Fred Astaire singing "I've Got Beginner's Luck" from Shall We Dance with Ginger Rogers. There's also some dog-walking and sweater destruction in the beginning.
In real life Fred was nervous around big dogs. The tune 'Walking the Dog', aka 'Promenade', was orchestrated and performed as a concert piece (his last?) after George Gershwin died.
You mean, like Virginia Bruce's Cheeky in 'Born to Dance', saved from drowning by Jimmy Stewart? Cheeky is the anti-hero of 'Love Me, Love My Pekinese' by Cole Porter.
My pup was a carbon copy of "Walter". Close-up, side view, tail, ears, even the bark... exactly! Must have been his great-great-great-great-great granddad. Recently lost him, so makes me happy to watch this. Love it!
