I'M NOT FEARFUL I SPEAK OUT BUT JUST FOR THE MONEY YOU TOLERATE NO..... I SAID EVERYBODY STICK TOGETHER EXCEPT FOR US BL@C|{ AND THEY SAID I WAS RACIST..... IT WAS A ZIONIST OWNED COMPANY
Nanelle, my heart goes out to you. Hearing the details of your story bring to mind memories of my father's death in 2018. He was in a nursing home, 94 years old, living completely dependent on care, in the later stages of Alzheimer's. I remember arriving at the care home some time after midnight, having received the call, and being let in by the night-shift staff. The paramedics had been called, and were still there, having confirmed my fathers' death. And the police had been called and were on their way. But the remarkable thing was the look of fear on the faces of the HCAs and the nurse. At the time I didn't really understand why they looked so scared. But you have just opened my eyes. Most of the staff at this nursing home were African, but here we were, a white family, with white paramedics and white police officers attending. Thank you for telling your story. Thank you for coming to the UK and taking on what I know to be the most demanding of jobs. Thank you for your expertise, you care and your compassion.
Thank you for this comment, it made me cry, we see our clients as family, being a foreigner can be a challenge at times, even getting promotions some do struggle no matter how much they study❤
I'm a doctor here in the UK. Just to add to this, please whenever an incident occurs, once you get home, write down a detailed account of events and possibly reflect on it in your portfolio. It always comes in handy few months down the line when the info is now a bit fuzzy. That doctor a clearly racist and needs to be STOPPED otherwise he will keep doing this
My philosophy right there! I'm always writing things down to help me reflect on both great and not so great shifts. Thank you for bringing this idea here to help all healthcare professionals. We have been called upon to write in retrospectively that, if you don't reflect you're bound to leave so many things out when you're asked to do so. A very, very good idea. Thanks again.
@mohamadmacaulay6179 I was just thinking that as she couldn't remember much in her account.... Sometimes however, in the heat of the moment, you don't remember much as I can fully empathize with her.
I had that experience when I was a deputy security team lead at a hospital here in UK. This doctor spoke very rudely to one of my ethnic minority officers. My officer reported to me, I told him to take me to that doctor. When I got there I asked him if what he said to my officer was true she looked at me and answered my question with her own question to me. Omg I just lashed her with my tounge, reminding her of her duty of care and requested for her name. At this point she saw the anger in me and started panicking begging me not to report her that she was stressed from home and was sorry for how she treated my officer. I got her to apologise to my officer and then told her if such repeats again I will escalate it to the highest order outside the NHS
In fairness, she's a health care assistant and there's a world of difference between an HCA and a nurse and that's entirely unrelated to the rights and wrongs of this story!
If you can't find the doctor's name file a complaint against the agency that sent him. If the doctor signed a death certificare his name must be on it. If you can't get the copy yourself your manager can do it.
The people who make up stuff with such severe legal consequences for the accused should be forced to face the same charges they tried to put on you in court. Had my own experiences of false allegations, it’s crazy to deal with.
This happened to me. A poorly elderly resident accused me of bruising and. Pinching them and being forceful. This was corroborated by a white carer who was hostile towards me but always pretended to be caring. I was suspended, it was obviously escalated to safeguarding. And CQC. Thats the day i learned the importance of having a witness when things are escalating as well as documentation and joining RcN or any union. Nobody likes you or has your best interests at work, not even the manager. dont get too comfortable ever. Oh, and yes i ALWAYS pray now before i go to work especially at night because that's when darkness really manifests.
@@NanelleGriselda thank you so much. It traumatized me because i was very new. I had just passed my OSCE and hadn't even had my pin. My COS was almost revoked. It was 3 months of sitting while waiting for a disciplinary hearing. But by God's grace and prayer i made it.
Racism in health care is alarming. I tediously went through few years ago, i was arraigned before coroner's court, stood in the dock ,questioned for 1hr 30mins. It's expedient, nurses to pray fervently all through nursing career. To God be the glory, the judge overrule on my favour.
