First of all, mad respect to you to actually read all the player windows that appear, because most of the people do not read those. I read the manga so it makes me happy. The VA name is 'Taito Ban' who also voiced 'Soyuz' in 'Dr Stone'.
@@mani4929 Even though news of it came around the time episode 2 released, they were already recording episode 4 and the news I read says it happened during snake fight of episode 4. Maybe it's just a rumor but after watching this episode, I think it could be true that he coughed blood. Considering it's his first major role, as protagonist of a popular anime, maybe he wanted to give it his all so he overdid it.
I looked it up and Sung Jin Woo's voice actors name is Taito Ban. I personally haven't heard of him but he is KILLING it with this role. As a Solo Leveling manhwa enjoyer I couldn't have asked for more. Great episode and the next one is gonna be amazing as well.
i think the next one is gonna end with a clifhunger SPOILER : 100% gonna end when they got trapped with the spider boss and the episode after that gonna has two parts, the first gonna defeat the boss and the second part he will kill the criminals C-rank hunters
You can tell how much literal strength he gained at the end of the episode. When he threw the sword and then he turned around you could see how much muscle he gained. He was at level 1 when he went into that dungeon and by the time he got out the Stat boosts he picked took effect as soon as he left. So he went in there with barely any muscle and came out like that when the boosts took effect. The ones he gains in there don't look like much cause he almost keeps checking too often to see if he's gotten stronger
@Garou_kills this isn't the manwha so I don't see what your point is. They've already changed some stuff like showing Cha hae in way sooner. From the animes perspective that's the first time you can see his strength growths on his body specifically
What makes it a better power fantasy is that so far unlike certain other animes or mangas, the other characters or hunters don't feel irrelevant. Just like how even Sung Jin Woo wasn't completely irrelevant despite being the weakest hunter (was), it also feels like they aren't kneecapping every other hunter just to prop up the MC (looking at your Sword Art Online). To me, the best power fantasy is where you earn that power. Power feels better when compared to strong people/characters/foes, not weak. For example, I think Elden Ring is a great power fantasy game. You start off unknowing, weak, underprepared and underequipped. But through hours of playing, you get better to the point you level up, find builds, gear and skills that turn what was once difficult battles into a breeze. Solo Levelling manages to be that power fantasy while still at the moment, feeling humble.
@GoodwillWright yeah I hate anime that don't show how a character gets stronger. They just are somehow. With this you can see him getting stronger with each enemy he fights and you see his actual progression. Like how he fought the wolves and he got stronger than them and then fought the boss essentially bare handed and it worked cause of his strength stats then he exited the dungeon and broke through the golem's defenses by throwing a broken sword. That's 3 significant levels of progression in one episode
Big props to A-1 pictures for delivering justice to the boss fight & also the voice actor for giving life to Sung Jinwoo.. Absolute banger of an episode!
I fucking LOVE the rough lines of the snake as it runs rampant throughout the subway to try and shake off Jinwoo, the sketchy lines make you feel the ferocity and weight of the moment, as our boy is crushing the life out of the boss. A-1 is cooking.
The sword was the same weapon he picked up to defend himself when he was alone in the double dungeon It's not explained well but everything he picked up in that fight is on him and in perfect working order.
Can we also appreciate the lack of an epic cliff hanger finally. Feels good to get a full experience start to end for once. I remember some of the scenes differently, but i also didnt read the light novel yet during this part of the story.
Easily the best reaction channel on RU-vid, he is energetic, humble, perceptive, funny and the way he explains the plot and how he is understanding things is beyond the other reactors! Wish I could subscribe twice! 🔥🔥🔥
YES EXACTLY! that’s what we felt when read the manhwa long ago, we’ve been in a journey with sung jin woo thru the show, that’s why this is the most anticipated manhwa adaptation ever. when he fought with kasaka, i can wait for other main fight later, sh was hype af !! 🔥
Wow am glad am not the only one who picked up that’s his rank now the well he is actually now rank C plus not the monster snake was rank C and he beat it and it was orange so both was rank C and if he leveled up that means he isn’t rank C anymore but C plus soon to be B minus then B then B plus
From what we saw he was the weakest so he was actually E minus near human level but still stronger than them , then the exercise and penalty surviving put him E rank then he went to E plus after killing the Goblins and two wolves
@@yaboysjdior Yeah after he beat the snake he reached solid C rank status. He is still not high-C rank, but some more days of Saitama's training will get him there haha
The Voice Actor of Jinwoo is Taito Ban he's not that famous and usually play a side character on other anime (he was the glasses bike hero from One Punch Man), i believe this is the 2nd time he got a main character role.
