Let's say you were given the following choice: 1. You instantly have native-level fluency in *5* languages of your choice, but you will have to start from 0 in any language you don't choose. Note: if you want to be fluent in English then that has to be one of the 5. 2. You instantly have native-level fluency in the top 10 languages by number of speakers, as listed on Wikipedia. That list is: English, Mandarin, Hindi, Spanish, French, Arabic, Bengali, Russian, Portuguese, Urdu. For myself, I thought initially that choice 2 would be a no-brainer: 10 >> 5 and you would be able to communicate natively with a huge chunk of the world. But then as I thought about it more, I'm not so sure. There's a lot of overlap there, e.g., Hindi/Urdu, Spanish/Portuguese. Also, if you have a personal attachment to a language not on that list, it would be pretty devastating to have to start from scratch. Which option would you choose, and why? And if you picked option 1, which languages would you pick?

I am from Scotland what is your way of learning .I have you ever done a contest here like learning for 3 weeks see how you do. Be good if you do that. maybe this will teach us all inspire to learn a new language. Scots Gaelic its a beautiful language.