@haz5797 Yes,I had 2 solicitors, my employer gave me one, my union gave me one cos the family had 2 solicitors. Having a solicitor is clinical case-based. Most especially as a colour nurse I wanted to tighten all the boundaries to avoid loopholes from legal innuendos. It was an experience I would never wish to my enemy " as a colour nurse arraigned to coroner's court. The question asked by their family solicitors were implicating on my nursing professionalism, then connected to my patient/care. Please my advice , get a solicitor, then rehearse "attribute of nursing professionalism with modern clinical nursing practice. You're not aware of the allegations from the complainant, full access to the allegations will only be known by your solicitor, then he.ll advise. Bear in mind, your work colleagues are never your friend. Discuss less at work on the topic , pray 🙏 more.
I'm glad it worked out well for you ❤ mine, I was a scapegoat, I was doing 4 roles due to lack of replacement of staff, that was before covid, I was the Clinical manager, did reception work, helped in the kitchen, nurse in charge supporting other nurses and care staff, laundry staff, had 2 senior managers on sites one of them a Christian, they never helped with even answering the phone, they expected me to take on some of their roles, when I sent an email requesting for staff, they ganged up on me, they gathered information against me, that's when I realised God is real, I had so much pressure but so much peace, I was about to reach my long service leave, I was given a warning letter, I resigned and sent a letter to HR with my recommendation, I surrendered all to God, I find this as a healing space to share, sending love to you all❤ I forgot to mention, my sent off was extravagant, staff really put together money for presents, one of them managers got me cake from her favourite shop, I ate it, I heard one of them managers was escorted off the sites when things turned up side down, I have lots and lots to share, I think we all need to write books for generations to come❤
I have worked in NHS as a nurse for 35 years my word were like family from top to bottom were supporting each other only some white patient were racist when treated by a black person but our manager was not allowing to be treated different
Sis, don’t let it go otherwise he will think is normal. Racism has no bounds. Sue his a*ss including the organization that is protecting him. So sorry for what he stupidly put you through. They should verify where he got his medical license because his behavior is no different from a drunken man in the street. Shame on him.
And there you have it! No-one can win with you people and many of us wonder why you're sticking around since you hate us all so much and since we're all so 'Racist'! There was a clip earlier of a Nigerian activist in Ireland demanding 'land', 'properties' and 'businesses'. He was utterly unfamiliar with the concept of hard work and meritocracy, he just insisted that everything should be handed to him and his cronies. Ireland is all but destroyed as Irish people have their very significant struggles and many do not have their own land, property or businesses. These things are earned, not given and it was ever thus!
I took someone at work to an employment tribunal for bullying, discrimination and harassment. I received an out of court settlement. I will never forget how that manager made me feel. And I'm sure he will never forget me either. Because I took him to court. He bullied the wrong one. Please pursue this doctor. Dont let it go. He has hell to pay. What a poor excuse for a man, he was hoping that the police would have the same disgusting racist attitude. He was just trying to get u fired just because of a 10 min wait.
I am a black Caribbean / Central American degreed nurse in U.S.A, who has worked for 30 + yrs for affluent whites/ Jews primarily. Stand up and don’t let that doctor get away. Persevere. He knows exactly what he did…old school bigot. The dignity, compassion, care, patience, and grace we give our patients is exceptional most of the times. Only fear GOD. I am so sorry you had this demeaning experience . It’s very stressful. That doctor has exhibited that negative toxic behavior before, and will again…. Educate yourself as highly as possible, and take every class you can so that you have the highest autonomy within your field. Education is POWER. God didn’t give you a spirit of fear…..what would all those care homes etc do without the black immigrants? I don’t do that type of work, but know it is very sacrificial. It is the intention of such bigots to intimidate you. Don’t let him win.
Yes, he threatened her livelihood just because he's a racist and should pay for it. If things did not occur as they did that night her career may have been over because of some white man's evil. No! Take a stand
You are a brilliant , beautiful young woman. Don’t get stuck doing what you do for work now. Spread your wings. Don’t limit yourself. Do private nursing for the rich. Do plastic surgery nursing. There are so many other options
This is far too common across different Practices at various levels..thank you for sharing...and you have been so brave to share your story and inspire others to help us navigate this evil. God bless you and it will be well!! I claim it IJN!
