Even as a gers fan I cant think of a bad thing to say about this guy did Lennon ever put himself in this position if so I can’t imagine him being so sincere or comfortable Ange is a good thing for Scottish football no doubt

He is David, and I agree with you. He’s not one who would ever get embroiled in anything petty or nasty in the Glasgow goldfish bowl, which is a good thing IMO. Taking the time to do these kind of interviews which are non professional level, shows a great respect for real people.

The difference in quality of questions on this press conference compared to the usual mundane crap we get fed from the so called "professional" journalists is night and day. Fan media pressers are the way to go. Proper questions that the fans want answers to and not the shite we're dealt up every week.

@stookiebhoy

@@callumgordon7950 Totally agree mate. You can tell there’s been a bit of thought gone into these questions instead of the usual leading questions that are trying to get him to say what they want him to say so they get their headline… He knows these questions are from people who actually care what the answers are going to be because they’re emotionally invested in the club, and not just because it’s in their job description.

Love his honesty. The way he explained how Kyogo would be resting about now if he had stayed in Japan was something for the support to take on board. A lot of things to consider when managing time off. I bought into Ange literally from the off as we were in such a bad place I couldn't see him being worse than what we had before he came in. My belief and respect for the guy just grows and grows by the day. We have a genuinely top man in charge, we are lucky to have him, and I am convinced he will be a success. As long as he gets proper backing from the board. That's a whole different story mind you. Great content. You can see he enjoys engaging with the fans and long may it continue HH

No beef in your comment mate but as a long time fan and convert from the 1st time I heard Ange speak back in the 90's I need to alert you to the fact it's far from the beginning, Ange has dominated from day 1. Wikipedia grab of his 1st coaching gig. "Following his retirement, Postecoglou took up the role of an assistant coach at South Melbourne. Postecoglou gained the head coaching position in 1996, following the firing of Frank Arok. He led South to consecutive National Soccer League titles in 1997-98 and 1998-99, as well as winning the 1999 Oceania Club Championship, which in turn led to South's participation in the 2000 FIFA Club World Championship.[12] South would go up against clubs such as Vasco De Gama and Manchester United with his squad earning praise among the football community. Postecoglou's NSL sides were feared amongst the competition for their fast-paced possession style."

We (south Melbourne) took on fergies ManU in club world champs tourney and were well competitive, we played like a top Euro team, I was totally convinced after that match that Ange had the philosophy to shoot for the stars, whatever level and wherever he went, I called for Australia to appoint him senior coach in 1999 but knew full well that was below him and he deserved to be coaching in euros biggest leagues at the best teams. 22 years later I am only more convinced every week....

How can one not love Ange? He's down to earth, highly intelligent, confident in his own skin, humble, self aware, genuine, honest, and a real Leader. Some great questions, some great answers. I really enjoyed almost a full hour of Ange, but really liked the parts where Ange's face lit up talking about living in Scotland, managing Celtic, the people and fans embracing him, and the other was Ange talking about the "differences" between reserved(respectful) Japanese Media and (arrogant, aggressive, sly) West Central Scotland Hack Journalism. He totally gets the Club, the fans, the Country, and the sociopolitical and media landscape.

For all that I like Ange the nonsense about pre-season is just insulting it might affect their maximum output, but these guys after a lengthy time are still nowhere near good enough for the team. All athletes that take a break from competitive engagement lose their edge, but the excuses for football players are staggering. Compare this to boxers even though it is a solo sport they do not have pre-seasons and have breaks from fight to fight, yet they perform at their near best every time. If this was a dedicated player like Ronaldo, this would never be an issue. Yes, we are not dealing with world-class players, but they should after all this time be much better than they are. James McCarthy is nowhere near the first team and should not be in it, being a Celtic fan is irrelevant, being a good player able to earn the vast wage he is paid is relevant. If they are not good enough, punt them like the deadwood that we paid 10s of millions for thanks to Lawhell Ajetti and Barkas are still nowhere near ready after a year, fans money straight down the drain not Desmonds. The younger guys I am less bothered by they either take direction or move on the manager's choice is fine by me
