It takes roughly 97 spheres to unlock all the upgrades but there are roughly 300 spheres in the game as of 1.0 release. So your able to build multiple storage depots for several items in the game to increase and stack the upload rate for them.

Some people think the reason you often find spiders near gas pillars is the gas pillars are their nests. And that's why the gas nobelisks don't harm them.

Kibitz you really need to hold the object scanner set to Mercer Sphere when exploring. They are EVERYWHERE. You could track one, pick it up, and have another one on the scanner right away.

6:10 You can just fly up to the nests if you crouch while flying with your jetpack. It still makes you a little slower, but if you take off with a decent bit of momentum it's barely even an inconvenience. So long as you're holding down the crouch button, the nest won't open, no matter how fast you're moving around. Still, nothing beats gunning it down from a distance.

The purpose of gas nobelisks is, in my opinion, to purge an area of all creatures. This is because pretty much all creatures, apart from stingers, are damaged by the gas and those that can move will run out of it. As a result, the best use case for gas nobelisks is to purge an area so you may enter it without worrying about being attacked

basic rifle ammo is best against hatchers. 4 shots against a closed hive kills it. 1st opens it and 3 to kill. I think it's 7 for the big hatchers. Easily done outside of spawn range of the bees. I didn't even use homing ammo but that probably works too.

FYI if you make a blueprint that is just the alien power augmenter you can place it anywhere without needing foundations. also, fly nests only care if you are holding crouch, even with a projectile, even when in the air.

The gas nobelisk really should work on spiders. Eventhough spiders are immune to gas its the enemy you would most want to repell

@28:45 Several such sneaky rocks with 2 green spiders behind them. The crazy thing is the nuclear hog just wipes the floor with them. Watched one kill 3 regular and 1 green in no time.

i once had 15 spiders of all sizes after me... never ignore them else you gonna regret it later.

If you craft an explorer vehicle on top of a mountain or high up area and get in and back out real fast, the map uncovers in a much wider area than your character alone on foot. It's helpful if you want to explore much quicker.

You can not only sneak to the nests, you can continue crouching while flying with your jet pack - they won't eject any enemies.

Fun fact: You don't need to sneak up on the flies! You can just hold the Crouch button even while flying or jumping and sliding and they won't care, even if you shoot 'em.

Last time I was this early, corona was a brand of beer

I would guess a total hall of around 300-500 different artifacts and drives (not counting wildlife remains, easily double if including animal drops) Strangely enough, last night I was doing the same thing on my save. I looked at Satisfactory Calculator for some guidance on where the new drive locations were and selected the power slug layer and there were literally hundreds across the entire map. ( 10:38 ) When I look specifically at the purple power slug layer specifically, there are nearly 200 around the map. Also prepare yourself for the gard drive in the eastern sandy area north west of the Blue Crater and next to the nearby nitrogen well. When I travelled there last night to grab the two drives in the location, I was met with 3-5 large, boulder-throwing speed pigs as well as 2-3 mega spitters and several smaller mobs. I died multiple times just to get these two drives. For some reason, they are HEAVILY guarded by wildlife! (Pro tip: Use Power Towers With Platforms when fighting against large amounts of ranged creatures. This will allow you to have a height advantage and give you an effective shield against their attacks. Also carry a parachute however, as you will be knocked off the tower many times during the fight.)

Use a gas nobelisk on the hatcheries. The flying crabs die almost immediately when they spawn, giving you time to take out the hatchery before the crabs can get to you.

fun fact with the hatchers, they wont open up as long as your are holding crouch, even when flying. so doing a slide jump and hold down crouch while in air you can hit, shoot, splode and they will never open. can even walk around on them

The stingers are scary as F with their long legs and sharp claws, thankfully I found an option in the menu to turn those monsters into cute giant alien spiders 👍🏻

I took the time around this military tech level to make some rails, leveraging the dimensional storage so I didn't have to cross the world for more steel. I regret it, because I cut through both the swamp and the red forest making some of those lines, with this tech level.

Something to try: fire yourself out of a hypertube into a power augmenter.

with the area around 9:29 I set up my early-game coal power plant and also the 3 quartz nodes make for a decent place to get quartz should you need it (2 of them are pure nodes iirc).

I focused all my upgrades on upload speed to get to 240items/m and just have 2 stacks, with a buffer to the dimensional depot too it's pretty much infinite because of the upload speeds! also it'd be funny if the gas nobelisk actually powered up the spiders, and turned them into the elite green ones LOL

Did you know you can still sprint up to the nests and they wont open, just do a crouch slide and jump while still holding the crouch and the nest wont open
