I have 2 pairs of the Made in USA 993's. Made in Lawrence ,Massachusetts. They look very similar to the 991 and I think they came out in 2008.. I went through several pairs and the newest ones I have were made around 2018 and in 2020 NB made a limited release of the 993 in Vintage Indigo blue which is beautiful and goes well with jeans. Love the classic NBs. Glad NB still makes them and glad someone else appreciates them like i do. Good job Hes!
Hey hes I was just watching the video of the brooks aurora bl and you mentioned that you were going to start running, Have you tried it or are you now running???? Great videos handsome boii!!!!
I think the 991s are low key the best looking of the 99x series. If I wasn't in the wide feet gang, I'd buy 10 more pairs of these. [ I also made the mistake of going down a half size on my only pair but it's still awesome ]
Having 4eeee feet and rheumatoid arthritis, NB has been my go to shoes nowadays. They fit perfectly and doesn't kill my feet after 30 mins of walking. Gonna try to get me a pair also 😀
New balance 99 series are my go to for wide fit. Even better if u exchange the insole with a cushier option. Best materials and a timeless look. Just because my foot is wide doesnt mean I cant be fly!
@@Omegabalmung99 I’m 12.5 maybe 2E. It’s more of a toe thing for me. my big toe is weird and needs space. The 2002R isn’t made in the USA/England but the fit on those is amazing. Check out Hes’ review of the blue ones. That shoe fits me amazing, ymmv obviously.
I love my 991s. Personally I own the Slam Jam 991s that released last year and they are pretty soft but stable, and the materials and 3M on it is just amazing.
I’m wearing 993 US10 & it’s been my favourite NB. Now I juz got a pair of 991 but I have to to take a size up US10.5 . Maybe I got wide feet , 993 is much wider
Have you ever done a video for shoes that are best to wear as a retail worker? Keeping in mind that sometimes retail workers have to climb on things, so the super soft shoes don't really work for it Models like this shoe probably would, but are also pricey for just work right
It's been a DC thing since the 1970's now look we always would hit them with the nice Hugo Boss swimsuit with the New balance off the top fresh 1988 style but up to date 😁
I have a pair of these, and they are definitely one of the best looking and with the superior material quality out there for NB. Gotta say tho the toebox is a bit snug, I went for the same size I have on my 992 and 990, and it's just a bit narrow, so gotta be careful before picking these up. Also, don't expect the same level of comfort as a 990, its midsole is quite stiff in comparison, and I wouldn't buy them for the purpose of being work shoes or daily beater
Hi, new NMD_ R1 TR w water repellent and continental rubber outsole are just available. I’m considering to get them but can’t find a review yet. Please check them out . Thanks!
992 is goated but I love the 991 sole. I wish there was a 992.5 of some sort where it takes the upper or sole of another shoe and did a swap making a new silhouette entirely.
@@michaelpalm2210 One would have expected that Apple's chief officer would have upgraded to the 992 by the iPhone's unveiling in 2007, but that wasn't the case. It wasn't until later that year that he began getting regular use out of the sleek silvery grey New Balance 992, the shoe most associated with him today.
Great review on a great shoe. I bought this model last week, I went a half size up and it feels great for me. Super great quality. The 991 are a low key right now but I think it will be the next 992. Aime Leon Dore is about to launch several variations of 991s 😏. I bet it will participate on the future hype of this model. Thanks for the video @heskicks
@@shikaka2325 I went half a size up because I heard it was better for wide feets and it is great since then. I did the same with the Palace model that dropped a few months ago. Please notice that since then I went a size up for every model I bought (990v2, v3, v6 and 860v2 and also on AJ3) and it is the best decision.
there are some variations to this shoe, you have the original 991, there's also the 991.5 and the 991.9 (that I know of), in these .5 and .9 variations the sole gets swapped with soles of other numbers. I feel like the turquoise black 991.9 is a must have for any new balance lover
Isn't the 990v6 coming out this year? Last 99x pair I had was a 990v4 in triple black. Wore it as a work shoe on concrete walking 15k-20k steps a day. The sole lost its comfort to me after about 6-8 months of 40+ hours of wear a week.
I like the 991s but the lasting on all of the made in UK shoes is goofy in the toe/forefoot. I have these 991s and like them but prefer the fit of the 990 more. The 1500s made in UK fit super goofy
I had bought the 991 back in 2004 and was made in USA. Unparalleled quality and crazy cushioning The UK version is a huge disappointment, it's a joke compared to the original one, the midsole feels like being made of wood. I tried it in a store but didn't buy it, it's only for fashion victims who can't compare.
