I remember when I knew nothing about sound design and all the knobs on synths were so foreign to me. You helped me a lot throughout the years to understand sounds. Knowing you I know this course will be super high quality. Thanks!! 👍
Tom. I already signed up this morning. I’m so excited. Cheers man. As I’ve said before youtube is a better place with content creators like you. 2023 off to a nice start.
Hey man, been a long time supporter and have always loved your intuitiveness with your tutorials and your genuine character on youtube. Will defiantly be investing in your course
Just found your channel, and at that price… I think I might just have to sign up‼️ I’ve got about a year experience now with sound design/music production in general. I’ve spent practically the entire year focusing on sound design, watched 100s of videos etc unfortunately I can’t save my work other than the serum/phaseplant presets I make because I can’t afford ableton live atm. Just skimming through what’s in your course, it looks like it’s immeasurably invaluable to someone like me. For $57 usd? I think imma have to jump on that at my earliest opportunity especially since your still gonna be adding content to it for potentially 2+ more years. Imma just say thank you In advance because when I can afford ableton live to save my work, and I watch those videos and then go back and watch them again while I’m progressing through my tracks, that that knowledge your sharing is gonna priceless!!
Hi Tom, this seems interesting. I just have two questions: 1. Is it possible to see a rough outline or curriculum of what you have in mind for the course? (I see the list of around 40 topics on the site, but cannot really get a sense of how the course is structured and how those topics fit together and what areas are given more weight) 2. How Serum-centric will the sound design course material be? Are the techniques covered based on universal elements and capabilities available in most synths so that people using other software or hardware synths can still follow along?
Its lifetime? let me knovv plz. I'm from Brazil and you knovv for me that costs a lot money but I vvanna understand more. it life time or 2 years for everyone vvho sign novv?
This is pretty exciting news but does this mean you will no longer make Serum sound tutorials for your channel? will this be your new focus? I personally enjoy your Serum series and would be devastated to lose potential future content.
I'll still be making synthesis tutorials alongside more general sound design content, it might just look a little different. Working on a video currently that is 3 serum pads from scratch in one video for instance :) RU-vid has changed a lot since I started the 'patch per video' format and I have to adapt too. But yeah I don't plan on giving up covering Serum in the foreseeable so don't fret!
Hard to say, I recommend checking out the course content outline on the page. I'd say the bulk of the content right now is beginner/intermediate orientated, but I'll be adding more and more advanced level content as time goes on.
