I did the same thing this year....built the bag. Putter Odyssey Triple Track Ten, Cleveland Zipcore wedges, Taylormade Sims AW-5 and 2iron(still learning), Callaway Big Bertha 21 4 hybrid, 3 wood, and driver... and last but not least golf ball.... Vice Pro. Its neon green. Love them. I wish I had your swing speed.
I use Callaway chrome soft and have been very happy with it,I love the buttery feel with the driver,the csx feels to firm for me,and btw I use the truvis black and yellow soccer ball color scheme watching it spin when chipping is so cool
Not to mention the 5 dozen package deal. Makes it palatable when you pump balls into hazards. But when I find a prov in there I’m $2.50 to the positive. Ha ha ha.
Actually just purchased myself some vice balls and I'm very excited to try it. Keep hearing they're basically Titleist balls but usually go slightly further and feel very good off the club
I found a pro plus on the course and played a few holes with it. Goes far with the long clubs and gets plenty of bite on the greens. Plays like Tour B XS in my opinion at half the price......
Vice Pro Plus is all I play now for all the reasons stated in this review, and it just adds the confidence and cool factor…290 with my sim2 max 3w at sea level was the nail in the coffin for me
Same here. Every year Vice has a buy 5 dozen get one free. Less than half the price of most premium grade golf balls. Love the drip series green and black.
Been using the Vice pro plus for several months and I love it. The feel, consistency and I always buy 5 dozen at a time. There’s something to be said for having a stash of balls sitting at home and never having to buy a sleeve at the course! I don’t even get excited anymore for finding a pro v1 in the weeds. I throw it in the bag sure, but I still reach for the Vice first every time.
I used all my found pro v1s during Fall evening golf when you simply can lose a ball in the rough cause it's dark by hole 7. Nothing but Vice going forward.
The ball I'm rocking... The most premium one I can buy in sports direct for around 12-15 quid a dozen. Currently got srixon AD333 on the go and 2 boxes of Wilson ultra to use too 😂😂
If you were comparing the softer, more spin versions of each companies balls, you should have used the the standard Chrome Soft versus the Chrome Soft X. I play the TP5x but have been testing the 2020 Chrome Soft X and finding an improved ball speed but not ready to switch yet.
Played Pro-v1 for years tried the Vice one round and that’s all I needed to switch! The game and wallet have improved dramatically! Glad you saw it the way I did in the results.
Tigers’ ball is so set up for his swing and the feel he likes that it’s not optimal for many players. Peters’ tempo is so different than Tigers’ that he might not get the results he’s looking for out of it and he already knows that. The Tiger ball was on clearance at my local golf store for $25 off when I was there today. Would have bought some to try but I don’t swing like Tiger so it would be pointless.
@@mulvihillmatt It’s for a 105 mph or plus swing. So yeah Peter definitely has that swing! Fred Couples also plays a Bridgestone ball for slower speeds the RXS!!! And they also have a Tour X And Tour RX!
I've used Vice as well, they're great! I need to try their latest still, but I loved the last gen versions already. Also as a person that plays green, I think they have the best shade of green available from any company (that lime is just so easy to find and it looks great! :)

thats a LOT of purchased balls Curt. Are you losing that many? If you don’t lose them it must take years to go thru that many unless you reload a new ball and discard the old one frequently. I shoot in the 80’s but I find way more premium balls than I lose so I rarely need to buy balls.
@@kimmorrison9169 I also buy the Vice in bulk, and yes, I do lose a lot. I'm pretty wild off the tee, and the courses I play aren't all that forgiving. Deep rough, water, trees and undergrowth. Even so, they really don't degrade over a year or so, so there's no harm in having enough for several seasons.

