I'll never understand how it's just considered ok to make fun of men losing their hair, it's something you have absolutely no control over and most of that crowd was probably men this is something most of them will have to experience in their own lives and it can be a really tough thing for someone to go through especially at a young age like that and psychologically scarring. There's also still a serious double standard of how men and women are treated, imagine if the crowd at a woman's soccer game started chanting "balding" at a woman who was dealing with alopecia, the world would catch on fire! But it's still perfectly acceptable to make fun of men for this because men are expected to be mentally stronger and just put up with it.
@zBorderPatrol

It's weird how people make it out to be that men have it easier, or men are treated better, with terms like "male privilege." You look at stuff like this and it's obvious women get treated better than men. Being fat is a choice and being bald isn't, yet making fun of a fat woman is considered a social taboo but making fun of a bald or short man is considered okay.

Otherwise am gonna look like an emoji since beards aren't allowed at school
@exactly1176
@exactly1176 5 месяцев назад
Derma rolling won't do shit (just saying) you gonna end up bald anyway. Only finasteride + minoxidil will freeze your hairloss in time as long as you use both these treatments forever and don't give up. Everything else is copium. If you are " anti drug " then better to just shave your head and accept fate. Too bad since finasteride + minoxidil are extremely safe drug unlike the fear mongering you can read on the internet says.
@Baldcafe

It’s not necessarily the fear of sides that puts all people off. You must also recognise that many men just don’t want to have that constant daily use of medication and that feeling of being dependent on it. In many ways it keeps a lot of the problem of hair loss in your life since all of the problems are on an emotional level. You know at any time if you want to stop taking these pills and topicals etc then you will once again be confronted with that pain. Many would rather just suck it up and deal with that pain head on once and for all make peace with it and be done… luckily most recognise after that point that they really didn’t need to be so afraid of going bald as it’s never as bad as we fear.
@exactly1176

I’ve started losing hair at 18, now i’m 23. My hair situation is not good, and unfortunately is getting worse month after month. I tried finasteride for several months with no results, now i’m back taking minoxidil. But nothing help. I’m not ready yet for a full buzz cut, but i’m cutting them shorter every time (yesterday i cut at 6 mm). It’s bad for me, and make me feel a lot insicure to he honest, especially aroung girls. I’m not beautiful and this situation makes it even less easy. Hope to find some confidence in the near future. Anyway, Happy Christmas guys, I love this community⭐️
@exactly1176
@exactly1176 5 месяцев назад
Finasteride takes up to 2 years for the stabilization of hairloss (don't expect regrowth but stabilization only). Several months was not enough. Get back on finasteride as soon as possible and don't ever stop the treatment. Also combine Finasteride with minoxidil at the same time (just use both together) and again : never give up on minoxidil. In 2 or 3 years your hair will basically be the exact same as what you have right now (again : don't except regrowth with treatments). And then just get a small hairtransplant to fill in the ground you already lost. By doing that you will still have hair in 20 years and more. Giving up on finasteride so soon because you expected regrowth was a massive mistake. All finasteride does is freeze your hairloss in time. Minoxidil on top of finasteride " might " bring you back some ground but minoxidil alone won't save your hair long term. Just use both forever, be patient and never give up. Stronger treatments like GT20029 might be coming in a few years as well and hairtransplant work great as long as you are on both finasteride and minoxidil at the same time. There is hope but don't give up so easily. Hope this helped. 🙏 Edit : you might get a shedding (during the first year) at the beginning of those treatments, it's perfectly normal . It gets worse before getting better.
@tommasov10

@tommasov10 you've got this ! Please don't give up 🙏. Just stabilize the situation while later getting a hairtransplant. You will be alright 👍. I started losing my hair at 18, thought I was doomed but at 31 years old I'm a solid Norwood 2 thanks to finasteride + minoxidil + a FUE hairtransplant 12000 crafts. I still have lots of crafts left for a future hairtransplant if I ever need to. And GT20029 is coming and I will definitely add it to my current hairloss stack. Consistency and patience are the key. Edit : minoxidil does nothing without finasteride. It has to be combined with finasteride to work well. And minoxidil once a day at night is enough, don't bother with minoxidil twice a day.