Hi love, a hug for you. I salute your courage to share this. I can relate the psychological trauma this must have caused you. Remain strong and don’t forget to pray whenever you are going out of the house. Prayer has intervened for me in similar circumstances that would have happened. Much love❤
So sorry for this. I am black and born in the UK and I get treated badly too. I hope you are able to get the Doctors' details and report to the GMC. I would also report the behaviour to the police.
What a darling you are! You are so wise and a gift to everyone that has any connection to you. Just found you speaking about Hilary! True friend and a hero. Then i landed on this case of the not so nice doctor! Am of rwanda origin and living over 38 yrs in europe. Uk, Netherlands and now Hungary. I am grateful for wisdom and grace to survive such nasty bigotry but you are a breath of fresh air. Keep being yourself. You are amazing.
You are spot on with pressing for this to be legally address. As you have discovered it is isolating but the right thing to do to stop this happening to someone else.
My blood was boiling since you mentioned the doctor. This is evidently still emotionally affecting you. I would encourage you to pursue with the case. His next victim might not be so lucky. Thank you for sharing. ❤❤❤
Nanelle you need to report this to the police too for anti social behaviour and verbal harassment and aggression. He will regret this and will probably lose his registration. Don’t worry about this at all. You’re a brilliant nurse ❤
How can she when she does not know the doctor’s name. Even when she tried, they tried refused to give her the doctor’s name. They are good at defending their own
@@Beautifullybroken30 That doctor would most likely not be English. I can almost guarantee that. There is a part of the world he is most likely to be from.
I’m so sorry Nanelle this happened to you. However, don't let this slide, and ensure you build up your prayer life. This world is more spiritual than physical.
I'm so sorry for what you went through, and only those who have been there understand your pain. My wife is a Pediatric Community Nurse in the Republic of Ireland, and she went through two similar situations. It was by the grace of God that she was saved from it and the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation (INMO) played a crucial role. I urge all foreign nurses to take prayer seriously and ensure they register with the INMO if they are in Ireland. Once again, I'm deeply sorry for what happened.
This childlike dependance on a lord/magic is one of main weaknesses of the disenfranchised and the oppressed - it makes it easier for the powers that be to keep you beneath their feet century after century. While praying, YOU HAVE TO BE STRATEGIC AND FIGHT FOR YOURSELF.
That’s so so bad. I really hope you get a big apology, compensation and he is discharged or disciplined severely. He should be charged with a false claim and discrimination against you and other staff. ❤
You are an angel, that's why God protected you. Sorry you had to go thru such an ordeal. You will get grace, because you do your job with love and a good heart. God bless you 🙏🏼
Nanelle, I will say you’re strong. I worked in the same setting (end of life unit, private set) you can imagine how many death I have seen. I always call “on call” to verify death, even though am a nurse, I don’t want to verify death, I practically want to push the task to doctors. They must come. My dear, I got tired of this profession many times, bcos your job can end one day without notice.
Wow! By sharing you are already starting your healing process. God was with you on this. In Switzerland and once watched a Nigerian lady cry so much in a zoom meeting on how she has been racially profiled here 😢. It helps to make people aware of these cases.
So sorry to hear this. This is discussing treatment. So glad you shared this story. You’re clearly a women who loves your job and cares so much for the people in your care. I’m glad you are pursuing having this doctor answer for his crimes. Deliberate, manipulative, false accusations and deformation of character, I’m sure are a crime. Yet again I’m disappointed with the RCN. 1 month before they could give a counselling appointment! Is that what our subscription gets us in times of great need? This, along with several things I have seen wrong with the RCN, is why this year I will be leaving and joining UNISON. Would love to connect and offer support, prayers and encouragement. We are not strong on our own, but God gives us strength. Please any nurses, care assistants who would like to study the bible so that you can learn/continue to rely on Christ being our sheild, DM for more information .💙💜
Dear Nanelle, thank you for sharing. Sorry you went through that. I pray the Lord strengthen you and bring complete healing and comfort. Vengeance is mine says the Lord. The Lord will fight for you, be still. ❤
the trauma you experienced + still experience due to your police interaction was the point. he knew it wouldn't go anywhere, that's why he left + refused to come back. the point of him calling the police + reporting a suspicious death was to subject you to the trauma you experienced, to flex his power. i have words, so many words for that.....individual. but i'll keep them offline. i'm glad you're OK + i'm glad you're sharing this! not sure why the algorithm recommended this video to me but i'm glad it did + that i've found your channel. love + power to you, sis. 🖤✊🏾
No matter how brave or prepared you are for racism, when it happens especially in this extent is always very crushing. They make you feel so insignificant and less. In that moment you are damned if you do and damned if you don’t. Even a cry for help falls on deaf ears.. so sorry you had to go through this. Strikes a nerve for me too.
