is what the result was. This isn’t the end by no means, believe that my life may just be beginning now. Well… there you go. hope this helps someone

Julien, thank you for all of the content you so freely and generously create and put out to the world. The wisdom and value/benefit of what you are teaching is infinitely more worthwhile and beneficial than say the curriculum being taught in our traditional educational system.. What’s puzzling to me is how few people “get it“. You probably know this better than anyone, Julien, but experience has taught me time and time again that the vast majority of the people with whom I interact with in a meaningful way, be it family, friends, coworkers, or even casual acquaintances, are quite literally incapable of grasping the simple truths of your message. Don’t get me wrong, I am far from perfect and I still struggle with breaking free from all the trauma, programming and preconditioning I received in my youth. What I’m learning now, though is when to dial it back, and how to accept the simple fact that some people aren’t ready to get it, can’t get it, or may well never it. The irony or rather tragedy, is that most everyone wants it and needs it, at least that’s what they believe/say, however, there are unwilling to do the work, the REAL deep inner work…. the core foundational work. that must be done. They are, in effect, trying to scratch an itch that they will never ever reach, and in essence, sleep walking through life, despite the genuine desire, effort and repeated UNSUCCESSFUL attempts to improve their lives through all forms of coping mechanisms, therapy, hacking, trickery, etc. I realize you already know all this, but it still blows me away. My biggest learnings are 1) not everyone is going to like or approve of me, and that’s OK/normal, and 2) I am not the ‘get it’ police and to keep the do gooder, codependent, all pro people pleaser inside of me in check, and focus on myself. It’s all too easy for me to become an advice monster, and try to fix/save/rescue all the people around me who CLEARLY can’t see and are content to stick with what got them to where they are. The devil we know. You and Owen are beautiful people. Thanks for showing up authentically, Julien, and for all you do. You are making a huge impact, and I hope you are making a little dough. I know it’s not your driving goal/purpose, but for crying out loud, you sure as heck deserve it for all of your good hard work, and for the positive impact you are making on the world. Andrew

Honestly, scheduling mess around time actually made me procrastinate less on my work. I am a university student and I found as soon as I scheduled 1 to 2 hors of mess around time I could then truly just relax and take a break. Then when I have to work I am no longer thinking about wanting to watch a show and hangout with friends, and when I am relaxing I'm not beating myself up about how unproductive I really am. I actually can now get more work done in less time because I'm not distracted thinking about relaxing. Thank you Juline for the great message!

Some people like me have no purpose on one exclusive thing. My purpose is to have child like wonder with ANYTHING I tend to gravitate to, and be in the present-- be it chores, work, or play. First time in a long time hearing this message this way, without the never ending hustle view on things in this age of self improvement.

I live the life I love. I surf every day. I teach kids skateboarding. Great friends/comunity and even help holiday makers out with free surf lessons so they don't kill me and my mates. I sing in a band as well. Then it gets to 4pm n I go to my factory job till 12am. I'm greatfull for this job as I get the day time to embrace so much joy n fun. My question to my self is how can I make after tax £350 pounds a week so I don't need the evening job. With so much abundance out there n I still haven't spotted the answer yet. Its such a low amount I feel dumb not knowing what's possible and a how.

Today at work was awful. I was taken to my supervisor's office with her and a high-ranking chef. They (or mostly the chef) told me that I've been touching my coworkers too much. Not _THAT_ type of touch, of course not! Just casual ones, like on arms or shoulders. I was always very outgoing at work. When I asked her if anyone reported a complaint, she said it didn't matter. She told me that we need the workers to be comfortable in a good work environment, and that I pretty much shouldn't talk about anything other than work and school (I work at a university's catering service). She told me I shouldn't tell my stories because they may be inappropriate to my coworkers. Now yeah, I pretty much don't have a filter, and sometimes I guess I do say inappropriate stuff at work, but not _horribly_ nor intentionally. I like to joke around and have fun with my coworkers, but I guess it isn't like that after all (more or less). I really didn't get specific information from the chef about what and who. She understands and likes that I'm outgoing, but she made it sound risky and in need of limits, for good behavior and my coworkers' sake. And again, that I shouldn't touch my coworkers (shoulders or arms) without their consent. But seriously, I'm not a creep! I don't randomly hug people or anything like that. I didn't mean to be so "handsy" (I say loosely). I'm so embarrassed about the office lecture. I am not like Biden at all. I'm really not. Have I really gone that far at work? I already hate being on the spectrum, and sometimes I actually hate myself. I wish I could work somewhere, not only for my coworkers' sake (should that presumption be true) and myself, because I'm so ashamed.

"Many teachers think of children as immature adults. It might lead to better and more 'respectful' teaching if we thought of adults as atrophied children. Many 'well-adjusted' adults are bitter, uncreative, frightened, unimaginative, and rather hostile people. It might be better if we thought of adults as atrophied children."
