I really think formula Mazda deserves a permanent hopper, some of the best racing I’ve ever experienced in a game. They should also add a formula 3 style car for a future hopper

Can only agree with the video title, I've put quite a few hours into the formula mazda hopper myself! when you get a good bunch of folk all running stock/default settings and on different strategy & fuel loads it makes every lap so entertaining! we were racing Grand Oak reverse one time & we were almost 3-wide for 2 whole laps only exchanging on the straights or if someone took a lunge! it's brilliant!

this game really needs more social options, particular pre and post-race even if it's just more quick chats to congratulate and exclaim other things

Today I raced almost 5 hours the open C Class series and man it was fun! Starting with a low car and gaining experience with the car and leveling it step by step is such a great concept. I loved it

the Formula Mazda hopper was an extremely fun one. with the right wheel FFB settings it felt natural, sorta like a really grippy and fast shifter kart. and a lot of the lobbies I was in with that car were very clean, and very competitive. i'll always love my Viper and TA Challenger in the Forza GT hoppers but the Formula Mazda was by far some of the best racing i've had on Forza.

I’ve gotta say the formula Mazda has been my favourite races so far, early lmp has been alright but will definitely be looking forward for when formula Mazda is back

Been having great fun with this game. I was hoping very much to like it and it delivered. I had a blast with Spotlight series with Porsche GT3 RS. Slowly built it and tuned it myself, won last 3 out of 4 races. Always hated Nurburgring GP circuit for being too technical but after tuning the Porsche and winning it 2 times I quite like it now. Keep in mind that in Spec racing you can still tune the car and it can make MASSIVE difference.

This has been my favorite race so far. I've had the most clean and fun races in this race

I really like the C class hopper because of the cars around that bracket. Older BMWs, Miatas, lots of other Japanese cars, and sometimes a sprinkle of something else. I still struggle to find the best cars around that PI, but it's fun having so many choices. Not so fun are the shameless rammers that shouldn't be in S safety rating lobbies, but they're there nonetheless. Seems like both the skill AND safety ratings need some work to group up more similar players more reliably.

First race was spectacular! Nice work

I had a race in these on grand oak reverse where I stuck with the hards all race compared to others on the mediums. I went from 21st all the way to 2nd. It was very satisfying and probably my best forza race ever.

Love the content Steve! Will try the formula hopper soon! Game is enjoyable when it works. Lots of issues with loading and inbetween loading screens, sometimes gets stuck on applying tune, waiting for players, waiting for race to start etc.. have to reboot the game. Overall enjoyable.

I really liked the Civic series that they had for the introductory multiplayer ranked hopper. Thought this was extremely fun and found a LOT of people driving hard, making mistakes in a good way and learning off of that and following and adapting lines of other drivers. Found more people looking to push than seeing red and just pushing to find blood and achieve their win when they are frustrated they cant keep up.

I’ve noticed and am surprised I don’t see it mentioned more, but there seems to be an issue with “hit boxes” in FM. Even in career you can see a detected collision when there’s still inches of space between the cars. Though you won’t feel the impact until you actually see the contact. Very weird.

The formula Mazda has been my favorite series so far, I did an intense session on Suzuka in the wet and it had me full out palms sweaty pushing 9/10s

At turn 1 you can take the turn through the pit exit, which allows you to carry *a lot* more speed through the corner. The game considers it part of the race track, so it’s a clean lap/ no penalty.

Keep u pthe Forza Content.. I used to play so much grand turismo when i was younger.. Im around your age... And I havent had a racing game in years.. I really hate myself for not playing them But I got Forza through the EA Game Pass.. Im on PC now... And I wish I could Play Grand turismo but i do not have a PS5... This game has revitalized my racing game expeirance as my dad is a crew chief in IMSA... Seeing the tracks and cars is amazing as I have worked with him at times on race day.. Keep it up!!!!!

I love the Toring car hopper. Made some good friends. The multiplayer aspect of the game is greatly improved over FM7. I hope they add races that require a mandatory tire change. So far the strat has been no stop.

My favorite event has been the touring cars. The GT series is cool, but the races always feel too short for cars that quick.