So sorry this happened to you! I see how painful it was to share but I am thankful, sooo thankful, that U powered through and told your story. U are much stronger than U give yourself credit for! Thanks for your advice at the end of the story. U didnt remember to pray before every shift but Our God certainly looked out for U and worked things in your favor. Great God (in Heaven) of providence I thank you 🙏🏾❤️🙌🏾
Am sorry for what you went through. It makes me wonder if it's worth the effort and stress and money we Africans spend in relocating abroad to work. We are often treated poorly.
My dear you are Strong. I used to say the exact same thing about myself until one of the hardest things I've ever had to go thru in my entire life happened and I made it thru like a soldier, even helping others while in pain, that's the moment I stopped saying I wasn't strong. You are very Strong, If God is in us like He says he is , then we can't help but to be strong. 🙌🏾💕
Can't imagine the trauma you experienced. The devil is a liar. When the enemy comes in like a flood at your workplace the spirit of God will raise up a standard. That's my prayer for all of us. So sorry for your experience.
😢 Hi Nanelle, I watched this video with tears in my eyes, from the beginning to the end. I have been following and watching all your videos since coming to the UK in 2021, and your videos are always informative and my go-to many times. Thank you for sharing this very traumatic experience, Im so sorry u had to endure this. The hearts of man can be so evil, but we serve a true and living God who fights our battles, who contend with those who rise up against us. I pray God will bring a resolution to this matter in your favour and lead you on the right path. Working as a nurse in the Uk comes with many challenges, but I thank he didn't give us a spirit fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind. God does not sleep, nor is slack concerning you. CONTINUE TO LIFT YOUR HEAD HIGH AND BE THAT AMAZING NURSE THAT YOU ARE! #loyalsubscriber ❤
Thank God you were vindicated, I learned something from this video always pray before stepping out for the day🙏🏻, years back i was also mistakenly identify by the police for offence i didn't know nothing about still 27:09 trying to clear that issue till date may God continue to fight &protect us IJN, you just got a new subscriber.
I am so sorry for your pain and hurt. I thank God for coming through for you, thank you for sharing. This brought tears to my eyes. I can relate 100%. A very cruel world we live in.
So heartbreaking to hear your story Nanelle and I'm glad you shared it. Am just glad that it's been a while since it happened and you are now in recovery. You guys do a job which so many of us are not kind enough to do and I'm grateful that people like you work in care homes. I visit a care home frequently in London since a 96 year old family member is being cared for there. He is nearing end of life too and it's such a hard job for the nurses to look after him because sometimes he refuses to eat and sometimes he just doesn't want them to trouble him. And he always says that the nurses are awful. The only good thing is that he is not racist to the black nurses, although he's white. I really enjoy speaking to all the carers that I meet when I visit him because they are from all over the world. I also make sure that I'm kind to them because carers are just amazing. So please don't let bullies ruin your day, we appreciate you. Take care.
Don't worry Nanelle, all is well with you, when things happens like this ,it for a lessons to take you more higher positively in all you do. You're strong, a teacher, and a good professional nurse. Thanks for sharing.
If you are from another country be aware if people feel they are being challenged they will try to destroy you. You must always have the mind set to document everything while at work.
So sorry this happened to you 💔 Please pursue your case further, this doctor needs to be removed from his position and charged with “Malicious prosecution”
I'm so sorry you had to go through this. That's a horrible experience. I think you've handled it well. In medical practice, lying is a probity issue for which one can be struck off the register. That 'doctor' has probity issues and should not be on the GMC register.
Am sorry to hear you went through that ordeal, but thank the Lord for coming through for you. What goes around comes around. He will meet his fate very very soon.. be rest assured. Thank s for sharing this experience for us to learn from.
