Absolutely friggin' GREAT!! I loved Freddie & he'll always be missed, but I've always love Paul Rodgers too and I've got to applaud him for being himself & letting loose with a beautiful performance with Queen in paying tribute to our lovable talented Freddie. I've watched several of the video's from this tour & all I've seen is outstanding performances with Queen & Paul having a great time.So sorry to see so many that don't like Paul. It's a shame you don't enjoy it as much as I do.
People seem to forget that Paul was Freddie's favorite singer. Also saw an interview with Brian May where he said that they all idolized Paul Rodgers when they were in college and Free's "Fire & Water" was like an anthem to them. Freddie would be honored to know Paul was singing his songs. I loved this combo.
Paul Rodgers is very underated to me the man is a legend he deserves much more recognition , he wrote some great songs from his earlier bands , Free, Bad Company , The Firm , and solo projects . A+ all the way
This is bang on.....INCREDIBLE! There is only one singer who Freddie can look down on and be proud to listen to, singing Queen songs and he's standing right there, ladies and gentlemen Mr Paul Rodgers....the voice, the legend and all round top guy!!
It had to be one of the most amazing experiences for Paul, being able to celebrate Freddy Mercury's life with this great crowd of Queen and Freddy fans.
I know freddie is irreplaceable.. but this vid "sends shivers down my spine" :) I think paul rodgers will be useful to keep the memory of Queen alive..
Aren't musician friends EVER allowed to join up, play some great songs and not have it be who is better than who? This is a bunch of people getting together to celebrate these songs and ALL of the people involved in creating them. Good on them for making some people happy. I've never seen or heard Paul Rodgers sing Queen songs until today. Good on ya man.
How is listening to Paul Rodgers singing Freddie's songs going to keep his legend ALIVE?? These songs are history already made by an incredible Man with an Incredible voice! I do hope the newer generations listening and going to these concerts realize and respect who Freddie Mercury was and what he contributed to the Music world!
Paul Rodgers is the soul of rock n roll. Yes we love Freddie and Eric Carr whom died on the same day but hell, give Paul respect man he sang a Queen song and still remained "paul". I'm sure Freddie would have even been flattered. Paul Rodgers FTW
The show must go on!
freddie had such a powerful voice, listen to paul's songs and he has a softer but still effective voice, he absolutely smashes it in this song, fair play
Paul Rodgers is a great vocalist, and i like the fact that he's not trying to mimic Freddie. He has his own style, and it's very good. Of course we must face the facts, nobody will ever come even close to Freddie.
My children grew up with Paul Rodgers as the lead singer of Queen and all they wanted to watch was the RETURN OF THE CHAMPIONS video by Queen and PR. When they saw a video with Freddy singing they started to cry saying “Queen had a new singer and he’s shit Daddy”. Go figure. Paul Rodgers is arguably the greatest rock singer of all time.
Your children just aren't used to changes, yet. Paul Rodgers is one of the greatest, but there's nothing to figure - Freddie is also the greatest beside Paul.
Freddie Mercury irrepetible. como el l dijo la vida continua y los demas tienen que Seguir ellos saben que no llenaran jamas el lugar que dejo Fredy Epd fue un regalo que Dios dio a la musica forever and ever Freddie Mercury
this also is very good! to the haters i would think more about the fact that 3 60 year old rockers can kick ass to most of all todays rock bands... rock on!
To all you "He's not Freddie", I'm not a fan of the association between Queen and Paul Rodgers, but I must admit that they gave the young generation the opportunity of seeing half Queen on stage and get the feeling of a live Queen concert. We have to gave them credit for that. That being said, I have more respect for John Deacon not selling his soul, and I will stick to all my TRUE Queen albums and cry myself at nights on Queen I, Queen II and Innuendo.
Everyone is so hung up on - "It's not Freddie", but no one on that stage is trying to replace him. The Queen guys, sorry to be blunt, have not died! Why should they not continue to play their music? So they get one of their mates - with a great back catalogue himself so they can all tour again and do what they all enjoy - and the fans as well. Anyway - to be fair - Freddie was a one off. But PR was not meant as a replacement. "Queen and Paul Rogers". The gigs do both catalogues.
Paul Rogers has a great vocal and is a very good performer.. enjoy the best you can get from queen now - without Freddy.. of course no one can perform songs from queen better than Freddy, but have to admit, that Paul is great too.. R.I.P. Freddy Marcury - show must go on
@cosmotcat That's wright man!!!!Enoug of busting ball's with Freddy!O.k,he was QUEEN,and a great performer, but don't forget, that Paul Rodgers was already recognized star with FREE,when the Queen were at the begining....He did WOODSTOCK,for fuck sake!!!!!!As you said:Paul lehds his own dimension of interpretation of already great music!!!Amen
