i was so insecure about my sideburns, not anymore!!  

I have sideburns too. Ive been incredibly insecure about them ever since a boy in like 2nd grade made fun of me. I have not done anything to them but cover them with hair. Im very happy to know that im not the only person! I think i may try this out!

I didn't even know this was a potential insecurity. I always thought that everybody has those.

"I was so insecured about my sideburns but not anymore." I'm so sorry if I sound rude. I don't mean to but you still are insecured. That's why you got them removed. I hope you and others come out of this self depreciating thought. I have had really prominent black coloured sideburn hair ever since I was a child. And it stood out against my fair complexion. Of course I was bullied a lot for having it. I used to dislike (not hate) it as a teen too but I grew up to love them. I actually think sideburns makes people's faces look shorter and younger but that's my view and you are welcome to disagree. Now as for the bullying comments...see. Most people gets bullied for something or the other in their lives. Either their looks or their intelligence or voice & stutters or clothes etc etc. The ones who are bullying are the ones who feel less about themselves too. No one in this world has never felt insecured. Even the ones who are the most confident have felt less at one point. And people (especially kids who are 10 to 16 years old) will bully others for having features that stand out or looks unique. It happens in almost every school throughout the globe. But think like this that you are the only person in the world who looks like you and should be unapologetically you. Way too many people now looks like kardashians & jenners. Even many korean celebs looks similar to each other. If you can, look at pictures / watch old dramas of Koreans from 90s and early 00s. They look different from each other. They all had unique features which were beautiful in their own way. Would you care if your dear mother or dear grandma had sideburns? Then why do you care about yours? The right person will fall in love with you for you. I know it's just sideburns but it's these smaller insecurities that grows into bigger ones.

does anyone have any tipps on how to survive the time when letting the hair grow? (chin, upper lip) So far I always plucked the hairs, but now I made an appointment for laser removal and I have to shave the hair in the meantime. However the hair has gotten thicker and stronger.... And I really wanna pluck it, but I am refraining from it, but it's super difficult...