This week my favorite hopper has been the c class hopper. I suuped up the 09 s2000 and it is so fun to drive again the older c class cars. Still gives good enough speed but with obtainable cars

Me and my friends from work have been racing these every weekend and we all made our own liveries and its actually super fun.

Nice racing. I think I'll have to give this game a try. From when I raced Skip Barber at The Glen back in the day I can tell you for sure they'd race when it's that foggy.

I found Formula Mazda to be absolutely chaotic. Knocked my safety rating from S down to B. That said, when the racing was clean, it was intense

hey for turn 1 at mid ohio, you can cut across into the pitlane and it’s still considered part of the track

had some fun in the touring series for a bit and also the current LPM series, however GT series will always be number 1 when it comes to the cars plus level of competition

I LOVE formula Mazda. It's the most fun I've had in Forza in a while. It's unfortunate that the no-stopper is the meta strategy, but I've had some great races either way. Spec series is the way to go in this multiplayer format where upgrades are disallowed.

loving the game, playing on wheel and this is the first forza i don’t think playing on the wheel is a disadvantage, will say the gt cars without tuning are kinda hard to control on wheel, once you tune the car though they drive a lot better!

Lately I’ve been enjoying the Touring hopper, using the Levorg even though it’s definitely not the best and seeing how many I can pass starting from the back.

Loved that one. I've had a shocker every time I've raced it but great track, great car for it.

I can only drive chase cam with a controller. I use a wheel so I race using cockpit cam. Chase cam gives you more situational awareness but cockpit cam lets you see tailgate the car in front much better.

I've only done Touring Cars so far but it's been a lot of fun. Racing has been fairly clean too. I'm not much of a MP gamer but if this remains as clean as it has been I can see me playing it more. Especially with the Career mode being as lacking as it is.

Super good races! I really hope they bring back the Formula Mazda spec series, most fun I’ve had on this game so far! Question- did you use a tune for your Mazda or keep it stock? I didn’t touch mine at all, when I did I just made it way harder to drive at the benefit of zero time gain… 😅

Hopefully I’ll meet you on the track some time. Do you happen to play using the onboard view? Find the immersion is a lot better, and it’s quite okay to perform nicely.

i havent played much multiplayer-did one race after getting my safety rating(mid S so i was pleased with myself there) but then decided to go finish the single player stuff

I have been to mid ohio several times and have wished for years for it to be in a motorsport game. I have to say though I really hope they add the layout with the chicane before the keyhole (180 degree turn at the end of the first straight) to multiplayer. This chicane is in iracing and you can nearly take it flat out just with a slight lift.

It's a shame Forza hasn't introduced vr support. These close races would be fantastic in vr

ive found with the formula mazda that there's a strange hitbox collision happening with the front aero and the wing. the wing is up high enough for the aero to go under, but the hitboxes collide

really appreciate the recreation of Mid-Ohio in this game. We go and watch the Indy 200 there frequently. Its a great layout

Im having incredible races now on LMP series, everyone racing clean, slow drivers letting me pass with a lot of space, top 5 drivers racing for 5 laps with 0 contact, having a blast on forza mp

I hope they bring back the Mazda racing soon. I heard someone say the hit-box isn't right that's why sometimes it says collision when there wasn't.

A and C will always be my favorite hoppers. Though I am quite looking forward to B class when it gets here.

You should take a look into the way that IRL Formula drivers take those longer turns. It looks like you're usually trying to follow the so-called "ideal curve" through the longer turns, especially through the second and last turns of this track, but that's apparently not optimal for Formula racing. Formula drivers will usually brake a little later than you would think on the turn and then turn into the rest of the curve more aggressively to try to follow mostly straight lines of acceleration throughout the middle and exit of the curve. Following the "ideal curve" gives a better "constant" speed throughout those big curves, but the way Formula drivers do it gives them a higher average speed. There is a pretty good Driver61 video on the topic that came out a few weeks back that goes into better detail about it if you're curious.

Formula Mazda hopper was so good, especially around Mid Ohio. Felt like that was a great pairing.

I’ve just really enjoyed all the spec events so far, having the same cars makes for the best racing! Touring cars are laugh