A1 cooked and Sawano delivered with some amazing music and Taito the Va is performing out of his skin as Jin Woo... Fantastic episode and it just shows what we can expect from here on our when it comes to action and story 🔥🔥🔥 Glad you're enjoying this too Michael.
Brother , I'm Brazilian (And I don't know how to speak English, so I watch it with subtitles) and I've watched a lot of react channels, and yours is without a doubt the best channel of this genre that I've ever seen, you get the same feeling I had when watching this episode,Congratulations brother, you have another written one!
He still doesn't believe how strong he actually is yet, you can see that when he assumes the creature was already worn down. They're gonna have to make a new tier just for him. Totally agree with you on the VA. Not sure I blinked when I watched this episode earlier.
Hey man I can seriously say that I love your videos. I see a new anime and I immediately look to see if you have reacted to it or not. Keep up the great work!
after all that cliffhangers they already gave us this satisfaction scene bro, the animation, the camera angle the voice actor wth!.. I'd already read this plenty of times but this scene gave me chills !.. can't wait to see more god tier animation.. bravo
I heard rumours that Taito Ban, the voice actor for Jinwoo got so into it in this episode, he actually bled. It's so ironic that a human hugs a snake to death when it's usually the other way arouind.
In the manwha Orange means the same strength or stronger and red means the enemy is alot stronger, i think its a little confusing in the anime because they say orange is the same level even tho it was a little stronger then him
Yeah it was a bit confusing when he said on the same level and then all of a sudden it goes to red and it's way stronger. There's too big of a gap in between with how the anime stated it
Sung’s VA, Taito, went super hard. Apparently he’s never had a lead role, or so I’m told. And apparently the rumor is he screamed so hard for this episode that he coughed up blood. I had read that it was this episode and not ep2 which some had said before.
Mike the aura you just saw was only a glimpse.. There are also other things but the next raid is damn fire 🔥🔥in the manhwa , the next raid marked the entry of chad jin woo🔥🤯
I liked that Jinwoo didn't one shot the golem but instead staggered it enough to let the other Hunters finish it. It's a creative choice that I respect because it would have been so easy for him to chuck the sword and destroy it in one go, all badass, but instead the story keeps him grounded still and he even downplays himself. It would be so easy for this story to be the typical overpowered self insert MC game Isekai, but instead they're taking their time with the progression of strength. I'm hoping Jinwoo will keep himself steady or, if he gets cocky/unfeeling because he's more powerful than the rest, that it'll be part of a character arc.
I’ve read it as well but the way the writer portrayed him down the line definitely didn’t make him an overly snobby/careless person. He still has a drive for power and whatnot, cared about people, etc..
Bro Sung Jinwoo farming runes is crazy lol. and they literally had white fog like in souls games before the boss fight. lol i swear this is a Fromsoftware Anime lol
THE MUSIC !!! It brings tears to my eyes because it reminds me so much of AOT !! Choosing Hiroyuki Sawano to do the soundtrack is the best move ever , because of that it only makes this series 10x better !! Let’s level up !!
They are building it up slowly but surely and they show how he evolves to be so awesome 💪 can’t wait for next instant dungeon 😋 there it will change a lot
bro you are not ready for Sung"Drip"Woo! Literally bouta jump into the same league as the greats. This is truly a dream come true. 100% never expected the manwha to get an anime!
bro if ypu got hype on the aura, jist wait for the best glowup ever including the aura, this scene is lit yet to hanging, i didn't realize the pacing of the anime was so slow than in the manhwa 😂
