This song was featured in the Merrie Melodies cartoon of the same name. The early Merrie Melodies/Looney Tunes cartoons were used as an advertising vehicle for songs in the Warner Bros. record library. The cartoons basically helped sell records. In a way, those cartoons were the earliest forms of music video, long before MTV or even music programs that preceded MTV in promoting bands or singers, like American Bandstand, Hullabaloo, or Soul Train.