I truly have no words, I cannot even begin to imagine. Oh my dear Nanelle, I just pray you will find healing from this incident. May God always protect you. Thank you for staying strong and for sharing your story.
Griselda, your story is touching and full of lessons, and I love your forthrightness in acknowledging you could have avoided the situation if you had taken the course that qualifies you to verify the death of your service user. This is such a balanced storytelling and I hope everyone learns from it. However, I would like to add that you should not give up on going after the doctor; you got lucky, but your sister or brother somewhere might not be as lucky, so the doctor and others like him need to be stopped before they take people's livelihood away from them with frivolous charges. There are tons of human rights laws that can support your case, and I'm sure there are lawyers who will take your case pro bono. You might even make some coins in the process. Don't give up, please, if only for the sake of others and for posterity. Fight it through.
Hi Nanelle, I hope you’re doing fine, I watched your video yesterday and I couldn’t stop thinking about you as it really touched me. I want you to be strong and I’m certain the autopsy report will vindicate you. I would also like to say that when working in healthcare we need to be extra careful and vigilant cause we deal with reality. Usually when a paramedic is expected as you have called them, it’s always good practice to just instruct a carer to stay by the door/entrance or best area of the home that they can easily see that the doctor has arrived, in other for the carer to also direct them promptly. And most especially when you’re aware that you may not hear the bell ring from your unit. I also understand that you may be short staffed to let a carer go stand somewhere for minutes, that should be your organisation’s headache not you, Veronica is your priority at that moment. All that being said, that Doctor attacked you and hindered you from doing your job by shutting the door at you and asking you to leave, he also threatened to call the police if you do your job (which is communicating and getting the death certificate). That should be taken up. And he is also a suspect because you were not there to confirm what he actually did in the room as a fellow colleague rather he ask a family who does know much about the profession go in with him.
Thanks for sharing, and I'm sorry you went through that. As Africans, we are used to leaving everything to God, but please pursue it legally for record keeping sake as silence at times can be harmful in the future. I work as a self-employed personal assistant, and my contracts are very strict. I don't allow anyone to intimidate me, no matter who you are. I take pictures and videos a lot for record keeping too, never assume all is well. If I were you, the moment I noticed the Dr giving me attitude, I would have let him know that I would be recording our conversations for record keeping as no camera in the home. Trust me, he would behave and will not have the guts to go lie against you to the police. Sending you hugs, remain strong dear.
This is so wrong. I don’t even know what to think anymore. The fact that nothing have been done about the doctor makes it even worse. Thank you for sharing Nanielle
I really want to say thank you for sharing your story. God is really with and for you and God never leaves nor forsake us regardless. He is faithful always.
SORRY THAT YOU had to experience this ill treatment. I wish I could give you a hug.😢I understand what your SAYING. I'm going through similar experience. Hope it's all behind you. God bless you and THANK YOU LORD FOR GOING ahead of my SISTER and MAKING a way for HER
Welcome to England. Many African’s come here with rose tinted glasses, thinking that everyone loves them ,and they don’t know the struggle, how things were. I ‘m sorry for what happened to you,and I hope other Africans see this.
I am African living in the diaspora. Trust me Nigerian Africans don’t feel that way. We may make you think we believe you like us, but we know how things roll deep inside.
Well I'm from the UK. And like Africans😊😊😊 but have experienced a couple of black nurses that were very nasty and one African doctor that told me that at least I can collect full disability when I get a double amputation ( that I didn't know I needed) and then he laughed and asked me why I was crying after he just dropped that on me out of the blue!! Told me he thought I would be pleased because of the extra benefits that I can claim and spend on drugs!! He then told me that at least I would save money on shors . I have Rematoide Arthritis and went to arrange my bunion operation ( well that's what I thought anyway!! His bedsid manner was terrible!! All because I was a hard drug user for thirty years I was 41 at the time and my mum picked me up crying my eyes out !! Got straight on the phone with the surgery and he had to write me a letter saying sorry and admitting that he had broke life changing news to me in the wrong way .2 weeks later I got a second opinion and they told me that I may need an amputation but only if I choose to when my feet become to much to bear and that it's not 100% going to be needed .even when I was crying I had to reach across his side of the desk to get myself some tissues he never even offered me any and you could tell that he was taking pleasure from upsetting me .very strange as it's the first (and last) time I've had this doctor Please please be nice to your patient if you,re a Doctor or nurse. Because people often take your world as gods
@@YvonneMcewenHis name would be on the death certificate. The home can get it for her. If she tells the agency its a police and court matter, the police can get it too. The lawyers would do all this for her anyway. She can report him to GMC so they know he has a pending. If he has any priors of similar incidences on his records from work, they will know this too.
