Just a reminder that on Cyber Monday (November 26th) I will be having the biggest sale of the year! ALL my programs will be 35% OFF! You only have Monday, so be ready!
wedi eri Appreciate it, man. Unfortunately, I’m not on Snapchat. Running two Instagrams, Facebook page, podcast, and RU-vid is already too much for me haha
Great in game intensity drills.. if you were playing for Guardiola in the final 3rds you would be in certain possessions the free man distributor, or semi in door free man shot taker yo avoid counter attacks because of lost balls in the mid field. Think of it this way top tier clubs invent tactics .. lower clubs learn them over the years... low level coaches get them after everyone knows them .. you actually use his drills game long match.. and winger drills too .. and CM drills too you are the free man swiss army nice to break down the opossum either by stretching the backline, overloading a FBI, dropping inside into dcm role when other FBI on t Your team over extends and play is higher up on opposite side .. overlapping to keep GB from aggressively playing/hitting your wing causing them to keep back and thus generating precious space for the wing in a pocket. And much more you do it all Including being a finisher
Yup! I’ve seen some people hate on off the post/crossbar shots, but really they are the most effective type, the goalie basically has no chance of saving them lol.
I have to admit you are my biggest motivation at the moment. Off-season, after injury and the only thing getting me to train a few times a week are your videos. playing 4th div for fun and improved a lot thanks the superior content. Also you improved stunningly on and off the pitch - high quality video entertainment. Do you constantly learn to improve your video making/editing skills?
@Perfect Soccer a bit curious one, got hit in the eye by the ball, perfectly hit an open eye, my vision was blurred for a few days, scratched cornea, also had to avoid all activity for a couple of weeks. But it healed well My vision is clear and can get the eye pressure up without risk :)
Hi Matt, I just wanted to thank you for what you do. I am a youth player in a 3rd division team here in Venezuela and you have helped me to develop as a player and adapt to the semi-professional level. I want to let you know that you are giving a lot of value to a lot of players out there that are pursuing a professional soccer career and therefor keep grinding and doing what you do. Once again, thank you
Dont even need to watch to like the video! Thank you for inspiring me to create my own channel where I post soccer training videos like you! Your awesome dude seriously keep up the hard work!
If I could link up with a coach/scout/agent or someone who could help me out then I would definitely be interested. The hard part is finding that connection over there.
Awesome video! Made my evening and inspired me even more. I am 11 years old, and I don't know what is best for me. Do I focus on drills and on the actual game, or should I go to the gym and go swimming? Maybe I should do both? Thanks, Tim.
You should stop if you don't have talent, invest in your future instead. I've played my fair share and my friends overseas as well and they ALL say that same thing : talent.
First off, don’t listen to Zulek down there haha. I had zero talent as a kid and although I’m not playing in the EPL, I’m still making a career out of playing and loving every single day. At age 11, 90% of your focus should be on ball work and playing games. Then if you want to get in a couple extra workouts each week by swimming or running or some bodyweight movements then go for it, but treat those as a little additional work that is just to supplement the main goal of training with the ball.
Sup Matt... solid video man, fun but very thorough session. I oughta use some of these drills next time i get a session in. Keep putting in the work. I hope you enjoy yourself with family as well, tomorrow, thanksgiving.
Hey there. I'll try to be very precise. Massive respect for you mate. You're a hero. I just wanted to ask some random questions.(not related to each other) 1) Does height matter in soccer? 2) Can masturbation or sex affect you as a footballer? 3) Is it necessary to go to the gym? 4) What time of the day should I train? 5) Do bigger muscles have more strength? 6) How to know which position is perfect for me? I'd really appreciate you answering my questions, it would really help me out. Thanks in advance.
Is this field in Encinitas,Ca ? Crazy Looks a lot like where I took my lunch yesterday !! Anyway, great video definitely going to try some of these drills. Love your videos man
love it Matt. Those type of drills with odd touches are separates a good player from a great player. could be worthwile to do drills that involve a one touch pass from the knee, realistically in a game once you get to higher levels sometimes you dont have time to take it down with a volley'd control etc. Just food for thought.
What’s the point of doing that dynamic touch drill? Like when are you ever gonna touch or pass the ball like that in a match? Surely it would be better to spend the time you used practicing that drill training a skill you would use more often in game situations (e.g. two touch passing in the air)?
MBTE I feel you, some drills aren't really game practical but they do help out with getting to know your body better, coordination, and who knows when a ball comes in an awkward position and you gotta use your instincts, they might help. Balance is key, it's good to change drills and challenge yourself every now and then, but I hear you.
