The Royal Crest milk box is from a local Colorado Dairy. They still provide you with the same box when you get milk delivered from them weekly. This might be an older one, but the current ones look the same. Crazy to see something that’s on my front porch in a garage sale across the country. Much love.
@3:00 minutes. That dog was in our house when we bought it.. stops our door and scrapes the boots...wonderful to see👍😃 P.s. I'll sell it to you if your ever in the Netherlands 😂
Funny story, my very first listing on ebay was Hot wheel I thought was worth about 30$ but I was a newbie and had the wrong car. Lol after that tho, garage sales picked up and ebay took off! I still have the hotwheel that never sold. Gonna keep it for a memory of my ebay journey that ultimately led up to that crazy DUCK HUNT SALE A couple years ago.
I think that milk box is a reproduction. That looks like a pressboard on the lid and sides. I think pressboard is fairly modern wood. I could be wrong. It's hard to know not seeing it in person. The cars I thought were a rip off. I hope you can make back some of your money. Thanks for the video. I always enjoy them.
I think that Milkbox is a Repop..Looked like it was made with press board.. They are usually made of metal or metal over wood. Plus condition was to good to have ever lived outside for very long. But great content and not every purchase can't be a winner.
That cast iron dog was a boot scraper that you used to scrape the mud off your shoes before you went into your mud room which was here you cleaned your boots and such.
I know you love VCRs. I just picked one up that plays all international versions of VHS. It sells used for $300-400 on eBay! Got mine with remote and manual (and original 2002 $800 receipt) for $20 at an estate sale last day bag sale. It had been priced at $160. Bonkers! Still gotta test it...
2:50 I just picked up that cast iron boot scraper a few weeks back. Been sitting at around $30. Lady is relying on google image search prices like so many today. That Sony suitcase was different, never know what you will come across. You’ve got a good eye and we all make mistakes, but I was shaking my head at you haggling on those cars. I bought a ton for .25 cents each once and still didn’t make much lotting then all up.
I knew you were all over those cards. Slow grind but they will triple your money at least. That Randy Johnson jersey is a definite keeper for sure. I dont even know if I could sell it!
Sony professional video case. Had slots for the camera and the separate recording module. Beta max. I had a similar one that was even earlier that and used reel video tape and was black and white. PS love your stuff.
If your buddy doesn’t take the cars, I will. That’s a good price on those if there are around that many cars in there. Many of those older Johnny lightings do very well for me. I sell hot wheels, matchbox and other diecast on whatnot. I would love to have a chance to take those off your hands
Racing champions nascar haven’t been good since the early 90’s. Lol Also I don’t think that milk box is old by looking at the hinges and the type of wood used. Looks like someone made a box and painted that on there with a stencil.
Great to have your regular content back John. Quick question - do you itemize and profit and loss each individual item you buy or just look at a total profit from total spend?
I'm one of your newer subs but I definitely have been watching all your vids and love the new episodes. It makes me want to go to a garage sale. Where do you see if sales are in your area? Are there sites? Im in CT. - Thanks for the entertainment
Hinges look brand new on that milk box(?). Otherwise, gotta luv the people in these yard sales; Heart of America, Salt of the Earth ~ just plain Good Folks!
I don't want to be all Doom and Gloom but I am seeing People sell a lot of Great Stuff lately just to get some Cash to pay Bills......... It's not easy for people to Live now days...........
Don’t ya think $30 was a bit of a low ball offer on the box of cars, especially considering his $2 each price point. I think you knew it was a low ball offer as you still seemed fine offering $60 after he turned down your $30. As you are a reseller, I understand the desire to make as big of a profit as possible. However, I think that’s what sets some resellers apart from others. Some of them actually have interest in what they are buying and are willing to pay up a bit just for the thrill of having the item, or in this case, the thrill of going through the box just to see what all is in there, while others are all about the dollar signs and want to pay bottom dollar for everything.
How do you know that the tub of cars and JL are a bad deal if you have not even gone through it yet. I had a teacher tell me once not to ASSUME and that's exactly what you are doing.
I work in the chemical manufacturing industry and i do not know why anyone attempts to grab the timberland pro line. They may be good for hiking and things but as far as a steel toe boot they're so uncomfortable
