My dad is adopted and found his birth mom! I have a picture of her when she was 19 and we look almost identical. My grandma has dementia now but my aunts are amazing and that side of the family is so loving.

My mom has a really cool similar story! My grandma was 15 when she had my mom and the dad was out of the picture. It wasn’t until after my mom was married to my dad and 25 years old that she met her dad. My dad’s sister and my mom worked at the same video store and my mom would notice a guy who was a real asshole (that’s what she said 😅) and didn’t know his name until my aunt rang him up. She also knew his name so she told my mom basically, I think that is your dad. Long story short, my aunt ended up sending him a card from my mom (unbeknownst to her) with her contact info and he called. He’s grandpa to us kids and we get together for holidays with his other kids and their families. Crappy situation that turned into a positive 💖

This made me cry! This is so sweet and I’m so glad they met and that the mother was happy to meet him!

I met my birth mom. It did not end up going well, but I got closure and answers. I'm thankful for that.

This changed my mood from tired to happy. One of my friends is adopted. I hope she gets to meet her biological parents and that the reunion will be as happy as this.

I never met my birth mom in person vut we talk occasionally on Instagram. She's not in a great place in her life rn. I did meet my dad, who turned out to be nit a good person.

Kind of similar ish story. My bio grandmother had a bunch of kids & they ended up all over the place through the years (some given up for adoption, some given to other family). Anyways when my mother’s sister “A” who was adopted started looking for her birth family, she found out who my mother & siblings were and shockingly her adoptive cousin was really good friends with my mothers other sister “B” (my mother & sister “B” were raised & living with their grandmother at that time) anyways she used to come to her cousins (sister B’s friend’s) house and would sit outside & watch my mother & siblings come in & out of the house (I know that sounds kind of creepy but it’s sweet if you know them).

It takes a strong person to raise a child well and it takes a strong person to give a child up for the right reason. Neither my adoptive nor biological mother is a strong person. They're both trash and I wish I weren't related to either of them in any sense. My adoptive mom was an abusive narcissist and my birth mothers plan seemed to be that id have better opportunities and get rich and then abandon my adoptive parents as an adult and take care of her instead.
