Tell me about it. I went in to inquire about ordering one yesterday. The LXS model for $29k. First off, he said they don’t make the cheap LXS model anymore and I needed to order the EXS model. Then he said I would have to agree to a $5k markup on TOP of the already $8000 msrp difference between the two. I walked out of there in a heartbeat , went to Chevy, and ordered a bolt euv for 15,000 less

Crazy!! Some dealers are not doing mark up. If a Honda is not marked up versus the Kia, I’d rather buy the Honda. If they were both at MSRP then the Kia.

My Dad bought a 2023 Kia Niro Hybrid. But he's 83. He only put on 3k miles in the first year. I hope he drives it until he's 100. But I told him that if he wants out of it, I'll buy it from him for my son.

Yep. It is exactly why I'm having one delivered today (Carvana, scream 😱 lol). It's a 23 with only 9.1k miles and drive Uber. I saw a Door Dasher say he got one.
I have owned mine for 3 weeks. I am getting 47-55. I drive 110 miles a day. I put it on cruise control to help me stay around 65 mph. I drive 40 miles at around 65 mph, then do 15 around 25-55. I do that route 2x/day. If I drive faster than 75, I can imagine it being 42-45.
So many things wrong with what you just pointed out; please stop attempting to make Hyundai seem like a great brand. They are absolutely garbage; horrible reliability, interior quality is mediocre, and comparison in price, a top end Subaru Crosstrek (the Niro competitor) starts at 36’000 for the limited model with leather 12” screen and 2.5L 4 cylinder that gets 40 mpg on highway. Not much compromise for a better, more reliable brand!
I would be real weary if I were to be considering a Kia, with all of the engine problems they have been having, poor customer service from Kia & countless Tellurides catching fire. IDK, eek!

Its just to small and for that price is overpriced. Plus only the upper trims look nice. 16 in wheels on lower trims, really, they can do better than that.
The Kia Niro was released in 2017, before NIO. Niro comes from the words “near zero”, to represent Kia’s line of fuel efficient and alternative fuel vehicles.
I would probably consider it if it wasn't a crossover... I'm so sick of them. Sedans are more comfortable and SUVs have more space, and then crossovers take the worst of both worlds. The lack of comfort of an SUV combined with the lack of space of a sedan.
Kia was always seen as "lesser" than the flagship Hyundai anyway. But I agree, Toyota is the king when it comes to mass production vehicle makers, with Honda and Ford following behind as #2 and #3.
I just brought this car on the 20th of October. I have covered only 83miles from brand new. My average is 60.3mpg. Mine is the entry level, 16inch tyre. I only brought this car for fuel efficiency, as I have a mercedes GLE 2021 which is a guzzler