I'm a callaway chrome soft x guy i fell in love with it the first time i tested it i use it every season and now I'm going to use triple track chrome soft x and I'm excited to use it agin this season
I wanted to try a softer ball. Grew up on Titleist. Found the Chrome soft, and really worked on my overall game, and knocked 10 strokes off my score in one year. It was especially better off the tee.
Good choice. I switched to the Vice Tour this year and was pleasantly surprised how much better it felt right from the start, actually never expected to notice such a difference. And yes they are seriously good and making it feel different/special using their balls.
I've been using the Maxfli Softfli (Red) for the last 6 months. I like the feel off the face. But, I've been seriously considering switch to the TP5 because of the pix. I like the idea of being able to focus on a smaller target area no matter where it lands. Smaller target makes for a more consistent strike in my opinion.
currently using whatever I find while searching for mine, but after hitting a few Vice Pro Plus deeper into the woods than the rest I can attest to them going farther with driver.
Gotta admit; I love the Vice ball and especially since you can get them down to about $26 a dozen when you go the bulk route. They let you split the colors as well when you buy in bulk as well. I usually grab 5 boxes (I play at least twice a week) and usually get two of the green, since they are so easy to see this time of years with low-light and all the leaves and mud.
I play Z-Star XVs, but honestly, I’d play any ball that’s a lower launching tour ball. I just feel most comfortable with those since I’ve played them forever due to price
I play with the "normal" Chrome Soft and it suits my playing-style. Not the longest hitter at hcp12, but I find that I can control my lengths better with the CS than I can with V1 and the bridgestone
Pretty sure the TP5 should've had 12 points at the end. Was a bit surprised that wasn't the winner at the end, given it was at the top for short game. Vice being perfect for your irons is a bigger advantage, though.
Thanks Pete. I played the Chrome Soft for years until I had three balls crack on me during my Club Championship! Brand new box and I only swing 95-100mph. I gave been playing TP5X ever since and am very happy with their feel, distance and workability.
I was playing the Pro Plus for a while but recently switched to the Snell MTB-X. Similar price point but longer and straighter for my swing. Keep up the good work Pete. 👍🏻
Have you tried the Snell mtb black to compare ? I would assume the softer feel of the Black would be better but I haven't had a chance to play this brand.
@@rogerbird9420 they have a trial pack with 2 sleeves of each MTB ball. I prefer a little firmer ball but didn't see much difference between the X and Black around the green. Both are good balls in my opinion and you can't beat the price when you in bulk.
@@rogerbird9420 also in Canada. The price difference between Vice and Snell are basically the same (assuming you buy the 5 dozen at once). I have bought from Vice about 3 times over the last 2 years
I play the Chrome Soft but tell people all the time that the difference among the top line premium balls (for me) is pretty negligible in my humble opinion. No monitor data or anything, just performance and feel is all about the same for me across the board. I just like the soccer ball look on the CS
As an older woman playing in Melbourne Australia, I love the Chrome soft. It is 2-piece, and goes straighter and further. Bright orange so I can see before everyone tells me where it I’d 🤣🤣🤣. I know exactly what it will do . 🎄👍🇦🇺😁🏌️♀️
I just started playing the TP5/TP5X. I found one and played it for a couple of holes and WOW. Went out and bought a couple of dozen (they are the practice version) Love em. Love the feel. Love the look. Love the distance.
I’ve been playing the Vice pro plus for a few years now. I love this ball! I usually order 5 dozen at a time which works out to about $30/dozen, including taxes and delivery to CA. Compared to $42-$47/dozen for any other premium ball in the market and its hard to justify using any other ball. Great review. Keep up the good work!
I was a pro V1 guy for a long time. I'm a 10 handicap and hit my driver approx 300 yrds. I tried a dozen Vice Pro Plus (swing speed about 120) and added 17-20 yards to my drives. A golfing buddy (swing speed b/n 80-90 mph) was hooked on the Callaway Chrome Soft when I started using the Vice ball. I told him about the Vice site, he bought a dozen Vice Pro Soft balls from Walmart. He's now strictly playing the Pro Soft now, and beating me occasionally!
I'm a Professional Golf Instructor and I've used a lot of golf balls lol!! I really like Vice products! There golf balls can run with the big boys 100%! I've been using the Vice Pro+ and Tour for about 6yrs now and would recommend them to any golfer out there. What's really cool is they sell a mixed box of balls(a dozen)for you to try and it's cheap too!! Give them a try. You just might be surprised!🤔☺

I bought a few dozen used balls at the beginning of June online, and while waiting on the shipment bought a dozen Vice pro plus. Immediately bought five dozen more Vice after one round, and was almost making excuses to lose the used balls (no excuses needed, though) in order to strictly play Vice going forward.
I've gamed the Callaway Chrome Soft for years and before that the other Callaway premium balls, but last year I was alternating between the Chrome Soft and the Mizuno RB Tour
I was playing the Vice Pro, *(3 piece construction), and switched to the Oncore ELIXR , *(3 piece also). I like the ELIXR more and their equal in cost, provided you purchase in similar quantity. In the long run you save more with Oncore's loyalty program and my orders are at my door much quicker, another bonus.
I have been rocking the SNELL MTB for 3 years now and will continue too. Great price point at $32/dozen. It performs extremely well for my game 12 hcp.

