He's probably not 1000. Either he lied, or he doesn't play enough on whatever platform he's getting his elo from. You just don't last that long and make that kind of structure as a 1000, I've seen what that elo has.
He probably just played a lot of chess irl and not online so his rating isnt accurate. That's why i often beat my 1400-1800 rated friends while only being 1100 online.
The above poster makes a good point. When you get up there with Hikaru and Carlson, you aren't going to lose to a random person. You would have already met anyone capable of giving you a game, since there are so few of them
@@typing1932Average is 800 ELO and 1000 is at the 80th percentile, so it's actually quite good. However, her ELO is more than double his, so the massive gap is the major factor here.
@@skylarya1054she's 1000+ points better than him.A new player has an around 300-400 elo An avg player has around 700 and above 2000 are nm im and gm .
Oddly enough chess has a fairly long history of trash talking to intimidate and throw off opponents, but that's during informal chess matches in parks. You should check out Washington Park or Union Square Park matches on RU-vid. Classic NYC chess.
Definitely heard “what’s your chest rating?” Lmao Edit: Just got a notification about a reply on my comment and Wow 4.1k likes! That’s a first and it’s pretty cool to see. Considering the clip and the context of my comment, that was kinda a freebie though. lol
I think kids are just better at learning patterns. And what better place than today's world to find those patterns? Chess will go to shit in a decade or so.
I definitely think I should've played e5 after nf4, but other than that, most of my moves were somewhat solid (minus the end time pressure, that was horrible lmao)
Youre the guy who thinks every waitress is flirting just because she smiled at him once, arent you? No, she was definitely not. She was just being friendly with a little friendly banter.
@KidZekai Yeah thank you man, I could definitely see how that could be interpreted wrong. I was focused on the board instead of what I was actually saying🤣