Good stuff Matt! Pushing the comfort zone is always imperative to growth! Don't overthink it though mate! Give the unconscious mind more credit! You will better persist in your "flow" states ;)
@Perfect Soccer Cheers man! To go even deeper, it's crazy how much thoughts/self image influence our reality...to not understand thought is like limiting all of one's abilities
@Perfect Soccer yeah dude right on! limiting beliefs are often the Achilles heal to true desires...and mindset as you can advocate is a necessity to find the way out of our own way ;)
I think in the One Touch Finishes drill it might be better to pass from the wing, because in the game you will almost never get the pass from that line. What do you think?
freddy with the first touch drills you seem to only use your right foot wondering if that left leg was hurting or something always good to have a good weak foot.
Frederick Hickman also how did you get scouted? I’m going to be in HS next year and play d-mid and I don’t score a lot or assist much, but I’m one of the best players on my club team, how do I get noticed for colleges?
Brooo keep on uploading vídeo with player of good quality am from INDIA AND AM HAPPY THAT I LEARN SOMETHING FROM YOUR RU-vid CHANNEL TQ #FRADY FOR SHARING SOME OF THE TACTICS KEEP IT UP BROO LOTS OF PLAYER ARE GETTING KNOWLEDGE FROM THIS CHANNEL 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍 love from #INDIA
what do you think about millionaire hoys situation about leaving youtube? honestly, I am sad because I used to see his yoga videos so what do you think?
Can somebody help me please?? So like I practice individual everyday but idk how some people are better than me in the match but they barely practice and they don’t even practice alone.
Sar Sar believe it or not, the most important thing in soccer is your confidence and just playing your style with creativity and freedom, just have fun
Maybe your not focusing on the right thing wherever you think your game is weak focus on that and go with high intensity or don’t go at all. Make sure you aren’t just messing around when you go train
Hey Matt could you do a video on how flexible you should be getting because I’m trying to improve my flexibility but I’m worried if I learn the splits that i will become too flexible
What is the secret to long passes without interceptions, does it depend on how hard or soft the pass is? Or is it about your team mate anticipation to get into the right space?
Hi Matt I am a big fan And have been watching since Germany and I want this comment to be taken as constructive cristsm. I personally don't particularly like this off-season series As I feel That a Whole 20 minute or so video of watching you train with 2 or more other pros Isn't As good as your other Vlogs. I think this because I want to see A pro train individualy and not with someone else. And I completely understand that this is better for your current Circumstances But i just feel After a few videos in a Row this becomes Repetitive and should be mixed up with individual sessions like the first off-season series. I will still always Watch your videos and support you Just My opinion.
Good training vid. Thanks. Matt and others at what age do you recommend starting weight training. I think you started quite young 13 - 14yr.??Do you think in hindsight this was a good thing for you?
That drill that you struggled with, I think is because of your height I think shorter guys make the movement with the knee bent more consistently than a tall player. But it’s just practice and you’ll get it bro.
I'm 34. It's probably too late but want to make a run at being a semi pro!! Matt, will you be in the Portland area anytime soon? Would like to gauge my level vs some USL players etc. Can pay you for your time etc.
@@ginva4409 Yeah I agree. The thing is I already have made some decent money at this point between my military service and the corporate world. I've served in combat in Afghanistan and also worked for one of the top corporations in the world. One more thing I'd like to do is being a pro at something. Realistically I know it's too late but maybe there is a chance for a couple of years of semi pro if I sacrifice everything.. Of course I get could hurt and it would be over or no one will take me because of the age / lack of talent. There's going to be plenty of years for work though. So my chances at 34 are about .00001 percent but by 45 they will be 0. Lolll we'll see.
I am trying to figure out what my best options would be even if I have to go overseas. Would like to get in front of someone like Matt to see much of a gap I need to close. Maybe I just call it off if it doesn't seem realistic once I see "the reality on the ground" lol. Basically know at 34 no one is going to take a look at me lol.. not to mention I didn't play college and just a bit of highschool. This is probably a lost cause!!
Hi Matt, I know you did a video on what separates you from a Premier League player, but looking at you play and train, you should be in the MLS. If you haven't done so already, please could you speak about what separates you from a MLS player?
I am a center mid also. What do you train as the most important aspect as your game? Also, if I don’t score many goals or assists how can I get noticed? Thanks
first touch, and passing (Technique). Most important part of footy is how good you are with the ball. Then after that its your decision making and vision both moving forward and keeping the ball at a rhythmic tempo which you can develop in practice and in games. @@kaimcclennen2824 To get noticed try to break as many lines as you can with each of your passes and minimize mistakes, also be a beast defensively if you are a 6 or an 8.