@@YvonneMcewenStop it. This is why Africa is in ruins and people mistreat Africans. God helps those who help themselves. If he treats a nurse this way, imagine what he is doing to vulnerable patients.
You got me glued to the end sis; on a busy morning. That’s when I know this is an authentic story. Well told. And sorry you had to experience this. Please please please come back with the results of you pursuing this case against the doctor! Don’t stop!
Thank you so much Dear Sister, I am going through Racism now through my colleagues Nhs ive been home now more than a year. Thanks for sharing your experience , God Bless you 🙏 🙏 may the Lord Protect and fight for us. I hope they will understand we have the same red blood.
@ayoteju8416 •I am never shocked anymore I don’t do your job and to be honest I really could not (People are very fast to be rude and aggressive)My son is British /Sri Lankan but 14 Years Old..People are exceptionally ignorant and horrible…Your protecting the patients from getting out and going roaming this is crazy rudeness as I said the care my Dad had was absolutely amazing by everyone? He passed alone ,but with amazing care from everyone? The lady phoned me I had been there earlier and he was very near end of life ,I was hugely grateful to all of them ..She told me my Dad had gone to the cottage in the sky I would both have been able to stay I had to return to my son and also my Dad had kind of make it clear that he wanted to know I was strong enough to cope that was my priority..❤I wrote a card to every member of staff ?On the NHS team you should not be shocked by anything my dear .It’s horrible situation 😭😭I am white British this makes me ashamed and makes me want to leave ..
Girl! I'm a black nurse as well in a care home working night, and I can identify with you. It aint easy working nights! I have been here for 5 years now. I can only imagine the ordeal that you have gone through, but I do share your pain. Like what!!!! The sacrifice that we have made for others!!!! Keep up the good work. I totally agree with you. We must always pray before going to work. The devil is doing overtime as well. PS. What you shared forced me to comment. I have never commented on RU-vid before. I am seething with righteous indignation right now! But God delivers again! Thank God for people like you.
Thank you for sharing, I had to change my service location because of this type of circumstances. Sometimes these unions don't respond especially when you need. Keep up the good work
I worked in the UK as a nurse & I faced similar racism behavior. It is very real, especially in the NHS. They threaten your livelihood because of jealousy & racism. You develop PTSD.
Hi Nanelle, sorry for your experience. I’m a safeguarding officer in London and currently investigating a similar incident. If the issue is still ongoing and you are worried, I’m happy for you to contact me to ask any burning questions.
Oh my! Definitely pray because you just never know what is lurking around the corner! Also, please do not let this case go because this rogue doctor may do it again to someone else who may not be so lucky! Rotten behaviour like this has to be stopped!
I am glad to put your story forward, and you should interview people having to same issue to raise awareness. I am a teaching assistant and am being dismissed because 2 other TAs have lied to cover themselves, because of their lies I might be even barred with the DBS. The black community should get together and help each other in their field, lawyers, doctors teachers, etc...to help our children be in a better place. May God bless us all.
I’m so glad you were vindicated… This story reminds me of an experience I also had as well with a service user.. In all my healthcare videos I can’t emphasize on how much I stress on the importance of prayers in this job because it can go sideways in a blink.. Don’t ever let anyone born of a woman make you feel bad you are a great Nurse and an amazing person.. And weldone for sharing your story I have learnt something new taking on new courses as well 💕 Very true when there is inclusion in a team of different races it really does help in the shift.. Follow your heart as for me u will leave it to God especially if I was vindicated, I just want to move on with my life.
So sorry to hear you went through this. His ignorance will not go unpunished. Karma will surely catch up with his bad behaviours. You just rest and be at peace.
Thank God you're a very smart young lady who can comfortably express herself. Otherwise, it would have been a very different story. Welcome to the UK, and be strong, my dear. Blessings ❤
