Satisfactory is a 2024 factory simulation game created by Swedish video game developer Coffee Stain Studios. It is a 3D first-person open world exploration and factory building game. The player (a "Pioneer") is dropped onto an alien planet with a handful of tools and must exploit the planet's natural resources to construct increasingly complex factories. The initial goal is to construct a space elevator and begin supplying the company the player works for (FICSIT Inc.) with increasingly numerous and complex components for their unknown purposes. These exports unlock access to new technology that make the next phase possible.

Just a gentle reminder to people who may be new to the channel: if you can, please keep your comments free from spoilers, info I may have missed, AND backseating. Even saying something like “hey, try X” changes how I approach the game and makes it hard to deliver that “newbie trying to figure out satisfactory for the first time” good stuff that so many of you are here for 💙☺️

Truly an exercise in self-discipline, watching this video series, so far. I guess we all had to learn for ourselves at one time or another. The best teacher being experience, trial and error.

Wanting to tear it down is a healthy and normative part of factory gameplay. Congratulations. Ficsit does not waste, however, so they will not look kindly on you restarting! Instead you must press forwards, continuing to serve up delicious spaghetti 😛

Enjoyable videos but the power thing is driving me insane. There was one point he was so close to accidentally figuring it out. Even he was getting frustrated with it but all he needs to do is ************

Damn man the way you power your base is killing me. The way you continuously have to mess with it because you don't just combine the grid and continuously make a single reactor for one small grid. I'm sure you probably fixed it in future videos but damn man you really made it harder on yourself.

I've done this a million times with various game mechanics, so no hate, but you came so close to realising your mistake with power, only to immediately double down on your misunderstanding of how it functions, and I find that hilarious. I can't wait to see how it exponentially spirals out of control, I'm not even sure if you can beat the game without fiiguring it out, but I'm curious to see how far you can get before asking a front seat question.

what i find surprising about his power problem is, that that aspect works the same as in factorio and other games, and yet he seems to know nothing about powernetworks ...

there is only one REALLY annoying thing about his power problems : i play satisfactory while watching these videos on another screen at the same time, and every time he blows a fuse, i start checking MY power network :-) LOL

Very much enjoying the series, though you wouldn't be able to tell from the amount of screaming at my screen. 😁 It's taking a lot of willpower not to drop any hints in the comments in all caps. The eureka moment is going to be so satisfying to watch.

When I reached the last phase of the game, I had to go back to the beginning of the previous phase and build twice as much. I still don't think I have enough. Love this game! (over 1500 hours)

Your starting area is the same as mine. Your HUB is in the same spot. Your work bench is close but turned around and you even are naming your saves the same as I'm doing. I started my save in May and I'm up to 70 I think.

I keep my starter base running as-is far longer than is healthy, not only after I unlock [redacted] but also the 1-3-8 [redacted] as well, expanding even, thus making the eventual rebuild that much more work. Or just belt the outputs to a new base not far away and hide the starter factory behind a wall of shame.

Man I find this so difficult to watch. While the normal first time errors and misses are bad enough, but his ADHD has me yelling at my screen. At this point I dont think he has any chance of "beating" this game. It only gets more complicated from here and if you cant stay focused on solving one issue at a time and blocking out the noise, well I just don't know how you get very far at all. That beinging said here I am 5+ hours into this series 😅. Good luck to you

@@michaeld519 he might just go hand crafting these things or using temporary automation. Unless he knows the worth of alt recipes and focuses on getting those as well, he will have hell to deal with making HMF. HMF is the first real obstacle imo. Unless you are chaos incarnate HMF require a little more planning than usual

@@beatooze8025 that is 100% backseating. You are trying to control gameplay by mentioning tech he’s not come across. So it’s not only backseating it’s spoiling too. It’s also not even vaguely important for someone’s first playthrough.

@@shammylevva It's not if it's a suggestion to something that potentially might be not important. Even for somebody who's a first-time playthrough and we all know that he's not going to have a second time playthrough on stream, he will enjoy his first time and should the tip that I have dropped help him out in the future then it's worth it. If not then there's no harm done. It's still not backseating because I'm not telling him to use foundations or to use 90° angles or to set up constructors in a specific order or to Min Max his playthrough. It was a hey! Look at that sign rather than hey. You should pull in here. So definitely not backseating. Not to mention that he's five or six episodes ahead now from when this comment was first put. So saying that he hasn't made it to that research really doesn't hold water. But as far as the way of the RU-vid comments go, it was a subtle hint on a potential idea. Nothing more. @@beatooze8025 he makes it exceptionally clear in the stream and in the videos and in the pinned comments NO TIPS. It is a blind playthrough. No tips means NO TIPS and definitely not trying to explain something he has yet to unlock. Backseating isn’t just telling someone what to do it is handing out advice when it is specifically asked that you don’t hand out advice. I watched his stream this evening he has been offline under 2 hours I have seen what he has unlocked.
