Mr Video was _right there_ w/a clear, confident "Always!" before PF got to the next lyric! Every time I've heard that song since I watched Mr Video react to it I hear those lyrics & chime in🫠 right on time with a lyric that somehow isn't actually _ON_ 🤔 ANY recordings of "Shine On You Crazy Diamond" 🌠

OMG this made me laugh.... cause I can relate. My dad actually timed each mass based on Saturday evening or Sunday service, and which Priests were doing the mass. I the Archbishop was doing it... that was a nope... regular service with him often went to almost an an hour and a half... but if we went to the other church 15 minutes in the other direction, start to finish 30 minutes.... and if there was a charity breakfast being done, he'd even shave another 5-10 minutes off so that the congregation could attend. So the full Catholic mass, a 10 dollar ticket to the meal and dad would bring me home and tell mom that contrition and communion given, we had our breakfast, and he even would bring home a plate of food for mom. (She had taken my grandparents to the Saturday evening mass.)

@Darcell Downing you're welcome buddy! I'm an INTERNATIONAL prisoners advocate for 37 years who helped fight for this bill to be passed into law. I deal with everybody from my juveys to my people on death row. I've got a lot of long timers still inside under these and other Draconian laws. I personally don't smoke anymore, it never really was my thing to begin with. BUT I absolutely believe that everybody has the right to and not be penalized to the extent that they are. I also believe that the law should have gone a little further than it did. So therefore, the fight will continue to try and get everybody a little more leeway in the future hopefully. IF you ever want to get involved, you can contact the Correctional Association of New York. The CA is actually the only organization that has legislative authority to work towards systemic change within the NYSDOC system. THEY ARE NOT A PART OF THE JAIL OR THE NYSDOC SYSTEM AT ALL. They are a totally separate entity and answer only to our Governor Albany. They are basically are PRISON WATCH people here. They go into a minimum of three jails or prisons weekly. They pull out prisoners and speak with them individually and every person is given a case number in their reports so therefore there's no way to trace it back to THAT individual prisoner. Their reports are brought to the attention of the heads of THE NYC JAILS & THE NYSDOC... and the Governors office for review. This includes questions about medical treatment psychiatric treatment, medical or medication issues, any kind of physical assaults, access to the legal library, sexual assaults, AND anything else they want to talk about with the CA. They also walk everywhere AND they do have full access to the jails and prisons and they inspect them as they do their walk~throughs. A friend of mine Eddie used to work for them for a few years. He was a speaker for a long time representing the CA. He was also my team lead when I went up to Albany to speak with the legislators to speak with them about upcoming bills, and he was one of the people who trained me. He told his personal story about when he came out of prison. The CO made a snide comment to him saying you'll be back! Years later, yeah he WAS back! Except now HE was there to monitor HIM, and yes they did cross paths about a year later. He said YES it was absolutely worth it when he saw his face after he realized who he was walking down the tier. The COS are not thrilled about having the people from the CA there as it is because they don't like having anybody over their shoulder. So they pretty much walk around with a shitty attitude. So when this guy realized he had to escort Eddie around. Man oh man was he tight! So, if you ever want to get involved with fighting for a lot of these people who've been in there for ridiculous charges that are like 400 years old contact the CA. They're actually located in Harlem ON 125th Street, right across from the State building. Contact SCOTT and tell him that Chrissy from Long Island referred you. Tell him that you want to get involved with RAPP. That stands for Release Aging People in Prison. If you don't have a legal background that's okay, they can teach you how to do a lot of stuff that'll help a lot of these people work towards getting a parole package put together. Also you can help do research or raise awareness towards the issue of how these people are just languishing in prison. It's not just about drug charges it's also about people who've been there on old charges. I've got guys that have been refused parole 8 9 10 12:15 times. That's a 2-year hit every single time. There's guys in there but we're supposed to do a certain amount of time and they get clipped with a parole refusal and next thing you know they're in there from the 1970s! They've been sentenced there let's say to do 25 years FLAT on a murder charge. NOW HERE is how parole keeps them in for the additional 20 to 30 years. First off nobody and I mean NOBODY makes that first parole in NYS. People don't realize this but that is the unwritten rule of Parole. Not even the guy who was involved in Wall Street, who spent all his time in solitary got out of his first parole. He actually sued the NYSDOCS for unlawful confinement for keeping him past his time that he was supposed to be released, and he won! It was absolutely impossible for him to have gotten into a fight or anything else in the way of trouble to get him any kind of violations that they could have refused him for since he was in 23 hour lockdown the entire time he was there. Therefore there was no reason whatsoever for them to refuse him for parole~BUT they did. Now, what they use as their casual phrase to refuse people parole is "Due to the NATURE of your crime we feel that as an advisable to release you into the public at this time" and that's in regards to the fact that it was violence involved in whatever your crime was if it was a murder or a robbery that went wrong like in a bank that you shot a clerk and they died later or anything like that with somebody died. UNDERSTAND THAT, THE NATURE OF YOUR CRIME WILL NEVER CHANGE. The system is actually not set up to be punitive, it's actually set up to be rehabilitative. But in the 70s towards the 80s was when it started changing over. Not on paper but in theory, and that's just kind of the way it went and proceeded on from there. Then President Reagan came in and it became the tough on crime years and then he brought in his FAKE War on Drugs. That policy was a joke and also racist and also ridiculous because statistically it wasn't based correctly according to statistics when it came to drug usage. I'm actually somebody who's been involved this business SINCE the mid 80s. A lot of this is where a lot of my long time has come in because not all of them are former violent criminals. I've got people in there who have done programs for release that no longer exist in this state. The NYSDOC has actually removed the programs from their directives of what was necessary to qualify for parole because they've decided that they were outmoded. The NYSDOC has decided that those programs had run their course and replace them with something else or in some cases not replace them at all. So my people have either done the replacement courses or just not in place into another course because there was no follow-up want to be actually placed into. I've got guys who have done these programs 8 9 10 times over, the same exact program. And again parole keeps telling them due to the nature of your crime, back in 1972. It is now 2021 I don't know how many programs they need these people to do? But these people are now in their 80s. Do they honestly feel that they're going to come out and rob a bank? What are they going to do hobble away on their walker with bags of money under their arms? Are they going to speed away on one of those get arounds... You know, so they can get around? So so this is what the War on drugs has done to a lot of the people inside and the unfair practices of these old laws. Look up the CA and contact Scott if you want to help some of these guys get out. Most of them are elderly and many of them are sick. #BrooklynBorn #LongIslandRaised