Currently using the Vice Tour. Planning on going to the Vice Pro when I get better at ball striking. Been working on correcting my slice, which has been improving.
I switched to the Vice Pro Plus about a year and a half ago and don’t regret it one bit. I used to be a ProV1x player for years prior to switching. In white, can’t do the colors...
4:30.. is the reason I would never buy expensive balls. I'm happy with 2x dozen Slazengers for £11 and whatever I find in the rough. Lose two Slazengers, it's pennies, lose two Pro V1's, that's lunch.
I’m a 15 handicap who just upgraded his entire bag to Ping I21O irons, Cleveland RTX Zipcore wedges and a Cleveland Launcher HB Turbo driver. I was using budget friendly Titlest Chrome balls and was disappointed in how I could never hold a green ever. Decided I needed to upgrade to a premium ball that matched my premium new clubs. Still wanted a budget friendly ball so I picked up 5 doz Vice Pro balls @ $30 dozen after taxes and shipping. I could not be happier with the decision. I’m holding greens and I am scoring in the low 80’s and shout a 38 on my last 9 holes. The balls have been a big part of that.
Also one has to ask if the Adidas sponsored golfer suddenly supports Vice after Vice releases a adidas golf shoe. Sorry just pointing out the obvious question.
I've played the vice pro plus myself for about a year now and will continue to for the foreseeable future. Prior to that I played the TPC pics and honestly love both ball's but can't beat the price at vice and I love the colors offered...
Been switching back and forth between Vice Pro and Pro Plus for about 3 years. I've tried every other ball i could get my hands on. Only one that I like as much was Mizuno rb Tour. But, vice is half the price. It's a great ball, and I love it!
I’ve used Pro V1x and TP5x for the past couple years. On a whim I tried the Vice Pro Plus about a month ago. I was shocked to say the least! I absolutely love them and have not looked back since.
I randomly grabbed a Taylor Made Soft Select out of my bag last week and played two of my best rounds ever with IT. Yes, 1 ball lasted two rounds. No scuffing/cuts and the best scoring ever. Now I just need to find more of them, as they are not as easy to come by as some of the bigger name balls out there.
I am playing the Vice Pro Plus for a couple years now, maybe more. I first found a Vice Pro ball on the course and tried it and loved it. Then I did some checking and decided to try the pro plus and found it was more to my liking. I recently saw the vice pro soft which they say is for slower swing speeds, so I bought a box. I currently am using the VICE TOUR ball, by far the longest off the tee for me. I'm a low handicap senior (64) years old. Not sure if my swing speed is high enough to benefit from the PRO PLUS (95) mph But after this test I'm buying a box to check it out. Excellent review Well done Dan Southwest Florida
I've been using Vice all year, I can say I was happier with losing a Vice than I would have been losing the higher priced balls. If I can straighten my drive I may cut my losses severely 😉. Ever better is the fact that nobody plays them so I can easily locate my errantly sprayed shot's on someone else's fairway 😂

We found a Vice Pro in the woods and my friend, Frank, asked about it. I said it’s supposed to comparable to a Pro V1 but cheaper. So he decided to tee off with it on the next hole. Sculled right into the creek! I gave him a mulligan and told him to hit a Pro V1.
Hey Pete, i generally agree with your assessment. TP5 is super solid ball. THe Vice pro plus is great, however, it is not very durable and doesnt hold up like the other premium balls. I believe the chrome soft triple line should have been tested in this video verus the 'x' model. Additionally, I agree with folks asking for the Bridgestone. Keep up the great videos!! Guessing Rick will borrow this idea next season 🤣
Worked my way up the whole Vice line and yesterday hit a Pro Plus. My best golf round I’ve ever had so far. And I played the same ball all day, which is probably a first for me 😆🙌🏻
I have been playing Vice Pro Plus (as well as Pro Soft in winter) for about 3 years. Primary goal was finding a RED ball because of vision issues. I don't have nearly the speed you have but like how I am able to shape the ball and it is very good at stopping as well. The short of it is good ball strikes get good results. The only drawback is having to order in bulk or paying higher price for 1-2 boxes at online websites.
I’ve been using the Vice Pro Plus the last two years. I bought the 5 dozen deal at $20usd and still love them over everything out there. Great choice, I recon going with the white next time.
