Adding blades to your lures is not something new, but it is something that a lot of bass fisherman have not tried!

So many fisherman spend a ton of time thinking of different ways that we can be better and that we can catch more fish. Sometimes this means that we might try to build our own lures are spend a lot of money on lures that we don't need to try and be different.
With that being said, one of the best ways you can be different when it comes to bass fishing, is by simply adding blades to your bass fishing lures.
This can enhance your lure and at times I have seen it to help me catch twice as many bass.
BassFishingHQ is dedicated to teaching people how to catch more and bigger bass. I will go over different bass fishing tips & techniques that will put more fish in the boat or on the shore. Whether you are just starting out or a seasoned tournament angler, my goal is to help you catch more bass.

Now this is really giving up real juice , started doing this last summer when I found a great deal on the Zman TRD spinz, bought about 20 packs , been doing all kinds of experiments with some good results , last month we were at Chickamauga and throwing small keitech swimbaits , I cut the tail off of one and added a willow spin and started catching fish, then did the same thing to a keitech on a scrounger head , deadly combo
@maximusmeridious7655

Yea I been doing it on a swimbait for a hot minute. My trick was doing it with an underspin as well. But try the colorado for the tail, It will look a little better with a swimbait

@@maximusmeridious7655 I mostly use the gold Colorado unless I'm at a lake with shad then I have found the willow seems to be more effective

Used many of the blade rigs and found they didn't catch more or bigger fish than my own hybrid (Frankenstein) soft plastics. Flash may help a bit, but not enough to spend money on those in the ad/video.

Adding a blade to a jerkbait will stop it from suspending and adding one to a spook will inhibit its action. Adding bladed hooks to crankbaits, jigs and soft plastics does work well.

Worms are already to expensive to be adding a spinner blades even if it is effective! I also don't do tournaments so not trying to edge out any competition. I will at some point give it a try and like you said you will lose some. Long term & regular use is not on the radar, $$$... Perhaps there is a way to hard mount the spinner and have it at the tail of a senko!?
@fishhunt3471
@fishhunt3471 2 года назад
You could take a needle and run some fluoro to your hook so it stays solid and you don’t lose a spinner

Interesting ideas to try though not for the reasons given in the video. Fish strike lures - not because of what they represent, but because of the way they look and move in the water. Any effective lure design will catch fish - all year - not just when conditions are (supposedly) ideal. The idea of lure modification is the best message the video has to offer. Beyond that, not of much interest to those of us that have modified and made lures for decades. JMHO