Real question… do you truly forget about hair loss when taking finasteride or does it actually just keep it a thing in your life always slightly hanging over you. I’ve noticed a trend over the years with many people who watch the channel on hair loss meds but still watching hair loss content… it’s interesting and why I always try to make my content accessible for all people dealing with balding because you never know when they decide enough is enough and the go the route of acceptance.
@exactly1176
@exactly1176 5 месяцев назад
@Baldcafe thanks for your question. I'm gonna try to answer it as best as I can. I've been on hairloss meds since I was 18 (started balding at 18). My doctor told me back in time that considering how young i was and how aggressive and premature my hairloss was : I would be Norwood 6 by 25 years old (if I didn't do anything about it). I immediately got on hairloss meds st 18 (on minoxidil first, which was a mistake since it's too weak by itself) minoxidil slows down hairloss by a lot but doesn't stop it. The DHT has to be stopped ! But I fell for the fear mongering back in time and was scrared of finasteride... My hairloss was under controle until I was 25 with just minoxidil (never missed a single day). By 25 I was balding again but very slowly. I later got on finasteride and my hairloss got frozen in time, finasteride completely stopped my hairloss for years (of course I never dropped minoxidil) so I basically used both. 1 year ago I switched from finasteride to dutasteride, and it's been a year and I got crazy regrowth, my hair came back to a thick Norwood 2 and is barely noticeable at 31 years (currently on both dutasteride and minoxidil) so basically on the strongest gear. Finasteride was working just find but i wanted some regrowth that's why i made the switch to dutasteride. And I have no side effects whatsoever etc... At 31 my hair are as good as when I was 18 which is insane to me since I was supposed to be a Norwood 6 by 25. My brother who is 1 year younger than me didn't take any hairloss meds and started balding later than me (at 20) and he is now completely bald (Norwood 6) at 30 years old. He regrets not taking any meds but it is what it is and he moved on despite those regrets. My point is : hairloss meds are extremely powerful and work extremely well as long as you start early on and as long as you are not lazy with it (you've got to be consistent and never give up). So to answer your question : No i don't worry about hairloss anymore (even though i don't forget about it). And i only go on hairloss RU-vid channels to help other people. That's it . And if I ever lose a bit of ground despite the meds in like 10 or 15 years : I know I could just get a small hairtransplant to fill in the gaps so no big deal. I'm basically never gonna be bald and I don't have to become bald. Winning against your " fate " is just the best feeling ever. " you will be a Norwood 6 by the age of 25 " . Me : " no sir, that's not gonna happen ". It just shows good will, strength and not giving up. That's my opinion and that's where I disagree with your take on hairloss . Nobody has to go bald anymore in 2023. Edit : you will say : " but it sucks to use minoxidil and to take dutasteride " . I will reply : " minoxidil takes 5 minutes per day (once a day at night is enough) it's just like brushing your tooth. It's that simple. And dutasteride takes you 5 secondes of your time, it's just a pill you swallow with a glass of water " . So it's no big deal. Then you just wash your hair in the morning and you're good to go. It doesn't take longer than shaving your head smooth everyday but it does make you look better since you keep your hair (as long as you started early enough etc...). So yeah while taking hairloss meds doesn't make you " forget about hairloss " : it does make you proud you are taking action. It's just like brushing your tooth not to get cavities. Same thing . But just like going bald doesn't make you forget about hairloss since when you shave your head : you notice you are bald and you lost your hair and didn't take action early enough to save your hair. I think that nobody forgets . But there is one good option (saving your hair) and one bad option (losing your hair and going down in terms of look and well being... at least by a little bit) . Hope my answer was clear enough and very precise 🙏
@lucas953
@lucas953 5 месяцев назад
@@exactly1176Actually you revealed yourself to be very insecure. Going bald isn't a "bad" option, it doesn't make you uglier. You aren't better for "taking action early" you're just insecure about your true identity, face it, it's part of you, it's in your DNA, you really should embrace it. Going bald requires much more courage and determination than hiding behind some hormone disrupting pills for the rest of your life. Stop fooling yourself.

Started balding at 19, got on 1mg dutasteride within a couple months. Have maintained all of my hair. Really hate this channels advice of not to fight it and just accept your fate.

You hate it because you can’t understand or relate to the concept of being able to totally accept balding, be happy and have a great life. I assure you it’s very real and very possible.

I agree with you. They're always like "I started using Minoxidil but I stopped after a few weeks and Finasteride has a tons of side effects" without doing any research. The truth is, the vast majority of guys look better with hair and they'd definitely be happier.

I mean I don't think that's the message to take away here. The whole point of this channel is to support men who may have tried it all but still found themselves going bald. It's all about understanding and not being alone in the struggle, It's really great that meds work for you but sadly it doesn't work like that for all of us. It's not that they are advicing not to fight but rather telling you that there's nothing wrong in "losing" the battle or just letting your hair go.

Did you miss the bit where he talks about accepting it? He said he didn’t want to have to do all that, he felt it wasn’t worth it. I know that concept is probably difficult to relate to perhaps but it’s real. Many men feel that way. Myself included.
